i found a bug:
when you in portrait and open the Menu (who see all App´s) and then you move the phone to landscape then all Apps where in the left corner
but when you open the menu after you go to landscape all was fine.
fc occurred with earth app...
and swype is also not there..
should i put the swype.apk in system/app folder?

A different theme can be released as CWM flash < 2 Mb.
Which version of sense ui does this rom uses? Sense 3.0 and will the ui be upgraded with upcoming versions of sense!

You can mix and match a similar UI on any DeOdexed + Rooted SGS ROM for free.
Google : UOT kitchen
... And if you manage to create a framework mod, pleeease DO NOT announce it as bug-free / no-problem!

Hi,
This problem comes with launcher pro and it's so annoying.
Deactivate the landscape mode in menu>preferences and it will work normally.

Unfortunately the Wifi is weak as in all JVS based roms.
it takes a long time to find a router which is situated just beside it and it's so annoying.
I've uninstalled the ROM and went back to my previous JVR rom.
Apart from that, the rom works perfectly and there's no lag or FC at all.
i'll keep an eye on it, if some WiFi solution come, i'll flash it again
The wifi works well for me!!
With this rom i haven't problem!

If u want to update v1.1 without downloading the whole ROM do the following before flashing the ROM:
-open the ROM using 7zip or winrar (don't extract the ROM)
-download this file and drag the META-INF insdide it and drop it in the ROM using winrar to overwrite the META-INF
-now flash the ROM..

1. If coming from version after jvu (xxjw4/xwjw5/6/7/8):
install directly, if u get problems, do wipe data/factory reset and install again.
2. If before jvu:
-Install 2.3.6 jvu stock using odin
-Root using cf-root for jvu
-do a full wipe, then flash the ROM
3. If coming from ICS
-do same steps like above (if before jvu)
Note: When u make clean install, during the setup wizard DO NOT SETUP THE WIFI, otherwise there will be an fc.

You should really read the stickies in the general section.
If you don't know how to instal stock and then a custom rom, you should start on your documentation.

hey buddy. there's no change in phone and contacts ui after flashing. i opened the zip files and there are no phone and contacts apks.

buddy please dont mind .. i wantedly removed that apps from the zip files due to some bugs in ui and some jittery layouts.. im presently testing the zip files .. ill upload the all new improved phone ,contacts and messages apps in a flashable zip files.... mean while u guys inform me how the ui are you satisfied?

i see. i think you did good on this based on the screen shots you posted but i didn't get all of those as phone and contacts apks were not there as you mentioned you removed them.

your firmware should be rooted and you haveto flash the zip files one by one & you experience the new ui ..

you did? where are the phone and contacts apk? it's not in the zip files you said you had updated, it's still the same as the first one. you need to include the phone and contacts apk for this to work. maybe you should consider reuploading the zip file you updated and post new screen shots.

it worked on odex, i tried it. i don't know about deodex. make sure to have nandroid back up if anything goes wrong so you can revert back.

yes dear after upgrading dialouge box gets closed you will feel the new UI... it is not strucking.. it is jus optimising the ne UI ... dont worry jus wait for a few 2 or 3 mins..

flash your nandroid back up if you have. reflash the zip files that manikar just updated but this time do not do wipe cache partition and dalvik cache. be sure to have always a nandroid back up 'cause it's very important to have one.
this perfectly works on grand duos 4.2.2 odex.

dude. sorry to tell you but your update was unstable, after i flashed the updated zip file it got stuck on "android os upgrading" and i figured out why, it is because of the system ui apk together with its odex so i deleted both files and reflashed again, but this time i cannot unlock the screen because of the pattern code which i don't know now what i did is that i deleted the secsettings.apk and odex files. i also deleted some apks and odexes file cause i already made changes to same file before and i don't want to change it again thanks to your previous update that some of it worked great. by the way, when you unzip the zip file and open it you should see the "data" folder which contain an app "samsung groupcast.apk" i transfered it to "system/app" folder in which other apks are located. so it should look like this:

Hello mates, I want to share my rom.
It's simply the Rain_Bow MIUI-V7 rom modified to my taste.

BASED ON: MIUI-V7 build 6.2.27 (Rain_Bow) ---> Based on Touchwiz Rom.
Some mod from: [4] spinacz100 rom
In particular:
- A lot of MIUI themed icons for PlayStore apps.
- Multilanguage at boot (not fully functional, e.g. italian is not selectable)
- Gapps included
- Xperia Keyboard
If you want the standard Rain_Bow rom (MIUI touchwiz) or the Shiro rom (MIUI GPE based), go to [3] flatzki thread and use his instructions for GAPPS and so on (thanks).

~ TIPS ~
DISABLE SMS DELIVERY STATUS: go to message app, long press menù/recents, click on "Delivery Status" toggle to disable it. (otherwise operator will charge you 2 SMS at every sms you send)
Switch from multitasking with icons to multitasking with previews: do a pinch-to-zoom gesture in multitasking view (menu button).
To grant root permission: open the app that need root permission, will say you have not root access. Now go to "Security" App (MIUI) -> Permissions -> Root Access, and grant root to that app. Now close the app with recents view (swipe up the app) and start it again.
If you restore apps with titanium backup, sometimes MIUI automatically disable permission for some feature (e.g. whatsapp can't see contacts). You have to set permissions from: "Security" App -> Permissions -> Permissions.
Automatically MIUI disable auto-startup for installed apps. Go to "Security" App -> Permissions -> Autostart to grant start at boot for an app.
Automatically MIUI disable the ability to downloads file > 1MB with Mobile Data. To set this gap or disable this feature go to: "Downloads" App -> touch the 3 dot menu -> settings -> Download size limit. (NB: at first boot the "Downloads" App is located in "Tools" folder)
Disable ZRAM or decrease it for better performance and battery life: KernelAdiutor -> VirtualMemory -> ZRAM DiskSize. My advice: 0MB to 350MB, not more. Apply on boot, and enable KernelAdiutor to start at boot with Security App.
Decrease ZRAM swappiness (if you use ZRAM) for better performance and battery life: KernelAdiutor -> VirtualMemory -> Swappiness. My Advice: 1 to 10, not more. (0 will disable ZRAM I think). Apply on boot, and enable KernelAdiutor to start at boot with Security App.
~ MIUI BUGS~
On reboot the date is wrong, but if you are connected to internet it will auto update instantly at boot to the correct date.
[ FIXED BY @ra3 - use this zip to fix in roms from v1 to v4]
Calling with MTP active (PC usb connection) will freeze the phone.
Not all localization are available, for this I included MoreLocale2.apk in the rom. Start this app to select your language (you need to allow root for this app)
Multitasking with preview is buggy: just switch to multitasking with icons (do a pinch out in multitasking view the first time you use it)

~ FAQ~
[Q] Why android 4.4?
[A] MIUI PatchRom is not update to lollipop yet, so MIUI can't be ported to lollipop roms.
[Q] Why should I use a rom based on old android 4.4?
[A] Because this rom is fast, have a lot of free ram also disabling ZRAM, have great battery life, I hope it's stable, have the official touchwiz camera (simply the best camera for S4) and doesn't have that orrible and shocking recents button lag.
As far as I know, Rain_Bow's MIUI is the ONLY rom with touchiwz camera and without recents lag.

Download ROM.
[Optional: flash GNG8 bootloader and modem with Odin]
Wipe data/cache/dalvik-cache in your recovery.

with active Xposed , the rainbow , the themes are turned off after 20 minutes and returns to the theme stock

After I deleted some system apps I land in a boot loop. What system apps are safe to remove?

I'll try tomorrow and I'll report, but with old MIUI version I have never seen similar problems (without xposed).

I use Titanium Backup to freeze apps. For now I freezed only: App Store, File explorer (that have an always on service that scan your microSD).
Would like to found in future the removable apps and make a debloated rom (with aroma to install some third part apps more efficents, like quickpic for images/video and Solid Explorer for files).
All helps are appreciated.
