We are assuming that you are S-Off and SuperCID recommended. Right? If not, read carefully and ask lots of questions!
How do I install the SkyDragon Rom?
Download the latest SkyDragon Rom zip from the download section
Make sure to check that the MD5 checksum matches with the one posted on the download page
Place the zip file on your internal (virtual) SD card
Reboot your phone into recovery TWRP or CWM depending on what is recommended in OP with the specific Rom version
Make a backup of your current Rom
Select to install SkyDragon Rom in recovery and follow the instructions in Aroma installer always selecting full wipe to start the installation
Note: I always prefer to manually wipe cache, Dalvik cache, and data in recovery before starting the Rom installation. Trust me, this method does help prevent many issues.
How do I get into recovery?
Hold down power button and volume down at the same time.
Can I install themes and make custom mods?
We do not recommend themes and mods that are not included in the Rom or are not in the SD Hub. If you have any questions follow the main SkyDragon thread, read a few pages, and feel free to ask questions. Someone will be willing to help you. We have the best and friendliest Themers on board!
Can I install a custom kernel?
Yamil (Dragonesdenano) releases a specific Rom version to run optimally with the stock kernel
We now also have custom kernels! Created by acclaimed SkyDragon Dev HolyAngel. SD custom kernels may be included in Aroma at the time of release. Follow this thread for news and updates.
Does SkyDragon Rom include radio firmware, Hboot, recovery, etc.?
Never!
Will installing SkyDragon erase my SD card/internal memory?
No personal data stored on your internal memory will be affected by installing SkyDragon Roms. Photos, music and other files stored on your SD card will remain untouched. The most likely way to erase your internal storage is by flashing stock firmware updates (because they contain stock recovery), flashing incompatible kernels, and incompatible custom recoveries. (always make a backup)
Should I flash radio firmware?
If firmware flashing is required, we will advise so in the OP with the new ROM release.
With the first Lollipop Rom 5.0 you must flash the Dev firmware we have posted.
In future Rom releases, you may stick with your region’s firmware as long as that firmware is from the current released base, such as 5.0.1, 5.0.2, etc.
Firmware flashing is not required for every Rom update. Most of the time it is best to remain on your phone’s native firmware for best signal reception, battery life, and overall performance.
Since we try to bring you the latest HTC updates in a custom Rom, we use HTC Rom variants that are released for specific regions that have firmware that may not perform very well for you. So we advise against flashing the latest firmware “just because it is new”.
If you choose to flash firmware make sure it is customized, i.e.; the stock recovery and boot image is removed to prevent the possibility of erasing your personal data. Ask about it in our thread.
I am S-On, can I install SkyDragon? ***
As long as you have the current base firmware Yes you can! Please feel free to ask questions in our thread.
***If you are on KitKat Rom firmware you cannot flash 5.0 Lollipop Rom if you are S-On.
You will have to wait for your native region OTA to arrive from HTC before flashing any custom Lollipop Rom.
You can always unlock your M8 using FireWater (free), if that doesn’t work, use SunShine (for a fee)

Overall Great ROM!
Smooth, snappy, and compete! Really like this one, but there is one little nuisance that I am running into. I downloaded a notification tone off of Zedge. After setting tone to notifications, text messages do not reflect new ringtone, but gmail notifications do
I set it, saved it, applied it.....etc. It weird but it wont "take" for text messages...it just uses default that was set with Rom after flashing.
Any ideas?

Settings > personalize > Notification sound. I see it in the list, has bubble with green dot (selected), hit apply, shows ringtone name under Notification sound.
Email notification works....text doesnt. I may reflash but never ran across something like not being able to set a tone ever....weird

Go to the htc messaging app and go to settings. It uses a different tone than default unless you change it manually.

2 Relock your bootloader using the commend 'fastboot oem lock'.

5 On first time running the commend you will see FAILED, don't panic and just run the commend again.
6 Reunlock your bootloader via HTCDev.

seems interesting... one thing which i would want is a seperate zip file flashable thru aroma installer and get to choose what all htc bloatware one wants to install on his device.. for instance i really like the htc calandar and friends widget...

Its a sense rom without bloatware and most of the widgets which just bog down the phone...the clock ,music and weather widgets are there!!

Motion Gestures
To enable Motion Gestures:
The included kernel(as of RC6.0+) supports HTC's EasyAccess Motion Gestures.
You just need to enable Xposed and the included Sense 6 Toolbox Module.
Then enable the Wake Gestures toggle in the Toolbox, assign your actions and reboot.
The HTC Logo is used in place of volume rocker, for the camera gestures.

No, I do not have any mirrors currently for it and do not want any made.
I apologize if it's going slow for some.
Don't know why some have issues while most don't.
This does come up every time I make a new thread using the DevDB though.
Seems there is always at least one person having issues downloading, while I can always download a 1GB+ file in under 3 to 5 minutes from here.
I suggest trying another browser, or stop and restart the download until you see a better transfer speed.
In the meantime, I'll consider adding a link on my AFH account as well.

In twrp2.7.0.1 what do you suggest for a wipe before flashing ?? Thank you

Chrome: Hovers around 3-4 hrs
IE Explorer: 15 minutes initially but now its recalculating at 1 hr 24 min
AFH is a hit or miss too depending on which mirror I download at. The fastest I can download a 1gb file would typically take 24-25 min if I use texas server...=(

Not to mention Santod's is also built using the m8 system dump. NOT the ROM leak that hawk and the rest have been using. Just look at the SDK. Santod's is a higher version. If anyone STILL has doubts. Use a til diff to diff them and you will see just how different Santod's is from hawks.

It would take me longer to upload it to AFH, plus the time it would take you to download it from there.
Only other suggestion,...try Chrome.

Everything is working perfect. All I had to to for T-Mobile free tethering was to edit the APN settings and my tethering is no longer being monitored. Thanks again

Any way you can explain how you changed the apn settings? and what settings are you using? they are locked with the Rom

during installation of rom I skipped the carrier settings part so it basically installed with ought any apn settings . Once you finish install you can then go ahead and set the one you wish. If you choose a carrier during install it will lock it as default.

Ok I understand now, I' going to reflash with no carrier but can you post what APN setting you are using for tethering unlimited? t mobile

When you say you "skipped" the carriers settings do you mean you chose "Other"? it wouldn't let me not select anything. I tried to selecting other, but my APN settings are locked. I even tried reflashing, but it still made me choose, and I cannot edit the setting.

Go to settings/about/software info /more/ and tick 7 times on build number.
no you have enabled the Developer settings in settings.
browse there to Animations and set them to 0,5 or disable them.
In Nova Launcher settings got to "look and feel" and set
the animation and scroll speed to "faster then light"
