Hi guys,
I tried to backup the efs of my device but it always fails.
If I try it with the toolbox 2.0 error messages: protocol error (status red) more then one device and emulator" shows up
If I try it with the N7100 EFS Backup / Restore tool it shows up the same error messages.
If I try EFS Pro 1.12.6 it also fails and shows error message that I have no root acces on my device, but SuperSU is activated.
I plug the device with developer usb debugging activated to my PC. Also as PTP connection, not in mass storage mode.
My OS is Win 7 64 Bit and I installed Samsungs USB drivers from the Toolkit.
Can anyone suggest a solution?
Kind regards
EDIT: I used a virtual machine with windows xp and it worked out. I also figured out my fault. I didnt had to plug it as camera . I trief it again on my primary OS (Win 7 64 bit) but it doenst work on it for, only on xp.
Thread can be closed as it is solved.
Glad you figured it out, but you could have just used root explorer or similar and copied the efs folder from root directory.

Hi,
i have an Asus VivoTab 3G that i couldn't get it to boot, but after downloading a windows rt 8 recovery image from microsoft and did the restore thing i got it up and running again, but the problem i'm facing now there is no wifi neither 3G nor sound drivers installed, and i don't know where to get these from knowing that even in asus web support i couldn't find no drivers for the windows rt.., is there any compatible drivers for my vivotab and how to install them?
thanks.
The windows recovery image from microsoft was for the surface tablet only (it even says that its for a surface RT, not windows RT), hence why you have no drivers (you should fine that your camera is dead too). The drivers are not up for public download. You basically cannot fix the problem with the resources published right now, there is an asus vivotab recovery image on these forums somewhere though which should fix it.
thanks for your reply, i had no problem with the camera, i have already found and installed a vivotab recovery image, and the news is i got the 3G working but wifi and sound not unfortunately.
Hi,
the touchscreen of my Vivotab RT is not working after booting Windows.
In recovery mode its working fine.
Reinstalling Windows RT did not help.
Anyone an idea?

You can plug a mouse to it, get to the device manager and look up for a touch screen device to see if windows sees it and if its turned off or something else is wrong
Hi,
I got a tablet from a friend of mine with broken software. So i tried to flash te original firmware with Odin, but something went wrong when I tried to flash it. I don't know what went wrong it just said FAIL. Now when I connect the tablet it only shows CLOVERVIEW in device manager without the correct driver. I googled a little and found something from an Asus zenfone driver installation and now I've got 2 devices when I connect it: CloverviewPlus Device and Intel Soc USB driver. I suppose this has to do something with the Intel processor in the tablet. I downloaded a program xFSTK-downloader and can find the tablet in the program, but I don't have the correct files to flash anything on the tablet. The program ask for FW Dnx, IFWI, OS DnX, OS Image. Where can I get these files or is there another way to restore the tablet?
Sorry for the bad English and greetings from Holland
I've put it in the wrong section, can someone delete this thread? Thanks
