You don't need the firmware. Just flash a KK rom and the NB4 modem. You are rooted already.
If you flash the stock KK firmware it will trip the Knox counter

The modem in utlr thread are .rar... so theyre not flashable right?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using XDA Free mobile app
If you need kitkat modem go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51017878
You can't kitkat with 4.3 modem, do kitkat modem before you flash anything else.
Pp.

Acually you can keep the 4.3 modem on KK. But, it may affect sound. I switch back and fourth myself...

Thanks.. I am actually using T-Mobile on AT&T.. I flashed my first rom(on my S4) on it this morning.. CM10.1.. lost LTE.. Kinda pissed lol.. Then I saw this thread.. so I am going to flash this and hope it have my LTE again
Thanks for posting this.
For any rom 4.2 flash an att kernel, your best bet with this rom is to flash your att modem (preferably with odin, flashing a modem with recovery can sometimes cause problems)

WatchOne, the remote app, works fine with the 4.2 GPe ROM, not sure about this one though.
lol, just for fun, i flashed the old root zip.. won't boot after.. Guess we will wait for a 4.3 root.
What you could do is try other universal root methods, doubt most would work with knox intact... And you run the risk of bricking your device.

So is it safe to flash AT&T modem on T-Mobile S4? With CM ROM I did not lose LTE just have to manually turn it on.

Always thought flashing different modems/radios from other variants were not a good idea.
The stock kernel that comes with the GE rom works on our TMo variants and aside from that I've had LTE working on GE as well.

I had to go back to a 4.2.2 GE.. This rom killed my battery..
I downloaded the deodexed version but am hesitant to flash. Has anyone flashed the deodexed version? Does it install with no issues using CWM, does it break root (I read in other forums this happened to people), does it play nicely with supersu? Are there really any differences from Android 4.2.2? I am just curious if anyone has any feedback on the rom. Thanks.
Can someone provide me with the link to download the stock 4.3 please.
Also, if I upgrade from the stock tar I wont be able to use custom Roms anymore correct? Or is there a way now to do so.
Tbh I'm a flash aholic and spend a lot of time messing with my phone. I love being able to have the latest software etc.. But I've come to a point where I just want it to work. Next device will be a nexus if I want updated software.
Thanks!!

Does not have "Settings". No settings Icon nor does the Settings Icon in the taskbar work either.
Im a new owner of a AT&T Note 2. Already have phone updated to latest 4.1.2 OTA, Rooted with CF-AutoRoot, and have CWM Touch Recovery installed. My question is should I start off with Skynote 4.3 Edition or Ditto Note 3? I definitely want to keep TW functionality and all the S Pen goodies. Just looking for some feedback here.

If you plan on reverting back to 4.1.2 at some point don't flash the DN3 yet, it comes with the new KNOX bootloader. I'd go with sky note.

I read a thread related to your question.
According to the thread, Skynote is first, and then DN3 for a successful flashing.
I don't know the reason.....

Thanks...your comment is helpful for me.
Actually you can flash DN3 without worries as I'm pretty sure it doesn't come with the new 4.3 bootloader or KNOX crap, I just flashed DN3 1.0 AND DN3.1 separately and I checked download mode it says nothing about KNOX and I have made nandroid backups of DN3 no problems plus restored to a bunch of different backups I have of older versions and have had ZERO problems.. but don't just take my word for it maybe ask in the DN3 thread I'm sure they'll answer your questions. And BTW I would go with DN3 over SkyNote.. More features in DN3. Cheers
Just looking over the DN3 thread because I've been waiting for it since they removed the download links the other day. Seeing a lot of issues with the flashing since this morning. For that reason I think I'll hold out on DN3 for another day or so and let them sort it out.

Look up the changes between jellybean and kitkat, not all apply here for example ART, but most do.. You may not even see a reason to update.. 4.3 is just as good, some like it even better, really its down to personal choice

Some people get better date speeds, while others don't. You can flash it and find out. You can always revert back to MK2
