[Q] Rom supports Wifi Tethering? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hello all,
I'm contemplating upgrading my Note II which is currently on 4.1.2 (rooted). I was going to just slap CM11 on it but, luckily I realized there seems to be a WiFi tethering issue first.
Where I live my phone is the only access I have to the internets.
However, I still want to upgrade. So tired of touchwiz at this point. Are there any roms where WiFi tethering works flawlessly? I'd like to upgrade to at least 4.3 also if that helps.

[Q] Wifi Tether Issues?

Hey guys! I'm new to the Galaxy Nexus and I'm concerned with the Wifi Tethering app. I don't know if it's related to the Galaxy Nexus itself, or if its my network here where I live but I'm just seeing if anyone else is having any issues? I'm currently running 4.1.1 STOCK rooted. What are you guys using as far as apps? I used to have a T-bolt with the same Wifi Tether app and it rarely ever just stopped working. It says I'm connected but it just doesn't load any pages or work at all. Is there any solutions to this? I've read that I'm supposed to use the Native app (portable hotspot) but it doesn't work since I'm not subscribed. I really actually like the stock rom and it's feel and I don't want to have to flash a custom ROM. I will, IF I have to but I prefer to stay stock and stable. Any help would be great!

WIFI Tether issues

Hey guys,
I am unable to use WIFI Tether on any custom rom other than Touch wiz based rom.
Got an S3 through Rogers(SGHI747M)
As instructed, I've clean installed all the roms out in Original developement section including LIquid smooth, Carbon, AOSP Tasker.
The only non touch wiz rom that seems to work right now is Liquid smooth RC7 4.1.2 version but that too with the help of an app on play store.
Where am i going wrong here? Ive tried going through google and xda local search and have found no concrete solution to this problem.
Currently still running RC7 4.1.2 Liquid Smooth.
The network ssid seems to show up but cant connect when encrypted. Sometimes with these custom roms, even the ssid wont show.
Any recommendation guys?
Ibelive on some of the new ROMS Cm 10.1 for example there were issues with wifi tether while useing WPA and LTE tethering. I though some of those issues had been worked out. I may be wrong on that though. Does it work with open security?

Open security don't work either. Some claim that wifi tether will not work on cm10.1 based roms with Rogers and others have quickly debunked that theory but without having a possible solution to getting tether to work in cm 10.1. I really don't know who to believe anymore.

4.3 Rom w/ Wifi Tmobile calling?

I love Infamous Rom. Im still on Verison 5, and it works flawlessly, The problem is, I really want to use this galaxy gear watch I got. But I need an unlocked phone for my AppRadio, and I need wifi calling because I dont get reception/texts/data in the office.
Does anyone know of a 4.3 rom that has wifi tmobile calling, to use until Infamous uses the 4.3 ROM? Thanks!

I don't believe there is a 4.3 ROM with Wifi calling yet.
A rom with Wifi calling has to be based on a T Mobile release. As of today T Mobile hasnt' released a 4.3 ROM for the S4.
It's expected very soon (Like next week I think...), and you'll see modified T Mobile roms very shortly after that. But as of today, you're out of luck.
There are plenty of 4.2 roms with Wifi calling working. I have no idea if they can be modded to work with the watch.
You could give this one a try

there will not be a stable 4.3 rom with wifi calling until the official update is rolled out, which is supposedly the 18th of this month
The leak posted above has what u want. I would reccomend to wait ~5 more days for the official rom though. Soon..
can't wait
so looking forward to 4.3 coming to tmobile so i can get wifi calling again

[Q] Unlocked T999 t-mobile s3 on 4.1.2 jb tethering problem

Hello all, I just recently purchased a Unlocked T-mobile galaxy s3 that im currently using on straight talk. I have it rooted on the 4.1.2 jb version and cant find anything to help me get tethering working whatsoever. Any insight on what I can do to resolve this would be very much appreciated as im about to tear my hair out! Thanks
Try the tether apps from play store. If they can't help then see if your straighttalk plan prohibits you from tethering. As a last resort, you can switch to a AOSP Rom. All of these roms do have built in Tether that works the first time.
I don't do tether and don't use stock Rom, so can't help that well.
some time ago, i used an app called easytether. check it out.
easy tether and wifi tether
I've tried both easy tether and wifi tether, both to no avail, I can connect my computer to both but I don't receive data. Don't have this problem with my old galaxy s blaze. Even tried pdanet, same issue, does upload but no download for any of these. IM completely stumped at this point.

have you tried using a different computer, just to eliminate it being a windows\mac issue?

I have tried a different computer, same thing.

Native Bluetooth tethering working

Every device I get, needs to be used at its fullest capabilities. With the problems of T-Mo removing options like tethering and/or bluetooth tethering completely from our devices, pisses me off.
Also, I upgraded to 4.4.2 (on my Note3) but was unaware by doing so, I would lose functionality that I wanted.
I have tried most of the roms here but none have the native bluetooth tethering. Although there are alternatives to tethering to your watch, most options are too complicated or too my steps just to activate.
So, for those that want FULL functionality on their Phone and Watch and are tired of searching which rom works, try this rom out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470441 International Note 3
Works great, no problems at all and solves my problem
I am running: 4.4.2
Baseband- NB4
Kernel- CivZ-Snapkat
Also, I am a T-Mo customer, no problems with signals, wifi, etc.
Hope it helps someone out.
