- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using latest ClockworkMod recovery
- Flash Gapps

-OTA UPDATES-
- You will get a notification on your phone when a new version of RR ROM is available. You can download the ROM on your phone through the OTA updater.
- For now, I have made the link to open in a browser as direct links for the ROM zip on file host might not work at times. I might change this to direct downloading of zips in the future.
- Full ROM will be downloaded, not a delta zip.
- I haven't tested flashing the ROM using the automated scripts in the OTA updater. Use them at your own risk. I advice you to open recovery manually and flash the ROM manually. If you do decide to test the OTA updater scripts and it works, share with the community.
IMPORTANT: If you come from another ROM, have some issues or want a really clean installation then follow the 'Extended steps to install the ROM' featured on the General FAQ

- Have CM-11-20140506-NIGHTLY-odin working on my Xperia ZL (C6503)
- Did Full wipe and factory reset
- Flashed ROM (rr-Resurrection_Remix_KK_v5.1.0-20140505-odin) using ClockworkMod recovery
- Flashed Gapps (SensonicUltralimGapps V-1)
- Rebooted.
At the setup screen error msg : "Unfortunately, the process com. android.systemui has stopped".
Also I notice a red border around the screen appears for a fraction of a second. when using the touch screen.
Did reboot again, same problem.
Rebooted and cleared Dalvin Cache, same problem
ok I ignored the error msg, en completed te setup, the error keeps coming back so it takes a lot of time to complete.
When setup is done the error message is gone.
Most of the time when pressing a screen option a red border around the screen appears for a fraction of a second.
Is this normal or an error (or again the process com. android.systemui that stopped again)?
If it's normal how can I disable it, because I don't like it at all.

Yes even i am facing the same issue.

FIX
Fixed the red border problem.
Here is how to do this:
Open root browser and open build.prop file.
At the end of the line add these two lines as it is-
persist.sys.strictmode.visual=0
persist.sys.strictmode.disable=1
Now, tap the save icon and reboot.
I request the op to add this fix in his rom.
Flashed ROM (rr-Resurrection_Remix_KK_v5.1.0-20140505-odin) again to adapt build.prop file.. And now at the setup even more Forced Close for a lot more android.xxx services, like android.systemui, android.phone, ...
So for me to unstable to continue using it. Waiting new build.

Dialer.apk fc when call comes in or out. So no calls possible. Will look for a fix.
Workaround: flash an other dialer from google play, such as go dialer or dialer one.

To be honest: I am not sure....I am not very firm with the different types of our Tab, but I forked storm31 device specific source codes and included is also the kernel: boot_p1ln.img. So I assume that this rom is working for this other types too. But as I said, I don't know whether for the c version....perhaps some one other can help us out with his knowledge !
Just a short update, that the rr rom won't work with the p1c variant of the tab. Because for this tab version other device specific sources for kernel etc are necessary (thanks to storm31 for info!).
please fix indicator charge, because i like this rom..same responsif with my s2 RR rom.
and how root this rom, because i can't see superuser in the rom

i can't see indicator charge when charging battery
it is showing, but only if connected with charger. If its connected via usb on pc an charging it is not shown. You are correct. Think it has something to do with the vendor specs...perhaps I can figure it out, but thats a minor problem imo...but will look into it ...

For some devices ota update is available. Perhaps when I have time I try to set it up too. But delta updates wouldn't be available as far as I know.

Fix permissions has been removed from cwm recovery since a couple of time. Perhaps some kernels or other cwms etc have it still included, but not RR. Art should be working, but it is still not stable and effectfull as promised. Perhaps if art will be an adult it will be as good as announced for limited hardware devices .
The fc's on calls is that a p1000 problem or is it upstream as well? Do you have an idea if a fix is close? My p1000 has been my only phone for 31/2 years now, so unfortunately for me "no phone" is a dealbreaker. Thank you for bringing this exciting rom to the p1000!

The problem is that many of the dialer and phone related sources are own RR sources, sure based on cm but with changes and some specific yes things ....I have already tried to solve it with a build of pure cm sources for device, vendor and kernel. Bu this build is stopping with an error. Nor sure if this is because of my working tree on mac os (had this with other devices too, but had it fixed) or caused through the sources....at the moment my building tree on my linux machine is busy with rr rom for my other devices, but as soon as they are finished I will start a build for the p1 there too....hopefully then and there we could get a "tabphone" again with next build :fingers-crossed:.....

Hi and good evening, as promised this release is with stock cm kernel, vendor blobs and device sources and hopefully the dialer fc is gone. Unfortunately I broke my sim card pins today in the morning, when I wanted to test the new version and whether the dialer is fixed. Now I cannot use data and phone anymore and cannot test all the related features. Perhaps I find some time to unmount the tab, so that I could get a look into it. Perhaps it could be easily repaired. I don't know. At the moment, I am quite unhappy, but ok I, its not that serious, because i haven't used it as a phone since a couple of time, but for and with data it was very useful, not only on vacations....but will see what time brings . So please test the new version and I am looking forward to any reply and feedback!

Please be informed that after a fullwipe/factory reset you will get systemui fcs during the setup menu. You can pass the settings menu with some patience and quick fingers anyways. Once after the setup is passed, the rom is running well.

probably you have pin code on the sim.
remove it and the setup wizard goes well
Its OK it worked With The FCS anyways but The annoying red is a strange issue i never Bad anything simular in any rom

It'll work but you will be able use only single sim thats it..
no CWM? can i flash CARBON kernel? or freexperia kernel?

maybe i will use it after this ROM get a stable build :laugh: but of course, this ROM is perfect for me :victory:
For now replace the boot.img with CM stock kernel. Ill try to patch that soon.

I have problem.... I had CM11 Beta 5, i cleared dalvik cache and installed this zip and I forget about clear data... i cant get CMW, i dont have the first logo and phone stuck on boot animation... what can i do? Flashmode doesnt work ;/

Flash this kernel for now.. New version from his test build, it has cwm recovery:

-OTA UPDATES-
- You will get a notification on your phone when a new version of RR ROM is available. You can download the ROM on your phone through the OTA updater.
- For now, I have made the link to open in a browser as direct links for the ROM zip on file host might not work at times. I might change this to direct downloading of zips in the future.
- Full ROM will be downloaded, not a delta zip.
- I haven't tested flashing the ROM using the automated scripts in the OTA updater. Use them at your own risk. I advice you to open recovery manually and flash the ROM manually. If you do decide to test the OTA updater scripts and it works, share with the community.

You can use Trickster app for enable s2w.
I get a android.process.media error on this even after a clean flash. Can't use camera. I'm loving this ROM on my s3 and what kernel would you recommend?
I think kernel included in this rom is recommended for running this rom. It's optimized for this rom.
If for customer kernel, you can use lyapota kernel, next kernel or faux kernel.

Maybe I'll stick to ROM kernel. Just need a battery efficient CPU governor. BTW I got the error fixed

Running smooth with art, cause other rom after enbaled art will feel some lag , but this rom won't!!

I like the fact that it is pre-themed in a way. Although I don't like the progress bar colours

It feels really snappy and with smooth animations.I Like them.
The lockscreen wallpaper option in settings - resurrection tools or from theme chooser give FC.
Other than that I haven't seen anything yet.
But I just flashed it minutes ago.

Best looking ROM I've tried for me so far :good:. But I guess it's only me who has lags when tapping dots to go to Apps from Home screen. And I had 1 crash when I put it to dock at car. :silly:

This is awesome rom i have ever seen compare to all other roms but i found two problem/Cons(whatever you say)
1.Music hangs/stops for sometime(in ms) when you press home button(soft and hard button both)
2.Mobile gets hot very soon..

Clearly says that you have a incompatible recovery. You can either change it to Philz (that's what I use most since it's unified) or use twrp for Jfltetmo And not jfltexx.
I think you need to have a rom at the time of installing showing as a m919 or tmo right now you are showing I think a international version switch to a m919 rom then try to install this one it will work
For the bt issue, Have you tried clearing dalvik cache?

Nope. If you want pure nexus. Home buttons and soft keys disabled. Only power button to wake phone
