Being that p5210 is x86-ish
is it possible to run some sort of frankenstien version of android kitchen on it ?
I mean the things that weren't possible a little while ago are more possible now if not already
actual and taken for granted.
kitkat on tab 3 7.0 for example
a few months ago it was all like 'STUPID BLEEPING SAMSUNG BLEEP !!!'
and yesterday ii turned into 'oooh a piece of candy !'
so if it's doable then somebody anybody please do.
i've already murdered my my laptop with glee and don't want to have to dig up
a new one.
thanks for you time.
no taker's ?
think of all the incidental stuff along the way that could get figured out and make android better...

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini GT-I9195. It is not so easy to explain but I will try:
I experience that when I do scroll most pages up and down at the end of the scroll it does not end smoothly but in jerks.
Is the problem related to firmware ver or does it have to do with something else?
I am waiting for Android 4.3 to be out for this model hoping to see if this issue disappear.
Obviously, it is not such a niche felling.
Please let me know what to do.
Thank you
Is the issu also there if you've a custom rom installed?

I have never installed a custom rom and do not know how to do so. I do not have much experience with Android though I wish to learn and be able to manage it as I do on Windows OS.
Please let me kindly know what needs to be done to troubleshoot, although I noticed that this symptom I noticed also on a Galaxy S4.
I am really tempted to sell this device as I consider it not being worth the money I spent but I do not know if on other devices, like HTC One (which I might be interested) this behavior occurs.
As an example another user, on this forum, confirmed me that the phone signal is quite weak when compared to other phones, still with same carrier: This should not happen when you spend €400! Instead, Samsung covers its **** saying "I cannot compare brand names and even this model with other models", rather than just saying: we screwed up with this phone!!!
Please let me know.

Hii there y'all! I've been lurking here for quite a while now and suddenly decided to become an active member of the community.
Partially because i've always been able to find what i'm looking for and to solve any issues i had with the info on xda here.
(awesome site btw)
Now though i've got myself a Galaxy tab 3 7.0 and was shocked to see it came with 4.1 so i rushed to xda thinking "Yeah right, 4.1.... I gots to get me some kitkat!" and.....
Well, lets just say i was less than overwhelmed.
Appearantly 4.4 is "coming soon" or something and 4.3 is conspicuously not spoken of. Sooo..... i Started looking for a rom that would at least allow me to do app2sd and did some flashes. Crashrom was aptly named i found and the LT02wifi rom scared the heebeegeebees out of me (turned out nothing more than a no boot animation bug).
Basically i came to find there is NO 4.2.2 ROM for this tab that doesn't have issues. I decided to choose the one with the least remaining issues and slapped Stockrom series v7.1 on there last night. Must say it went like a dream and the tab is noticably quicker. I've not yet installed any apps i want to app2sd so i haven't tested the purpose for which i started this endevour but i do have some oddities which i want to ask about.
One is that i get SM-T210R model number in device info. Second is that the status in device info states the batterystatus "not charging" while i do have it on the USB cable. I can confirm it charges as it went from 42 to 43% just now.
I have the much discussed bluetooth keyboard problem, in a sense. When i freshly coupled the device to the tab i could use it fine. Once that idle timer put the keyboard "to sleep" however it doesn't come back. It says it is connected but it isn't.
The last oddity is that the android version states 4.2.2 while the release notes state they went back to the 4.1.2 version.
Is there anything i can do to help solving that keyboard issue or is there already a fix?
Why is my SM-T210 suddenly thinking it has infrared (or did your h4xx0rc0d3z actually generate ir hardware somehow? ) and saying its an SM-210R?
Why is my battery "not charging" while it in fact is?
and who's wrong, my tab or the release notes, about 4.2.2?
If there is any way i can be of use, ask me, worst thing that can happen is i KILL EVERYONE ON THE PLANET!! HAR HAR har ha.....
(eeermm... ignore that last bit.. )

U had problem with my LT02wifi rom? What was the issue?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
So I used to root phones years and years ago. HAvent felt the need since.
I just got this the tab s 8.4. Lovely tablet, fast ,good build quality, etc. But I've been using nexus devices since the nexus S. Samsungs interface has me wanting to throw this tablet again the wall.
I just want a stock android experience on this otherwise wonderful tablet,
I looked a bit through the android development section and realized how lost I was. I just want to know the easjest way to get rid of this awful interface so I can run vanilla android.
Is that going to a require a root and rom flash? And there programs out now that do it for you so your back end involvement is mimimized?
Please point me in the right direction of what I need to do to have this wonderful tablet running stock android.
Any help is much appreciated. If someone really helps me out and walks me through the process I have no problem throwing them a few bucks on paypal. Just want this tablet to run the way I want it.
Thanks for your help. Feel free to text 561 808 9694 for quicker response as I may forgot to check this as often as I should.
Use "Google Now Launcher" from Play store
I have successfully used IronRom, which is rooted etc., and highly cusomable.
Also I have used Cyanogenmod 12.1, which is official with nightlies.
Search XDA forums, and you will find these and other gems.
Edit: I may have missed your point (stock android) but the ROM's mentioned gives you a new and better experience with the Tab s 8.4 ...
Hello there! After a fairly long (ten year i think) hiatus, i'm back here at XDA. Nosing around the internet i came across 'project treble', and as i'm really interested in the idea of installing stock android on the best hardware that i can get my hands on (which currently seems to be the Galaxy Note), this sounds at least like somewhere to start. Am I in the right place to begin with? The layout's changed around here a fair bit since last I was here :S Would be most grateful if anyone in the know could point me in the right direction to start figuring out if what i want is even possible.
hello i am new to all this but first off thanks for all the work you put in here ...you guys are f-ing nasty at what you do..I love it!!:good::good:
So i rooted my phone about a week ago. twrp recovery, magisk, played around flashing roms, been reading, doing research etc. After a week of about 8 hours a day of playing ( i am not working at this time):silly:.... i see i have not even scratched the surface of rooting, etc. Anyway, after researching here and online i have not found a custom rom for my device. I am looking for a lineageOS rom but would be happy with any one that is compatible with my phone. Am i missing something here? I see lots of other roms for other devices and none for mine.. I am Assuming my phone is not that popular and may be the reason? Idk if it is good to say this here on an android forum but i usually use iphones lol... BUT android is def more interesting to me . Now here i am addicted to rooting/androids, flashing, roms etc! So i got this phone sort of just for that and maybe not very popular as i said? Either way still could use a few more hours in the day to play lol. Soooooo my question, Any info for a custom rom that at i can use or anything other info to help as a newbie is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all the great work, time, and creative thought process you put into all this here, (and wherever else you put all this cool [email protected]# together for us):good:
