I just updated my xmd with 4.3. Now there is a option to add themes. When I click this it opens Sony select and there are so many themes to download. But when I want to download these themes via google play, play says this themes is not for your device.
Is there any method to install themes
Sent from my C2004 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Come on man, please use the search bar on xda or even use google, this question has been asked like thirty times in this forum alone. But to answer your question, go to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697369
Follow the thread instructions and then flash the runtimeskin.zip provided in the thread. Flash Gordon will do the job. To get the full theme experience, after flashing runtimeskin.zip, navigate to /system/vendor/overlay and delete every file there and then reboot. And another useful tip is to enable superuser mod for the serajr xperia xposed module. This will allow you to install themes as a normal apk. That's all.
But bro please remember, the next time you wanna post anything, search it up before asking, thank you.
Press Thanks If I Helped!!
You have to root your device and then install the theme fixer. The theme fixer can be found in the Sony Cross-Device development forum.

HELLO ALL GRAND FELLAS!
I am here just to share the tablet ui mod for our galaxy grand. It can be done by any newbie but if you want the things to get faster you can view this thread.
NOTE: If you want to apply a new theme, you need to first change the dpi of your phone to 190/240(190 recommended) i.e editing the lines in build.prop. choose your desired theme and again change the dpi to 160!
REQUIREMENTS:
1. CM10.1 on your GRAND.
2. Xposed installer and AppSettings.
3. Your favorite launcher (I prefer golauncher), u can use nova launcher too or even holo launcher.
4. cm10.1update.zip and cm10.1restore.zip.
5. Root explorer or any app to edit your build.prop.
HOW TO INSTALL:
1. Install Xposed installer and AppSettings.
2. Go to Xposed installer and click on install. After installing go to modules and tick AppSettings.
3. Now go to AppSettings and set the dpi as follows--
(i)Browser: dpi=240
(ii)Contact: dpi=240
(iii)Messaging: dpi=182/240 (thanks to jomota7)
(iv)Phone: dpi=240
(v)Phone/Messaging storage: dpi=240
4. Go to root explorer to edit your build.prop, navigate to system folder, open build.prop and edit this line--
default->ro.sf.lcd_density=240
edited->ro.sf.lcd_density=160 5. Install go launcher or any other launcher that you prefer.
6. Copy both the .zip files(cm10.1update.zip & cm10.1restore.zip) to your extsdcard.
7. Reboot into recovery.
8. Browse to where you copied your both the files. And install cm10.1update.zip.
9. Reboot.
10. You can always go back to your default Phone ui. Just flash the cm10.1restore.zip and change the dpi in build.prop to 190 or 240 (I prefer 190, gives a perfect look to cm on Grand)
11. You don't need to wipe your data, cache or dalvik cache!
:good:Thats it! You got your Tablet ui on your GRAND!:good:

1. cm10.1update.zip-- http://d-h.st/bMd

For help people don´t see my post and karipari95 (i answered you) have this post: OPTIMIZE DPI system/app in 5'' screen
Using the right apps and DPI you transform your Grand duos in PC portable lol. For now only use my portable for flash CWM or root devides i fix from friends lol.
For now in test diferents DPI and increase font because some people need big fonts lol.
"CM10.1 on your GRAND."
Right.... Now understand this point. It's need install Rom cm10.1 first.
Lol I install in Rom cook by custom cook and error appear. Lol.
Put a uplink to tread for cm10.1. I need this phone operational 2 chip's, sow I not install cm.
Change DPI is good but some people don't like small font. Just need increase font in app settings or in settings android.
Thanks karipari95.

The tool OP has used doesn't patch stock ROMs, it only patches custom ROMs (AOKP, AOSP, CM, PA). Which means that to achieve real tablet Ui on stock ROM one has to do the job manually, and for this one needs to mod android.policy.jar, services.jar and frameworks-res.jar.
As for me I'm currently trying, and so far I only half succeeded.
Tablet mode works and apps like settings open in split view, and I managed to have the bottom mini tray to work (look at the screenshots below).
I still didn't figure out how to merge the notification top bar with the navigation bottom bar and I'm not sure I will be able to do it, but let's be optimistic:silly:...

Hello guys! I have been for a long time already here in xda, I started with an Xperia PLAY, that phone showed me how awesome can be the work that is done by devs.
Last night I started doing some modifications on my Xperia ZL and since the rom was odexed I had to deodex it first so I could start theming, and as a way to thanks xda community,
encourage the devs&people here to mod, theme and share I wanted to upload the deodexed System Apps and the Framework from the .253 rom here so the mod process will be more easy and bearable.
Let's get started. :fingers-crossed:
What's not Included
- PlayNow
- Sony Entertainment Network Applications
- Wisepilot
- Chinese & Japanese Keyboard (Including Skins)
- Sony Suggested Apps
- Chrome
- (If I remember another one I will add it.)

Please Note: This is not a CWM flasheable .zip, they're just the files from /system/app and /system/framework that are deodexed so you can mod them without having many problems.
If somebody creates a flasheable .zip to replace these files in the actual system PM me and I will publish it here with corresponding credits
PD: Remember to do a nandroid backup before touching anything in your Android System so you can restore it if the system fails to boot. I take no responsability if your phone bootloops, softbricks, etc.
Maybe you can make fully deodexed stock .253 rom also flash-able via recovery.
Anyway, thanks for sharing the files, it surely will encourage people to mod like you said.

Hello, guys. I'm sharing with you the app ZIPme, it allows you to create a flashable backup ZIP of anything! Build.prop, boot animation, system fonts, accounts, messages, wallpaper, Wi-Fi, apks, apks+data, only data etc.
It's really easy, I added some screenshots to you.
Tested in:
Xperia U | Xperia P
Note: if you test tell me to add in list
Hope you like!
Words of developer (JRummy Apps):
ZIPme is in beta. This means there will be bugs and some hiccups.
ZIPme is a powerful tool to create update ZIP packages to install in recovery. Whether you are a ROM developer or just getting into "root" and "ROMs" ZIPme can simplify your life.
Who should use ZIPme?
If you install custom ROMs on your rooted Android device then ZIPme can be a powerful tool. ZIPme requires root access.
What does ZIPme do?
ZIPme creates ZIP packages to install in recovery mode. When you install a new ROM your system is wiped and many times you clear your data. ZIPme can create a package of your apps, data and files you want to install right after a ROM or as a ROM addon. ZIPme programs and signs the update ZIP package so your recovery can install it.

I tried with system apps and that are working fine.
But how to make a init.d flashabel?
If I choose init.d there is no option to insert a init.d file.
It goes straight to make a zip.
Edit;
Found it...
It make a zip with the init.d scripts already on the rom.
So I can insert later a script.
Thanks for your work.
Working fine.

Hi,
- Nothing appeared in the search above when creating the thread
- I seen a few comments about this in different threads, but nothing specific so thought it was worth it's own thread
The new Xperia themes won't install for me. As soon as I click Sony select, it shows me either one of two screens (with different themes) and none of them install. Either I click download then I get the error "app not installed" or on Google Play I see "incompatible device".
I do not have root on 4.3 as my bootloader is locked, so I cannot put the new apks in system/app. Besides, this should be working correctly without the user havint to go to extreme methods for a change of look.
Do many others have this problem? Any way to get around it?

If you scroll down a bit, you can see that the problem can be fixed by deleting /system/vendor/overlay/android-res.apk. (Backup on SD just in case)
Follow up by a reboot and you're done. Tested it myself.
Hi! I have the Xperia M C9105 version *with android Jelly Bean 4.3* UNROOTED (Im from Spain) before getting this phone i always wanted to have emoji input in the stock keyboard. Actually i'm using the Pure Android Emoji keyboard, but for using it on Snapchat, it's impossible. And seems that exist an apk of the Xperia keyboard updated w emoji. (I cant install from Play Store). I tried to install this apk: mediafire com/download/5t85fx4yll1tcza/textinput-tng-emoji.apk
from another XDA thread, but when im installing it says. Not installed, and something of a package conflict. I tried to sign w ZipSigner and still doesnt work. I just wondered if changing the package name (if its possible)[from com.example.textinput. [idk what is the keyboard package name] to another package name so it doesnt make conflict w the preinstalled xperia keyboard. *I dont want to delete the preinstalled kb, it would be fantastic to have the emoji one and the preinstalled, bc i dont want to root Xperias (seems to be very dificult))
Anyone can help to edit the apk or give me a solution?? Im so desesperated:crying::crying:

Forget TowelRoot.Unlock bootloader using the guides, install a recovery (just choose one),flash SU zip and you're done.
Then flash an Xperia Keyboard zip from the Sony cross development subforum.

I know how to unlock bootloader from Sony, tell me how to flash a recovery on my phone, give me a SU zip and tell me how to flash it, and i think i will know how to flash the KB.
One question, without having root can i install a frexperia Rom?
