I want to move myphone Apps. To. Sdcard. Does. IT work when rooting 4.3.? And. What when i install 4.4. Aftetwords, Does. Root. And moving to sd still work? Thx

Using this guide I will be able to root my phone, after rooting where will the apps be installed by default? will I be able to save my phone memory?
If the official gingerbread for desire arrives in the future, will I be able to update it? what will be the procedure then ? the update over the custom ROM will be possible or not or I'll have to revert back to the default ROM?
I'm a very newbie in all this rooting stuff. Please help me in getting these confusions clear. any other suggestions that would help me in rooting my phone are also welcome
Yes that thread is good to go.. and the installation of app is depend on the custom rom you pick.. there are many option available.. which are A2SD, D2SD, D2EXT,
Where A2SD will move only the app to SD card
D2SD will move app and its data to SD card
And D2EXT need a EXT partition on your SD and that will be used for apps and data and cache too..
You can anytime revert back to the orignal ROM and do the OTA updates.
like you can root.. you can unroot too.
But beofre doing anything please create a goldcard.. HERE... this will help you getting back to orignal or incase any disaster happen..
In simple words.. use Unrevoked 3 to root your device.. which will give you custom recovery.. and from recovery you can flash any custom rom.

I can't manage to find a concrete answer.
If my Galaxy Note 2 was bought unlocked, I have all my contacts on it, many application I've downloaded and some pictures.. I want to root.. Do I have to back up everything and restore or will the root process leave the device's internal and external data as it is?
Also, what is the best/safest/easiest way to root? I don't want a new ROM at the moment... I just want to try moving my apps data to the external microsd card.

Sure mate, for root only flash this with Odin http://download.chainfire.eu/264/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-t03g-gtn7100.zip and for root and CWM flash this with Odin https://hotfile.com/dl/176073261/b6acfe6/cwm6-root-n7100-121015.rar.html. Unzip it once and put the tar file in PDA.

What about moving data of big games to the external microsd card? I found many discussions about the problems with the accepted methods..
Anyone managed to do it? use the samsung firmware when application data is in the microsd card?
Since updating to Kit Kat, I can't delete any files on my SD card. Is there a fix for this? I am rooted and have tried to delete using Samsung My Files, Root Explorer and ES Explorer to no avail.
How do you update from 4.3? Ota? Stockrom via Odin? Or Custom Rom as a zip file flashing?

use SDFix, from Play Store - should re-establish SDCard writing permissions

If you use OTA, you will not lose your data. Odin will wipe your data. Since you already on 4.3 which means your bootloader is locked, you can't use the flash method.
Hmm not rooted and have KK updated yet can delete fine from sd card
I have a M919V wind model running stock 4.4.2 is it safe to downgrade to 4.3 so I can get the full use out of my SD Card?
You will not be able to downgrade.
It will softbrick and you would need to flash back to that version to fix it.
If you are rooted you can re-renable sd card access.
There is even an app in the play store that can do it for you if you are rooted.

Yes I can re-root I had it rooted but I put it back to stock to sell it and go back to my Grand Duos just because of the issue with SD Card access.
I will take a look on Google Play for this info.
I would rather do it myself, do you have a link to any pages that can help me?

You can either root it and use a custom recovery to flash a custom 4.3 Rom, or use nextapp as card fix from the play store if you prefer to stay on stock 4.4.2. To get back permission to write on the external card you will have to have root access.

Hello! So I rooted my s4 mini GT-I9195 and then installed 5.0 lollipop and everything was fine. Untill i accidentaly deleted all the files from my sd card and the rood got messed up. I also lost the recovery. So now i don't know what to do but when I try to reroot everything fails. Root checker sais Root access is not properly installed on this device. I also can see SuperU in the apps. Please help!

What ROM are you using/Where did you get the lollipop and how did you install it? How did you root your device? Do you have a custom recovery installed? (you said you lost your recovery so I am not sure ). We need more info.
