Help WITH SD CARD - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

So ive rooted, loaded jedi elite. (Lovely btw). Of course hes fixed the sd card block thingy. I still cant seem to get my downloads to go to my sd. Fir example...ttorrent has a directory setting to direct the path of the down load. Theres 2 selections. Ext sd and ext sd tagsoft somthin or other. Wich 1 do I direct it to?

I use mattiadj's int2extsd script to swap mounts on roms so that all downloads always go to my external and also all app/game data/obb files are on extsd. Might be something you wanna try out, here's the link to it.

Ill try that out...thanx. anyhow. Im running jedi and his rom includes the sd card fix. Its just they changed the name from sdext to sdext taghusoft.somthin or other. Its confusing cause my down loads go to diffrent places, and it doesnt organize anymore. Ive had the epic 4g touch, note, note2 and note3. The note3 is different I gues when it comes to that. Anyway, thanx dude.

MIUI SD Problem

Okay, so I researched this.problem and I seem to be having the exact opposite problem than what others are having. MIUI on the Sgh-T989 recognizes my SD card and downloads everything to it and I can't seem to get anything onto the internal SD card. Its like the internal SD card is non existant. Other apps like ES File Explorer and Titanium Backup can recognize it but no other apps. MC3 is downloading to SD when all the files are already in the internal. I unmounted it and then ran MC3 but it refuses to download to anything else.

Are you in the correct forums? I'm pretty sure we don't have a working MIUI ROM.

We do. I'll link it.

Sorry. I didn't know we had this. But there are people with this problem, just check the 20th post, by Jfiz DaWizz.

There's a sticky regarding cm7 mounting.. and since MIUI is based off of cm7 did you try that ?

How is it rediculous? Im just asking. I'm open to criticism.

[Root] App2SD change external to internal.

Not sure if this has been posted yet here but this is how you make you external become your internal and have everything save to it.

Just want to say I did not create this app I am only sharing it

I'm not sure If this slows down gaming and processing because some people are claiming it does. I have a 64gig sandisc micro sd ultra and I haven't noticed it yet.

Ok found one issue with this. When taking a picture the image won't save. When you click on gallery it just disappears, unless you took a burst shot. I don't know if this was just my device or what

Never mind I'm just dumb. Once you switch your hd you need to go to camera, settings, storage, click on it if it's greyed out, set storage to phone and it should work.

When I added my sd card, I went to storage and switched it to the SD card and all pics I take get saved to the SD card except Burst Shot images.
When I go to the gallery, I can see all pics in one place - whether its on the SD card or Internal storage. This is how its supposed to work.
Yea but I made it so my sdcard reads as my internal so anything that is saved even apps goes to my 64gb instead of 16gb internal. So things run a little different

I just used Titanium Backup to move the apps I wanted moved. I tried the Apps2SD app in the market but it wouldnt move some apps
This is not apps2sd app this actually makes your external storage your main storage.

Guys if you want to revert changes, do you just copy the folders and files back to the main card and not run the script any more at boot? (of course, just whatever fits in 16Gb that is)
Or will I have to flash a ROM again just to make sure things are not messed up?
i activated the script and just tried installing a game from google play.. it still went to my internal card, not the external card.
Didnt work for me either. I can open all aps. I was expecting then to crash since the sdcard was empty. Darn it I want this to work
Sent from the Mighty Galaxy Note 2!
You don't have to flash a Rom for this just follow the directions by going into the app you downloaded open the script and turn on su and boot and save to turn it on. To turn it off turn su and boot off and save. Each time power off your device completely to reset changes.

Works for me

Remember it should say your external is now your internal. So if it's going to the new internal that's good
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using xda premium
when i run it, it says: mounting X failed: no such file or directory
You're rooted correct?
If so make sure you download script manager, download the apps2sd script, open in script manager, turn on su and boot, save, power off device and turn it back on.

That is what I am doing. The internal is still 16Gb sadly.
I am running CleanRom with Perseus kernel btw
My apps switched when I changed it and I had to download patches when entering the app again. Also lost my sounds/have to change them. I'm running multi Window mod.
Not sure what's happening on your end. If you go to the link you can post on the topic or email the moderator, he's usually pretty helpful.

SGSII Kies Update: What's up with my app data/SD card?

I'm not sure what's the matter, but for some reason I can't move apps to my SD card and I can't seem to use my GBA emulator app to grab a GBA ROM on my SD card because it can't find the file.
This is regardless of the fact that I can use the file management app that came with the updated firmware and see the file there. The same ROM on my old OG EVO works fine with the same app so it isn't the app or ROM itself.
I believe I've seen complaints about similar storage problems from others on these forums. Does anyone know what's going on here/has knowledge of how to fix it? Thanks! This update is too awesome to be ruined by something like this

Sorry to say, but try the Epic Touch forum, because this is for the Epic 4G with the slide out keyboard.

That certainly helped me find the solution, I keep forgetting this is technically the E4GT. Thanks!

Is their a way to install to ext sd?

I am running cyanogen mod 10.1 and I tend to play alot of big games that requires typically >1gb and i have close to no room left in my internal storage and have like 10 gigs left on my external and I dont have a way to install them onto their. I've already tried all types of apps2sd apps and none have worked. Is their a way to put these games on my external sd?
Unfortunately no.

I have same issue, I'm about to try to move game data to external and create a simlink from gme folder to external. Maybe that could work. Dunno.

I just have used the first method. It does work. To make sure I redid it a few minutes ago. Works perfectly. Are you on TW, CM, or AOSP ?

I'd say to use this app: FolderMount.
Great app, frequent updates, and I've used it myself and can confirm it works. Not to mention that I believe the dev made it, among other reasons, to solve this issue with huge games.
I gonna look into this. And the changing the external to internal

Move app additional files to sd card?

Im running Goodness Noteworthy 1.06 with Perseus kernel on my Sprint Note 2. I've looked online and from what I understand there is no way to move apps to the sdcard after the jellybean update. I'm really just needing the additional files the apps download like the 1+gb that you have to download for Need For Speed or N.O.V.A. moved to my external 16gb micro sdcard so my internal memory isn't so low. Ive tried the app Folder Mount from the play store and it didn't seem to work. Has anyone found a way to get the files to the sdcard and the game still be able to read them? Thanks!

folder mount worked perfectly for me. i had about 12gb worth of game data from gameloft and ea (incl nfs most wanted and realracing 3) moved to the sd card with this app and the games played perfectly. at the moment im having issues with my sdcard writing anymore and im hoping that doing this folder mount, it didnt mess my card up. the games have been working for a couple months now. i know this isnt much help but i thought i'd share my experience.

good luck man. here is the thread by the dev incase you havent read some faq's yet. it really did work well for me when i used it

I use My Drives to find the space hogging files. It's free.
FolderMount, DirectoryBind and so forth can give funny readings on the when you look at storage. You literarely have not the storage used and available before and after binding. Most of the file explorers will show the binded file in the original location. It's been moved, but what you're seeing is more a holding marker.
I figured out how to use Folder mount and its working good. I was just not mounting the data by clicking on the paperclip button lol. Thanks guys.
