I think this might have been asked before, but how come (based on THIS ARTICLE) the S4 has a white or light grey colored version of the stock samsung keyboard.
My S4 has always been black on every software version. 4.2.2 - 4.4.2.
Is there any way I can change the color of mine? I can't seem to find how.
I found what I was looking for in another thread. Someone made a themed S5 keyboard port.

forgot to mention.. this is only the apk so you need to go to SYSTEM>APP and either rename or delete samsungIME.apk... copy the above apk, set permissions 644 -rw-r--r-- and reboot

Thanks... Any way to pull it from the theme? BTW I really like your new theme but I'm stuck on that HC Fusion. Good work and SFR 1.2 is the shiiit
@Random I tried the .apk but it didn't do anything... do I need to flash? I did see the black icon when installing but made no changes. Thanks again
Should look like this.

You'll need to flash it or use root explorer to replace the old one in /system/app with the black one.
Alternatively, you could use mysterys theme, open it up, and delete all apks but googlequicksearchbox.apk.

instruction
1. dowload systemUI.apk
2. move it to system/app (make sure to set -rw or else it wont copy in -ro)
3. replace systemUI.apk
4. it is critical that you reboot by removing the battery (dont power off) again remove battery to reboot

hello sir.. I agree with u. but it's hard for the devs to mod only this mms.apk into the touchwiz interface. I've read somewhere in Neme77 post that I think u need the aosp contacts.apk and aosp phone.apk in order to run this.
I know the basic for edting framewor-res.apk, but I would like to remove the 3 dots for ICS optimised apps since I already have hardware menu button for the job.
Trying to remove this:

Attached is the framework-res.apk, if anyone is free to mod it for me. Otherwise instructions will also be welcome.
Thans in advance.

Do you want to remove softkeys too? If so try to flash a softkey uninstaller.
I only know how to make the button transparent not remove it entirely.
Search the forum for more help.
I don't really see what's bad about it, since you use softkeys.
Erm never mind did it myself.
