Hello,
In all my stupidness I misclicked wipe /system after I'd unlocked my bootloader via htcdev and installed clockwork recovery.
Now I have a big problem because I need to flash a rom from the sd card and the mount usb function is not working yet...
Is there any possible way I can push a rom file to my device or is my phone bricked untill they fix the usb storage function?
regards,
Besuikerd
relock your boot loader, put stock recovery back on, re-flash stock rom.

First two steps are done, but i still don't know how to re-flash the stock rom. The only thing recovery is now doing is giving me a screen that shows some text about warranty for 1 sec and then loads into fastboot.
Get the RUU for your handset - run that, and you're back to stock
Got everything ready to fix it but I've got a new problem now... The phone's battery drained to 0% and there seems to be no way to charge it. If charge it on splash screen, hboot screen or with the device off the ruu keeps saying the charge is under 30% :S
anyone who had the same problem and knows the solution?

Check this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
battery is still stuck below 30% or so the ruu says.
Another solution would be a recovery that supports usb, I can only find CWM touch and that still doesn't support usb...
I have a E988 indian version which is stuck at boot with the "secure booting error cause : Boot certification verify",
I can get only into download mode and no recovery or can not boot into OS,
Earlier when i was in the situation i could get into download mode and use LG support tool to flash stock, But now i am getting battery low error..
My question is "Is there any way to recharge the phone if stuck at secure booting error or in download mode ?"
I tried offline KDZ flashing also but there also i was getting battery low error.
Thanks
If you can get to recovery. Mine charges while in recovery.

Try a factory reset by holding power and volume down at the same time. Press power button to confirm reset. If you do this, sometimes it will reboot you in to recovery, if not try it again and this time manually enter recovery.

If i try to factory reset it initially asks for do you want to go ahead with factory reset and after i confirm the same old error of secure booting comes in... (factory reset does not happen), And i can not go into recovery mode directly using the volume up and power button...

I hate that stupid low battery message. It's so dumb that they do not allow you to continue at your own risk. I have also had this problem going from AOSP back to stock. The only safe way to do it is using LG Flash tools first, then flash one of those stock zipped roms. Now it is too late for that. Do they sell your handset in the country you live in? If so, they can fix it in store in most cases. For me, they don't sell this phone in my country, I was just lucky enough to be able to continually try to factory reset and then my phone randomly booted in to recovery (don't know why or how, it just did). After that, I flashed lockified TWRP and CM11 again.

Hey, My G Pro is on Miui and everything works fine on it. I can enter recovery mode and all that. But, I want to revert back to stock and this low battery error keeps popping upon during offline flashing. I have seen your method for bypassing it, but I have not found a solution. Is there anything else I can possibly do? Thanks!

This is what I did by accident
The problem, as I see it, is once you root your phone and put the custom recovery on it, CWM or TWRP, it overwrites your factory recovery. I tried using a 10k flashable zip I have to get my phone back to stock. BUT once I tried to get the OTA update to 10P, as another member here pointed out, My phone boot looped. So my question is, is there a way to remove the custom recovery and restore the stock recovery WITHOUT having to go through the PITA process of using flash tools? If there is a way it would save people countless hours fixing their phones just to get an update.
I know many of you don't see this as an issue because your whole point IS flashing new Roms. But from everything I have seen of this phone it's more trouble than it's worth. This phone is so very picky it's ridiculous. I just wnna get the damn 4.4 update, have it rooted to remove bloat, and call it a day. But to answer the OP question, you always have the option of buying a battery station online and charging your battery that way.
Fixed low battery error
My friend managed to fix the low battery error. He tested the method on my phone and during flashing the error did not show up. Will be creating a new thread which fixes the low battery warning soon. Stay tuned !

Nice work. And that thread will definitely help allot of others with that issue.
TL;DR
Aside from all the technical stuff, and since the g pro has a removable battery(thank god for that) there are several chargers that you can use which charge the battery outside of your phone. Here where i live (honduras) I have seen quite a few and had one myself(used it to charge spare batteries).
I'm having one hell of a time with this tablet. This is pushing a month and I'm still not satisfied with my tablet.
Tonight I finally tracked down what I had hoped was a stock firmware for my tablet. Halfway through the download it timed out and when I went to download it again, the same thing happened.
So I tried to take my tablet that isn't "properly rooted" anymore and use Odin 9, instead of Odin 10, and place kitkat on my device rather than be stuck with Lollipop 5.0.2. All of this because The Sims Freeplay app isn't working and I can't find another soul on the face of the earth who can give me an answer to why this is happening.
Now I'm stuck on the samsung logo. I managed to get it back in download mode and that's where I flashed Lollipop 5.0.2 through Odin 10. I figured that would solve my problem. It didn't, but at least I got TWRP back on my device.
I never recovered anything that came with my tablet. I did not think I'd ever go back to unroot nor did I know how to back it up in the first place. So there's nothing in my recovery I can boot from. So what I did was I came back here and I downloaded the recovery for TWRP. I flashed it from my SD card, it told me it was successful... now what? I've rebooted and my device still loads to the samsung logo...and just stays there. The little confetti animation happens behind the logo, but that's it. It doesn't turn off. It doesn't reset itself.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I'M DOING WRONG?!
I've already voided the warranty on this device and I regret almost daily that I decided to root in the first place. I say this only because I think rooted devices are top-notch, but I haven't been having very much luck with them. It took me a week to root. When I finally rooted then my favorite app game stopped working. Then I figured I could flash the stock firmware easily (but it seems like every place I go to find kitkat or even stock lollipop I can't find or I do, but files are corrupt or sites are full of ads).
I can't use my device at all now except click around in TWRP which isn't doing me any good.
I just want my tablet back. I spent 500 dollars on this thing and I haven't had time to even enjoy it. It's only two months old.
Please. Again. Someone HELP me. I want to figure this out and I don't want to accept that I bricked my device because I've watched plenty of videos on youtube and people are stuck with a phone that's resetting and all they do is fix it right there in front of my eyes.
Why can't I fix this? What is it that I'm not doing properly?

I just skimmed through all this reading, so I may have missed a few things. The thing I didn't see if factory resetting. You need to factory reset in twrp. Just go to wipe and factory reset. Now reboot and wait at least 20 minutes as it does take quite a while to boot.
If doesnt do, transfer a custom stock based ROM for your device (any KK ROM should do) to your SD card. Factory reset in twrp and flash ROM. Now reboot and wait.
Typically, flashing with Odin takes 20 minutes to boot up for the first time. Just be sure you factory reset.

Ok. I just factory resetted. Then I went to reboot and clicked "system". Now it restarted and brought me back to the same samsung logo... do I wait 20 minutes on that screen?

Custom Stock Based Rom? Does that mean I'll push myself further away from a stock firmware? Also... where do I find one and are there instructions for it? I thought roms were firmwares up until like 4 hours ago and I've been reading of roots for a little over a month now.
I see you've got the same tablet. By any chance are you running 5.0.2 lollipop and do you happen to know having a rooted device is the reason why The Sims Freeplay won't get past it's splash screen or if it's the app itself and it's newest update that made it wiggy?
I'll flash whatever at this point, but my main reasons for continuing to mess with my tablet was because of not being able to play the sims on there. Every other game I play works.

The only thing I can suggest is download this to your SD card and flash it in twrp. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=56345482
The Sims may not work because its uncomptiple with lollipop.
Simply, hit wipe in twrp, hit advanced wipe, and tick system, dalivk and cache. Then go back and install the Cm11 zip and reboot. Hopefully it gets you booting

I'd actually flash this as its more like stock just debloated.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/development/prerooted-stock-touchwiz-rom-t2973107
You need to wipe system, dalvik, cache and data then Install via twrp.
Wait at least 10 to 15 mins after install for initial boot up.
For future reference whenever you go back to kitkat from lollipop you need to wipe the data and cache partition first.
By the way some apps and games do not work on rooted devices for security reasons.

I understand that. That is why I clicked unroot in supersu and tried the game app, but it still wouldn't work. On my galaxy note 3 I run 5.0 lollipop and my game works fine. My phone isn't rooted and I never decided to root it and then unroot it.
Is an app smart enough to know when a device has been rooted and if are those that hack their actual game on rooted devices uses cloak or xposed or both to by pass their root?
I rather be unrooted for the sake of the game, but how does one find the stock firmware? Or is it not possible at this point?
Sorry for any confusion.

Okay. I installed or flashed ironrom to my tablet from twrp. i followed the directions it told me and I decided to pick the regular rom above the custom one that was close to stock. Then it told me that it was going to reboot; which it did. When it came back it got stuck on the same samsung loading screen so I powered it off, went back into TWRP (because powering off now isn't possible, more like restart) and I went to "Reboot " and then I clicked "power off".
I guess I'll be waiting for 10 to 15 minutes.
I Pray I did this correctly.

Why did you reboot back into twrp? You should have just let it do its thing after it rebooted.
So for any others that may happen upon this thread.
What was your solution?

I did because I thought it had to be shut down before I powered it on and waited. I realized afterwards that you probably meant to just let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.

cant reboot after failed encryption
I was trying to encrypt my galaxy tab s, which is rooted and has lollipop 5.0. Afrer reading encryption failed. I tried to reboot in recovery via twrp. My device doesn't reboot, it just acts like its going thru the motions. Only to return to twrp recovery menu. How do I reboot the system clearing the failed encryptions. I am a noob and any suggestions would be much appreciated.
You will have to go into recovery and wipe the data and cache partition then reboot.
It may take a while to boot up after that.
Well I thought my solution was using IronRom... but i'm not too sure now.
I just got back from work and I went to turn on my tablet and it took me to the same loading screen and then after about 5 minutes it tells me that the system can't respond. It asks me to click "ok" or "wait" ... clicking either just turns my tablet off.
Now the screen has dimmed. It's turning on when it wants and sometimes it'll show me the time in the upper right hand corner, but it won't let me do anything because it's a black screen.
What does all of this mean?
I just noticed if I click the "power button" it just flashes my tablet desktop then goes back to black, but it shows me the battery percentage and the time in the upper right hand corner...

Is there any solution for boot loop in gt-i9192?
My phone was rooted. I was using s5 rom proyect and my recovery was Philz Touch Recovery. I was happily using this rom for arround 8 months. Recently my phone was responding slow and my storage was almost full. One day while watching youtube videos my phone got hang! I just removed the battery and tried to restart. But there was a failure and no vibration. The phone is simply dead. I connected my charger and of :crying:course there was no indication. Later I went through several post to learn how to revive my phone from hard brick. I downloaded debrick.img file and made a bootable memory card. This time I was able to switch on my phone but it went through bootloop. The recovery mode takes too long to load and wiping cache and dalvik cache or even reset was not possible because of some error like E: failed to mount ......
Then I went into the download mode. and installed a firmware from sam mobile. Later I flashed CWM recovery through odin successfully.
But this bootloop still exists. Whenever I try to go into recovery mode it still takes a long time. And istead of loading CWM recovery it loads philz recovery mode that was previously installed
Please help I am tired

Dude,
I am also having a bootloop problem on my S4 Mini GT-I9192...
My TWRP recovery was working, I was using version 3.0.0.0 for serrano3gxx, but when I tried installing a custom rom, the right rom for gt-i9192!!!! for some stupid reason the twrp recovery keeps thinking that my phone is gt-i9190 !!!! it is so stupid!!!
for this stupid reason I couldn't install the ROM !!!
I decided to install the right recovery for my gt-i9192, so I downloaded openrecovery-twrp-2.8.7.0-serranodsxx-STABLE-signed
now, there was a warning to not install the zip using the recovery, but how could I install the recovery if I am unable to install anything with Odin!!!!
Nothing at all!!! I can't install anything with Odin, it just gets stuck!!!! So frustrating!!!!
And now afer I installed it said the installation completed successfully, but..... I can not even get the phone in recovery mode!!!!
What happened??? can anyone please help!!!
I am stuck in this stupid bootloop problem, and now on top of it I can't even go to recovery mode!!!! Nothing!!!
It is useless to do anything with Odin either, it recognises the phone, it says Added! but cannot install anything, it just gets stuck
WHAT CAN I DO?????
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.
Check out
You can try this:
1. Download this file: openrecovery-twrp-3.0.0-0-serranodsxx-STABLE-signed.zip and copy the file in sd card
2. Then go to recovery mood.
3. Install the zip file from sd card.
4. hope you will be able to install the correct recovery mood.

I think you didn't understand... My phone is not going into recovery at all!!!
I had this problem once when I flashed an incompatible kernel, but I forgot how I got out of it. Best suggestion I have is take out the battery and put it back.
The "hard brick" you suffer the first time was likely a dead battery. The phone looks hard bricked when a battery is below critical energy, and not enough power is available to charge it with an USB. At that point, you had to wait for the energy in the battery to store up again, and then plug it into the USB to charge. Just a little power was necessary to get it charged again.
If you can still access download mode, flash the stock ROM baseband of your phone (you should know what this is). Your data will be wipe but at least you will be able to use the phone again.

Bro hard brick was not a low battery case. I kept it connected to the charger for almost a day. Can you please just say how to solve the problem. I am totally disappointed.
Samsung Galaxy s4 mini (GT-I9192)
Also help me please i wanted to flash the firmware that i just downloaded from sammobile but if i started flashing, my phone stays the same like nothing happen. please help meee.. I've working on it since last month
Hi, anybody here can solve the problem? I have a S4 Mini I9195, is in a bootloop, can enter Download Mode, but not in Recovery Mode, I try flash stock ROM, Recovery y Custom Recory, I used both ODIN and Haindell, always said OK in both flash, but I still canĀ“t enter in Recovery Mode
I have updated my Nexus 5x to 7.1.1 beta and after a day it powered off and I got the infamous red led during charging. I was not able to turn the phone on even after leaving the charger on for some days. I thought it is bricked and left it alone connected to my computer.
However today, out of nowhere Google logo popped up. It was bootlooping, but I was able to enter bootloader and original recovery. I wanted to flash it from bootloader, but was unable, because it was still oem locked. And I was not able to oem unlock, because I did not do the required part in the Developer Tools menu. I tried to adb sideload OTA in the original recovery, but sideloading stopped after uploading ~48% every time.
So I opted for the "VolumeUp + Power" mode flashing. Phone was recognized and I started flashing the appropriate TOT file. However at 33% on phone and 28% on the PC, progress stopped. And after a minute or so phone turned off. Currently it has no signs of life at all. Have I completely bricked it now? Is there a way to recover from interrupted "VolumeUp + Power" flashing mode?
EDIT: at first I though maybe the battery died during flashing. But interruption was not abrupt. First the progress slowed down to halt. And then after some time phone turned off.
It seems not all is lost. Have a blinking red light again after leaving it connected to computer for a day. Back to square one, but at least it is alive.
Your motherboard is dead.
And it is not your fault, mine also died while using beta 7.1 and I sent it RMA. They replaced for a new one.
But in my case i had unlocked bootloader, I flashed back 7.0 and it gave no results, still bootloop that's why I sent
Thanks for the info.
After leaving my phone with a clamp on a power button throughout the night (so the red light would flash continuously), I got it booting into "VolumeUp + Power" mode and this time I have successfully flashed the same TOT file via LGUp software. It was still bootlooping after flashing. Now I was able to enter into bootloader and recovery and this time sideloading the same previous file actually works. However it still bootloops.
Anyway, I tried to RMA it and after giving my IMEI to the Google rep, they said that they could not find it in their system after checking US and UK store records. Also tried calling LG warranty, but they do not know of my IMEI either. I got this phone from Swappa, so I left wondering where did the original owner of this phone got it from. He claimed that he got it as a present...

out of curiosity, have you ever tried to flash custom recovery through the bootloader ? If you can, you might also wanna try to make a EFS backup, wipe all partition, then flash custom rom or near-stock rom like this one, just for the sake of testing.

I wanted to flash custom recovery but was unable to do so, because device is still OEM locked. And I am unable to unlock it, because I did not do the confirmation in the Developer Options before device started to bootloop. Is there a way to flash custom recovery without this step in Developer Options?

For now, no way that I can think of. You could try to oem unlock it until it work, just cross your finger I guess?
I have some progress here. Since I was able to sideload various OTA images, I started doing that one by one and seeing if some of them would not bootloop. And after flashing 7.0.0 (NRD91N) from here (https://developers.google.com/android/ota) phone booted successfully and now is working. Will report if I get any problems.
