[Q] How to root?

Hello everyone I just received my device this morning and I'm completey confused as to how to root this device. I read somewhere go to http://htcdev.com/ or go to Modaco to install the recovery etc..Would anyone be so kind to tell me step by step how to root my device? Also on htcdev site, they down have listed the 1X on the drop down list. I appreciate it

Can anyone suggest the good roms based on CM 10.1 which is good in customisation and highly stable with least bugs???

well you posted a question firstly in the wrong section...two they are all good roms my friend and the best way to find out is by try and see for yourself..

Try ice cold jelly ..its very good n if u want to experience pure aosp try pabx aosp build...both r very good...

I think you would have better results asking this in the HTC One S forums.
This is the Verizon HTC One forums, we do not have an HTC One S on Verizon.

Lol I actually know what you're talking about. Clearly he doesn't. @dottat, he's referring to the processor snapdragon s4 instead of the other version with an earlier model of the processor s3 I believe. He wasn't referring to the gs4

Help ! Baseband unknown !

How to find back my baseband ?

Dude !!! STOP MAKING THREADS.....ask question in your running thread......this is so annoying. And i gave a link on how to install CM .....nothing no responce. But yet you make thread and post stuff in other threads. It's truly hopeless !!!

If you get signal then it doesn't matter if baseband doesn't match, If it really bothers you than you can always go back to stock

Then why don't you answer in your own thread ? Why don't you inform the people that take time to post helpful stuff (including me finding an old thread with the bootloader fix to install CM) ?

If you are really new to that all and you have NO clue about flashing ROMs etc...then I give you an advice...please keep your phone completely stock and you won't get any issues or so!!!... And open so many threads just for such a lil questions is really stupid...it would be better just to ask someone who knows about per private message !

Can you change the title? That mod is for the HTC One. It will brick the HTC One V if you flash it..

the title is misleading though. it's saying that there is a mod for dark bootloader. but there isn't.
