Need help urgently. My phone updated from 4.1 to 4.4.2 and buttons stopped working. Everything is stuck. It was stock update. Tried even custom rom DN3 but still the same. My note 2 is from UAE.
I have tried all the method, even custom rom. Now warranty is void so cant even go to samsung service center. Cant downgrade also. i read about samsung service center downgrading to 4.1 on this forum. need help.
Seems its a common problem after update to 4.4.2. i thought i was updating to stable and did not know got trapped now. will have to replace phone. can replacing bootloader might help. menu and back buttons work in recovery screen. very strange issue.
Very strange. I went to samsung repair center and they had to replace motherboard. then camera was not working and headphone was giving issue so that was replaced. Seems all the hardware is replaced and phone firmware is at 4.3. did samsung rollback the update.
Finally back on track. lets see what next. knox back to 0
Hi my friend;
Did you solve your problem. I have same problem with you. It started from 4.3 update. Now i'm using 4.1.2. Because up the 4.1.2 rom my buttons not working. If you find a solution please inform me
I found a little workaround .... i first update to kit kat with pit file and nand clear and still no sign of buttons...then i flashed twrp recovery and flashed slimbean 4.4.4 (latest version) then miracle the capacitive buttons work perfect ... so i can think someone make a workaround for the official firmware

Hi XDA Team.
My Name is sandeep am from India i got a Note 2 GT N7100 about 8 months back,
I got the phone rooted using CWM Mod coz i was interested in finding out what else my phone could do if i had root access as i was fascinated by one my friend who had rooted ( apparently this proved costly for me )
Soon i learnt i could Install Custom Roms where i could tweak the phones performance and appearance,
So i Flashed the liquid Jelly bean 4.2.2 from galaxtnote2root.com after researching note google for weeks and taking XDA's help by viewing threads and so on
it was all going well so i went ahead and flashed CM10.2 which is on 4.3 was loving it
Could have stopped here nope i wanted more cutomization
So i downloaded MIUI V5 for GT N7100 little did i know this could completely ruin my phone
As all noobs :cyclops: do i was in for a shock as i had Emergency calls only after flashing MIUI V5
i had backed up my previous rom so i quickly backed up to my old rom and to my surprise it still said the Same :crying:
After goggling for 2 fort nights and on XDA thank to a Senior members advised where i got the EFS backed up and restored it worked
Now after all this was happening my phone kept freezing in between and kept on rebooting which was very annoying
back to XDA for help and found a post where it asked to me unroot and install stock rom which i did
Nope it was still the same, this time worse kept rebooting as soon as its on network so flashed the DDMG1 modem which helped some what but not to an extension
I read in one of the post to Flash bootloader which should fix the issue so i did it or over did it rather:crying::crying:
It has messed up my phone all i get now is when i hold Vol up + power + button is downloading do not turn of target and its the same when i try to enter to recovery mode as well
however i do get the Dowloanding screen and ODIN still recognises my phone is there an options left that i can try here so that i can flash to stock unroot and send in to samsung to get it fixed permanently??
Please help me as i am struck after days of goggling
Thanks
Sandeep
Hello fellow community!
On first place i want to excuse myself for my bad English!!
I have soft bricked T-Mobile (USA) Samsung Galaxy S4 and everything i found in the web DIDN'T help me to recover my phone...
Here is my history for what i did to bring this condition of my phone.
I was on Original T-Mobile 4.4.2 Stock ROM working normal without any issues. But 2 or 3 months ago i was curious about installing on my phone CUSTOM " CYANOGENmod" rom 5.x.x NIGHTY edition. At all installing on that custom ROM was without problems and phone for this 2~3 months works flawlessly "normal"... all this time i updates every day this custom theme and I'm understand this is NIGHTY but at the end i was kind tired from this NOT exactly real and fully functioned replica of custom ROM and get decision to restore my ORIGINAL status of the phone and put latest (4.4.4) Stock ROM. 1st i download 4.4.4 ROM "M919UVUFNK2_M919TMBFNK2_M919UVUFNK2_HOME.tar.md5" for my T-Mobile phone. I put in in DOWNLOAD mode. Connect phone to my computer.. and Start ODIN3 v3.10.6 ( didn't install Samsung drivers because i already have installed them !! ). In AP i put latest ROM... checked was ONLY options Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time ... NO Re-Partition was checked or pit file wasn't given !! Jus i hit the SATRT and receive that !...
everything was fine till the end !!! Flashing stops on try to flash hidden.img.ext4 with error and FAIL all process !!!
I CANT understand where is my problem and what i can do to flash my phone normally?
Please community help me to solve this problem..
1 year ago i have almost the same problem but with the same error "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" and remember here on XDA DEVELOPERS i read the guide how to recovery phone after that but TBH i cant find this guide now with all my searching attempts..
Please for HELP!
and Thank you in Advance for your support!!..
Cheers!
Not 100% sure but you needed to do a factory reset before flashing stock firmware.
You can't flash kitkat over lollipop before doing factory reset because they are two different firmwares.
Try doing a factory reset and flashing again, if it fails pull battery, replace battery and go straight into download mode, connect to pc and flash again with odin.
Sometimes the double flash can be successful.
Good luck.

Would be nice if you could share your solution for others that may have the same problem
I flashed my LG G3 Because i felt that the sound was not working anymore and that it can be a software issue which it was a hard ware issue ( loud speaker wasnt connected because of screw) Anyways preformed the stock FW Flash following the guide that highonandroid provided to go completely back to a stock rom. After flashing i restart phone and the boot takes forever until it finally hangs on the tmobile screen. there was a point where i left it over night to see if it will turn on but it still hung for a good 8 hours. Ive done everything i can which can be that i preformed atleast hundreds of hard resets but nothing is working.. there was a point where i did manage to turn it on then i tried updating to lolipop and when it reboots the bootloop is back.. Please help!
I assume you opened the back to fix the speaker issue. Did you make sure all connectors are tight?

Same problem here, but here the device is G3 Liger F490L.
Please, somebody help me... I have a SM-T705m which I have rooted with android kit kat. After some months I got updated to the Lollipop and it was running ok, but it wasn't updating via OTA anymore.
Well, it happens that today I reset the tablet to the factory mode to sell it, but it was without unrooting, and then it got stuck on the screen saying "just a sec". I went further and tried to download some versions of the firmware and install it on the Odin3 without knowing exactly the number of the version Cause I couldn't turn on the gadget to look. I just got any firmware with the name of my model and my location (Brazil) on the site Sammobile.com....
But bang.... Now I can't turn it on because it is looping on the logo screen.... I tried to download the lollipop firmware and the kit kat..... Could somebody help me? it is looping and I need to sell it tomorrow. I would really appreciate it.
Boot to recovery POWER + VOL UP then factory reset.
Reflash the stock LL firmware.
I normally find a way around some android issues but sort of lost this time so iI need some help please!
Tablet is (was?) rooted and running cm12 plus twarp before the issue. It was running fine other than using a lot of battery.
So after replacing a battery my Note 8 N5110 started a boot loop and sometimes TWARP starts but does not work and it gets back to the boot loop!
I tried first re-load TWARP via odin and it passed but it was still in the bootloop so I tried load the stock firmware via Odin and I am getting failed with a
I have attached a picture of Twarp right before it fails, a picture of Odin with a failed attempt to load the stock firmware and the message I get on the Note 8 custom firmware screen.
Thanks in advance!!!
For the record I found a way out, the only thing that worked on my case was initialize the Tab using Samsung KIES.
Awesome software thanks Samsung, it saved my day and now....back to root and CM13 again
Hello glad you got it working. is it hard to replace the battery in these?
