Hi, I've been having an issue where my phone just shows "searching" and doesn't pick up the T-Mobile network. I contacted Samsung and they've instructed me to send it back for a replacement.
The phone is rooted and I want to get it as close to stock as possible. What steps should I take to get it back to stock and remove root?
Thank You
Flash it with the stock rom, unroot.
If you just look at the roms section, its a stickied link.

Hey,
My phone is faulty, and I need to return it under warranty. I had unlocked the bootloader and installed custom roms, so I just want to check that I've managed to undo all that, and that at the factory they won't be able to tell that I had it rooted.
The main-version is 3.14.980.27, which I couldn't find an RUU to work with, so I downloaded the Stock Nandroid Backup, flashed the boot.img it contained, restored the stock nandroid backup, flashed the stock recovery, relocked my bootloader and deleted eveything from the internal sd card. Having done all this am I ok to send it back for warranty?
The fault is nothing to do with rooting it, but just a little worried that if they find any evidence I rooted it, then they will refuse to fix it and I'll be out $600.
Thanks in advance for all advice.

There's plenty of threads about going back to stock
You are as stock as you can be ..... they can always tell by the relocked bootloader that its been unlocked ..... so its sending it in and hope for the best.
This is somewhat related. I need to send my phone under warranty due to the dreadful green tint camera problem that arises when some people update to jelly bean, what are the chances of them repairing my phone even though I'm rooted and have a custom ROM? Surely they must know this is not a problem caused by rooting or flashing since it occurs on the stock ROMs as well, right?
Hi,
Would like to get my SGS6-Edge back to stock (I don't care about losing root), Any recommendation which stock rom to install? any link?
Thanks!
Reverting to stock for replacment (on "developer edition")? Revert CID/need for PIT?
Hey all,
I gotta send N4 to verizon for replacement (no 4G anymore) and I am trying to get back to as close to stock as possible. My big questions before I go about the final Odin restore flash are:
1. Will the fact that I changed it to developer edition (not developer options) by changing the CID matter at all? Do I need to undo my developer edition tweak as well? Worried about bricking by flashing the full stock images on a "developer edition".
2. Do I need to use a PIT during flashing, to really get it all fully stock?
3. With regards to TWRP, will flashing a stock image revert back to stock android recovery as well? Do I need to mess with TWRP before flashing via Odin?
4. Is it hopeless to try and remove the "custom" pad lock on boot? Is there any way to achieve that?
5. Is it better to use the "Stock" images from the community or should I use those from SamMobile?
Currently on a nandroid restore of my unrooted, fresh install of 6.0.1. Baseband ver CPF3, build CPD1 (using bootlader from hsbadr SafeUpgrade to MM).
Why do you need to send it to Verizon and to get fixed. Have you tried flashing back to a stock ROM and checking for 4g.
I lost my 4g a while back it turned out to be my sim tray and was a 5 dollar part and was 10 minutes to mix.

never heard of a fried phone where 4G only does not work. Are you getting any signal? Try going back to a mostly stock Rom.
Plus if you ever rooted, you tripped knox and Efuse. Not likely that the would just overlook that

Yeah, didnt make sense to me either. Odin'd back to CPD1 and signaling was fine again. As soon as I throw a ROM at it (any 7.0 AOKP and tried Jasmine which is 6.0), the radios get drunk. Seems like a common issue for some. Oddly enough Emotion build 109 worked flawlessly on 4G, once I updated to 328 I've been unable to get 4G back, where texts work). Yeah, Knox 0x1 tripped, I was thinking it was hardware so was toying with taking the gamble that they wouldn't check on such an old phone.

how close did they look ? triangle away is cosmetic and wont withstand a logcat but might fool dip**** behind the verizon counter
Please see attachment for error message.
Does anyone know how I can update to 4.2.2 (stock version) without getting this message?
You need to have the stock recovery installed as well as not having any root from memory.
I tried to sell the phone but it was knocked back for being rooted. What's the best way to unroot? Is it easy to get the phone back to factory condition?

Not possible. You can flash an ruu if you can find it. Or a stock based rom.
But relocking the bootloader will display tampered or relocked or something similar.
Its not possible to rewrite this flag to original state without having s-off.
The trace of the phone being or have been modified is permanent.
I have on my htc one x custom rom and cwm, can someone post a link to fastory 4.2.2. with sence 5.0, and hot to get it back to original state?
I would appreciate it. thank you cheeres...
