If it happens with every rom i think it's not the software i mean ROM issue but the problem with digitalizer

Phone does not switch on.

Hi. I recently used the camera app to take some pictures. After that, I locked my phone. When I tried to unlock it, the screen remains black. I decided remove and put back the battery. After I did that, the phone still does not turn on. I connected the phone to the charger, the LED does not light up. Is my phone bricked? I did not flash/install anything, I was just using the camera app. I hope anyone could reply as soon as possible. Thanks.

Take out the battery and wait at least three hours until you put it in again. Now try again.
If it's still not working, try to get into FASTBOOT (start ith with pressed back and power button) or HBOOT (start with pressed volume down and power button).
Hi. Thanks for your quick reply. I tried to go both into fastboot or recovery but nothing appeared on the screen. What can I do now?

So just to clarify - you can't do anything? No LED when charging? No bootloader or fastboot....
Tell us about your phone, rom - bootloader info (what you can remember) s -on or off?

camera didn't cause this, same thing happened to me when the phone was just idling. I have also seen cases with problems exactly like this before - you're not the only one. HTC will repair this for you.

it does nothing because it died for one reason or another, like I said before it happened to me and a few others too.

who cares, what are you House? not every mystery can be solved - for one reason or another it died, and considering I've seen a few cases of this I'm guessing it's a factory problem with a small percentage of Desires... perhaps a mainboard problem

I sent my first phone for repair 3 times, after the third I got a new one, then a month later it broke again. Works fine now though.. these things happen.

one x doesn't turn on, charge, or go into recovery.

as title says. last night I was simply watching a movie when i noticed the handset was very very hot, which is weird as it wasn't doing anything too stressing, i figured id let it cooldown abit, not two seconds after the video stopped, the audio went all messed up. I turned it off manually, and it restarted all normally. it happened again, although it wasn't particularly hot, however this time I did not manually restart it, I figured id wait to see if it sorts itself out. Instead it turned off. And it refuses to power on, charge or even go into boot. No idea, what's wrong.
Running on Leedroid OneXtreme 6.4.

Got that twice with ma HOX...trust me...just plug on wall charger and leave it for a while (30mins or so) and when LED starts to flash, try to boot your device again.
i will try
This is weird but yeah I left in charge for about 12± hours, started flashing about a few mins ago and it's working perfectly. Pretty sure my phone is possessed. So yeah leave it in charge until it flashes.
Btw I'm not doing much, and it's already getting a bit warm, anything I can do to make my phone handle more? Is there a way to under clock this?

I had the same problem, no warranty because I unlocked it. Got it back, and found this topic.
Note: It can happen you need to try different pc/notebooks before it charges. I had to switch to 3 different pc s.

Weird behavior of my phone.

I tried flashing different ROMs .. wiped everything .. but still .. this problem persists ..
My phone sometimes switches off automatically without any notification or anything and it won't turn on until I connect it to a usb or my charger .. it won't be a low battery problem as ;
1 : if battery is low .. it won't show wrong battery stats even if I flash a new ROM ..
2 : It will show a shutting down notification when all the juice is flushed out of the battery ..
It happens anyhow and anytime .. I can't judge it by any application bug or anything of that sort...
I experienced it on using whatsapp, facebook, xda, browsers .. so basically it has nothing to so with the applications I use ..
The only possibility would be that my battery itself has its last breaths on count... Isn't it? Or do you have any other theory? .. please help me out folks.. I am worried!
Problem : Phone shuts down like the way the screen turns off while we lock it, anytime anywhere..
And please don't say that it would be happening because of the underclocking .. phone may go to deep sleep .. but it won't shut down in such cases ..
The moment I connect a charging cord .. the phone shows the HTC quietly brilliant sign and starts up .. so basically I can't carry my charger or a usb cord everywhere ..:banghead:

[Q] R800i, suddenly no display, only vibrate when startup

I have a R800i which i bought from my brother. It have not been flashed before, but one morning i was all black. Only thing that happens when i try to turn it on, is that it vibrate shortly. I can enter "flash mode".
When i connect it to charging, nothing happens, and now i cant turn it on/no vibrate when trying to power it on.
I have now tried to flash it to .63 no succes. then tried with .79, and still no succes.
Could it be a problem with the battery?
Any help is appriciated
Nope, it's ALS problem, you will have to replace it, if you flash a JB kernel will work without any problem, because is disabled in kernel. Had the same issue.

Well no cuz it could be the flex cable and/or the screen or even a software problem. If you suggest a solution you should mention that "it could be" and "Nope, it's ALS problem" as that states you are 100% sure when you can't be.

lol rofl lmao on this thread. you can test your borked xplay if its has hardware problem ei: ALS or ribbon cable by powering it on, leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes and calling it if rings then you know you have hardware problem with the exception of mother board. or try the wall charger method first remove the battery, second plug the unit to the wall charger(unit without the battery installed), third put the battery in and wait for the led of the power button to turn on, fourth hold the power button and remove the battery, fifth you will notice that the led still is lit even without the battery and then release the power button and press it again if it boots up then you have a faulty ALS if its not it either the ribbon or software issue.
off topic: I really hated this units of sony ericsson xperia with HW keyboards my DZ manages to out live them all. to my frustration I sent my xplay and pro to a firey grave.

[Q] Is my HTC One X dead??

Hi guys,
I have HTC One X and I switched from stock rom to cyanogenmod few months ago. From time to time I got info about updating to latest stable build but I didnt install it since the one I had worked perfectly. Few days ago I updated it to latest stable build manually and it worked OK, but it shut down at one point when I was using Google Maps and I had to start it manually again. It started normally but had problem connecting to network for about minute or two. After that it worked fine.
Today I wanted to record my sisters school project and I put it on a table and started recording. After 20 minutes or so I noticed that phone is turned off again (no one was near it). Since then I am unable to charge it, power it, it seems to be complity dead. When I plug in the charger no light indicartor is present.
I am not sure that problem is OS related. It seems to be hardware related isssue.
Is this known problem? And how to fix it??
