Hi ive seen various threads on various batteries but im very interested in these 2300mah and 1950mah standard size batteries on ebay. Anyone had any hands on experience of these and if so are they anygood?
A short comparison to the standard sony 1500mah would be great
Not interested in mugen too expensive for me and i already own a 2600 mah cheapy which is great but too big and ugly.
Anyone tried these out?

Best deal on an extended battery. Significant increase in battery life, fits with the stock battery cover, and its only $5. It's what I have.
I know you don't want to hear about Mugen Power...
But I will tell you anyway that I have a Mugen Power battery and it gives my phone a full 20 hours of battery life. This is 20 hours of playstation emulation, web browsing, GPS and other forms of very intense use.
This battery is worth every single dollar I spent on it. I makes the phone and consequently me 100% independent of car chargers, wall chargers and other such obstructions.
It is very liberating to know that when I walk out that door in the morning, I can depend on this phone for the entire day. Give the mugen power another look.
I purchased this 2600mah battery from batterybay.net and I simply love it. It works so much better the nthe 1950mah battery I got from Ebay earlier this month. I get a day and half on this thing. And I am a heavy user, lots of gaming and internet usage. This thing was $17 with free shipping, but be warned it took mine 3 weeks to get to me. Either way I totally love this battery. I have not had to charge my phone during the day in weeks, I charge it when I got to bed of course. But Ih ave never had the battery less that 60% at the end of the day.

but youre still missing the point that he wanted a battery without an extra back cover.
I really don't get some of these requests? A lot of people seem to want a battery that's superior to the stock one, but don't want any extra size, any extra weight and want it very very cheap. If this battery existed, don't you think Sony would have put it in the phone already? Why not contact Sony about your battery concerns? I'm not trying to be rude at all, but until battery technology proceeds further, we have to do what we can with what we have. The big Mugen battery (which I have and use) adds about 6 millimeters in thickness and an ounce or two in weight. My old Nokia 6620 was bigger than this bone stock!! The Mugen was bigger at first for sure but now I don't even notice at all. The massive increase in battery life was more than worth it. Until technology grows, you can't have a battery that's thin, small, light, has a huge capacity and is super cheap. Even with a slightly bigger battery, these phones are still smaller than what we were using just a little while ago.

I just thought with technology moving on at such a rate and the 2300mah claims there making these might be a new improved type of slim battery and the purpose of this thread was to see what experiences people who have USED these batteries have had, good, bad or ugly. Its not really for people to guess how they perform and type stuff like you only get what u pay for blah blah... I can guess myself, i wanted some hands on info. I already own a big replacement battery which works great but turns my sleek xperia play into something from the 1990s! Not being rude just trying to get this back on track. Ill try one of these slim 2300mah batteries myself soon im just skint at the moment so i was doing some research first. Ive read a few threads before creating this and it does seem theres alot of people with opinions on these cheap batteries but i dont hear much from people who have actually used them.

And it seemed t owork very well for a few days but after that my phone was glitching out constantly. Games were slow and would stutter. I later found out that the battery's output was not consistent. Thus causing issues with the phones performance. I then found the site I bought my current battery from and even though its a beast the increase in battery is totally worth it. I had to give up my otterbox case for this battery and i have qualms with that. ITs too bad you cant get a battery with extra umph in it and keep the same size. IF you do find something liek that remember that the battery will be hotter then normal and the heat will decrease the life of the battery and the length of time it can hold a charge for.

Does the thicker battery case help with gripping the phone while playing? I don't have any problems holding it, but having that extra grip can't hurt.
To be honest I was afraid of the thickbess of the phone with the new battery cover. But I have found that the thickness does not bother me and when I slide open the controlls to play a game the phone due to the added thickness is a lot more comfortable and I have been able to play for longer periods of time then I could have prior to getting this battery.

Well there is of coarse the posibility of using nuclear power fushion for the battery cells i estimate the eqashion of +2#2.0-#+100=0.11111.000 should be enough power to last one light year of battery use. Oh and no extended back cover will be needed.And i recommend that you do not use your phone to the ear for long periods the sars levels might be slightly high due to the power source.Oh sorry i forgot to mention you need to wear a radiation suit at all times when using the phone and last ov all you must have a 3 mile radius evacuation in place when making a phone call (So there will be no one around to make local calls to i guess). That's about it i think hope i never missed anything out and i hope i was of some help.

Just picked up one of these as well. I'll post feedback once it gets here. Have you had any problems at all with yours?
Nope, and that in a way is the problem for me, i'm constantly expecting something bad to happen but it hasn't and the battery lasts for ages.
Just ordered the exact same one but from the german Ebay site.
Will arrive in 8-13 days.. Will give feedback

Could you try the Otterbox without the battery cover and tell me if it would fit the thicker battery? Perhaps with the rubbery skin cut under the black shell? I can't because I filed off the clips that attach elsewhere. I basically want to buy a second stock battery door and cut a rectangle in it and, if needed, the rubber for the extended battery to extend into the Otterbox Commuter. I wouldn't want to go without the battery door entirely because it wouldn't route the audio correctly and there is also a gap between the camera and flash which water and other contaminates can freely enter.

So I got the battery about 4 days ago and it's great so far! The added thickness is actually quite awesome. Anyone looking to get some great battery life for cheap should pick up one of these bad boys! If you're all about aesthetic and how your phone LOOKS, well that just shouldn't matter haha.

Like many of you, I am extremely interested in the HTC One X. However, my one concern is the battery life - and is the only thing that is preventing me from pre-ordering one (and claiming the free MediaLink HD included with phones4u).
I currently have a Motorola Milestone, and have had so for around 26 months now - I believe the battery in that is about 1,450mAh - however, is effectively dead now getting no more than two hours solid use (apps). Now, I could easily go and buy a new battery for the Milestone - but won't as I am hoping to upgrade within a month.
My concern is therefore the non-removable, 1,800mAh battery found in the One X. Does anyone have any idea how long the One X will last with a good amount of usage, as I don't want to buy a phone that is going to have a poor battery life, that will become even worse within one year (two year contracts, after all)?

My Galaxy Nexus with 1750mah battery, roughly the same size screen (4.65"), also 720p but different screen tech lasted about 3h10m screen on time on average :/
Which was obviously poor, but there are lots of factors that will affect this HTC, eg better processor (with companion core), Super LCD 2 might be more energy efficient plus HTC software should hopefully result in better battery but I'm not holding out for anymore than 4 hour screen on time tbh

Also as far as lasting the length of the contract goes, according to their website carphone warehouse offer 24 month warranty for the phone, 12 for accessories and battery.
So if it was to get worse you'd be able to send it off for repair and they'd probably just replace as I doubt they'd be able to fix it with it being unibody.

Hmm, going to change settings on my Milestone to see what battery life I get out of that without touching it (screen on). I would be disappointed with 4 hours screen time to be fair.

My time on the Nexus was mainly spent browsing the internet or streaming music tbf so that wouldn't of helped as it was all happening over 3G

This concerns me the most as well (the other is no micro SD slot but I can live with 26gb storage better then the galaxy nexus) and holding me back from pre-ordering it. Wonder the logic behind of having non-removable battery on such a nice phone? *** sign *** sign ***

Truth be told, the reason I did not buy Galaxy Nexus was because the poor battery life and 16GB storage. If you go to gsmerana.com and find the galaxy nexus battery result, you'd be suprise because GN is MOST worst battery life test expecially in web browsing roughly survive 3 hour in GSM model.

This one don't worry about it. In my research, I found out that when on idle, HTC One X will use the fifth core to save battery life. Whenever you watch video(this one most benefit to me ), it's up to 60% of power saving using 4 cores which is 12 hours. The lack of mirco SD card also helped to improve performance and battery life since don't require additional card reading. 4 cores actually increase performance while increase battery life when browsing, gaming, video and others.

I too wonder this. I guess the overall finish looks slightly better without a removable back cover. The lack of the MicroSD slot is not a big deal for me, simply because of the good amount of internal storage - and the 25gb Dropbox storage that comes included. I am trying to hold out from pre-ordering, with the (bleak) hope of seeing the Galaxy S3 event announced before the 5th of April. I guess the majority of deals available will still be available after the release.
Another problem for me, is HTC's habit of releasing an unnecessary number of phones a year, compared to the S series which is an annual flagship affair. Having said that, I have never been a fan of the "Home" button on the S3 - but that wouldn't stop me buying it if it topped the One X on the majority of key features (erm, a removable battery for a start?)

Actually I see no point of having removable battery cover because when you dropped a phone, the phone will actually break out..battery cover, battery and even worst SIM-card. My father has damaged his phone because of constantly dropping phone and I have to repair it piece by piece. About your second problem, don't worry about it. HTC already stated that they will focus on "Quality" not "Quantity". That is why you saw One-series were based on this idea.

The sim card wouldn't fall out if it is kept in the place it is now. The issue is the battery is really small (at first glance) for such a powerful phone, and if you can't even carry a spare..
I have had most HTC phones in the last 3 years. I have never had to use my spare.
What i do have though is my small APC portable battery pack

But they didn't have tegra 3 with companion core etc...
We can speculate about the battery life as long as we can.. We will know it when some people have their hands on.. Not anytime sooner :/

well im on galaxy s2 right now.. love the idea of htc one x in my hands in couple of weeks.. only concern is battery.. im not happy with my gs2,s battery life.. wonder if 4.7 lcd 2 and 1800mah would do any better :S.. keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for best..
I don't fear about battery life on tegra 3. Its perfect on my ATP. Companion core actually works great. Usually it only loses 1% of battery over night.
And 32GB should be enough for me.

Try to compare with Galaxy nexus regarding battery..
HTC one x has,
- larger battery
- SLCD2, which uses less power over amoled
- tegra 3 has companion core too
So, to compare to the latest nexus, the ONE X should offer much better battery.
..... So, cant be too bad.

1% over night with the atp? with or without doc?
That would mean, since the htc one x has 1800mah, and the transformer has 6930mah, that we lose 3-4% over night, which is pretty good.
I have just come across this interesting Poll on facebook concerning the replacement of internal batteries on HTC One Series with extended batteries.

Apparently Mugen is planning to produce extended batteries for internal battery phones as well and supply an intrusion manual for users on how to open the phone and replace the internal battery.

since the cover non-removable i don't think that i would do it...
Would a extended battery case that would latch on the 5 pins at the back be more feasible instead? Seems like a less intrusive method of extending battery life.
On facebook 55 voters voted with yes - open yourself!! and like 7 voters in total selected other options!!
I cannot wait to get the phone in my hands and test it, i am sure it will require stronger battery to use its full capacity without compromising, so would open up and exchange the battery for sure.

I reckon this would be the best way to go. As soon as you pull off that cover you can kiss your warranty goodbye.
Something like a PowerSkin would be a much better alternative for Mugen.
Battery life on this phone is fine for me. I see no need to change the battery.
Considering that Moto/VZ are going to be offering the option to put the MAXX battery in the RAZR I wouldn't be surprised if more companies start doing the same.
That said, one advantage of having a very difficult to remove internal battery is that people can't steal your phone and disable your ability to track it simply by pulling the battery. Not go give manufacturers/carriers credence to do so, but I'd certainly pay to have an extended battery put in under warranty, though I would think it's cheaper to simply put something slightly better in to begin with.

From what I've read, users (somehow) have been able to get really good battery life out of them despite the huge screen and mediocre battery. I'd try it out for a few weeks before you throw your money at something you probably won't need.

You have your phone for 1 week and your battery sucks? Its not that the battery is very poor, it's just the fact that a LI-ION battery takes up to 2 weeks to be fully calibrated. We talk here about a new phone, with a battery that didn't run before now.
So give this little guy a break and try it for 2-3 weeks before saying that the battery life is horrible. If it lasts 1 day and some hours it is a good battery life for a smartphone with this huge display!

As someone educated me on this I'll pass on the favor. Li-ion batteries do not need a breaking in period like old tech rechargeables. It has a specific amount of charges it can take before it no longer holds max charge, but it holds that maximum charge from the first day.
With the right settings a good sense ROM will get pretty decent battery. But I do feel slightly limited by the 1500 battery. It would've been nice to have easy battery modding from the get go.
Thank god I am satisfied with my battery life, in V ONE as far as I know the battery is not removable, right?
You can remove it. You just have to take the whole phone apart to get at it.

This may be a dumb question but it's a new one on me.
I gave my wife my gs3 when I got a gs4 and her battery life is horrible due to all the games, candy crush etc and fb, so I bought her a spare battery, just a cheap one from cell phone shop.net.
With the cheap battery in every time she uses the camera the phone shuts down, I used the phone for a year with wicked sensations rom with no problems at all (wish Dazed would make the rom for the gs4! LOL)
Has anyone else run into this issue? I'm sure it's due to the cheap battery, but you never know.

I had nothing but problems when I had a cheap battery, went back to oem battery real quick. FB is a battery and RAM hog. My suggestion to use m.Facebook.com. Doesn't run in the background. Stays signed in until you clean browser cookies. This should make a big difference in battery life. You won't get notifications, but you can set up Facebook sms messaging, which works almost the same.

Bargain Batteries are not always such a Bargain. I would highly suggest staying away from " Bargain Batteries " . I can tell you from experience, it is sometimes more costly. Among the issues I have come across are, Battery not reading correctly. Or not at all. Fluctuations in Battery voltage. Battery causing the device to run hot. The battery becoming unviable after only a short amount of time. Battery causing the Device to Reboot. Battery causing the Device to act erratic, due to unstable Voltage discharge. Battery not charging correctly. Plus even stranger things. These are just some of the issues I have come across on " Bargain Batteries " . In one Drastic case on a friends Device the Battery over heated while charging, and melted the back cover of his Device. Do some research before purchasing an aftermarket battery for your device. Read the reviews. Check the companies reputation, and be informed.
I figured it was a issue with the cheap battery, thanks for the info, I didn't realize it could cause issues that severe! I guess I'll either have to buy her a better battery or show her how to stretch batt life out!

I have a cheap battery that I bought thinking it was a genuine Samsung battery but turned out to be a counterfeit battery. It works ok but does not last quite as long as the original battery. I have found that if I use the camera with flash the phone will reboot if I am under 50% or so on that battery.

Yes I've seen even weirder confirmed battery issues than the ones I listed. Get yourself a New quality battery. Then I would suggest checking out THIS kernel, and the thread HERE to be on your way towards great Battery life.
Have this issue with a cheap battery (OEM died and I'm poor lol). Found it to be the flash for me. If I disable flash I can take pics without the phone dying. No other issues I can find (other than crappy battery life)
Does anyone have any direct experience (not hearsay) or a link to anyone who has actually done actual testing on any replacement batteries.
Ideally, something like what Richard Lloyd has done on youtube to test 18650 batteries.
*** As we can use the google machine, please refrain from links saying "this battery sucks" or "this is the best ever!". Reviews on amazon, ebay, aliexpress and others can be bought for pennies.
It would be great to see someone doing math and using electrical measurements, not what an app reports. ***

So, two-ish years later and my unlocked HTC 10's battery is starting to go.
I'm using the latest build of Leedroid's rom and no, it is not the rom.
I have replaced batteries in the past and feel like I should give it a shot even though HTC made it a b*tch to change.
Why I'm asking: I changed the battery on a past phone and it worked pretty well for 6-ish months. Then, it exploded and cracked the lcd and g glass screen.
So, trying to avoid that.

We cannot get a real / genuine HTC 10 battery.
HTC does not sell them.
Anything labeled as such is most likely a Chinese fraud or an actual HTC 10 battery that failed their internal inspection process.

Has anyone ever gotten a reading of more than 3000mah that lasts?
I've read on oneplus forums that many replacement batteries often only provide ~80% of the real battery when new and fully charged (mAh).
Many have concluded that batteries that fail their inspection process are not properly recycled and are being re-branded and sold under new names / stickers.
Comments welcome, hopefully my caveats at the beginning didn't scare off everyone.

I've done mine got it from repairbase.co.uk but haven't done any tests on it other than what an app called acubattery which estimates it's capacity as 2868. I've never fully charged it got it set to only go to 75% in the hope that it'll last longer than the original.
Ref the actual swap it wasn't that bad,
I heated the screen on a microwaved wheat bag
used some suction cup pliers to lift the screen
Cut the glue with a guitar pick
Made a simple diagram on a bit of cardboard to stick the screws in.
I took all the tape off completely stored on a bit of greaseproof paper and was really careful with the screen ribbon.
I replaced my own battery.
I replaced my own battery. I bought it off of ebay from a seller in the US. My phone used to have random boot loops now that no longer happens.
It was difficult. Heating the display and pulling off is a problem. I actually broke my display and severed my ribbon cable for the sim. I replaced those parts and battery change was successful. Now the only issue is the adhesive is not sticking that great. Nothing that affects anything. I just see how the screen slightly gives just a little bit. I do not recommend the double stick tape. Get the special glue!!! Something with a 7000 in the name.
I will be reheating a gluing it in the future. I dread working on this phone. Although I am not a professional I think I did a pretty good job. Other phones are much easier to repair.
I DID NOT notice a super improvement in battery life. My new battery was now back to "Ok" battery life instead of terrible no more bootloops at 20% or when camera is open. There is a problem with the HTC 10 with the cpu using to much, along with wakelocks and wifi. I really wish HTC would address these issues.
I installed LEEDROID have not switched kernal yet. I have getting over 4hours and 30 minutes of on screen time. If I change the kernel and throttle the cpu I may be able to get a little more. The goal is 5 hours.
I am NOT an EXPERT. I am a smart individual through trial and error that can figure many things out. I like to get the most out of my technology I'm not ready to get a new phone. My phone is primarily used for Audiobooks, Youtube, web browsing, texting.

Oh.... and i always tought these batteries are from the same manufacturer as the original one but somehow stolen/bought directly at the manufacturing site and sold by private persons.
It is really hard to distinguish a real battery from a fake...
But to know if your battery is full/new or not the only way is an external discharge test.

But it says 3A ... which is a bit much for this poor phone battery.
Having a functioning temperature sensor is critical to the stability and safety of the battery. If you've replaced your battery, use an app like Accubattery to verify the following: an existing thermistor will read a fluctuation in temps anywhere from 20-50C based on usage and ambient heat. Most (all?) of the batteries sold online have only a resistor which will send various inaccurate readings to the phone, typically 25C while charging, and a jump to 35-38C while unplugged (if the plugging/unplugging makes no sudden difference, try putting your phone in the freezer, or going between idle and heavy use to test).
If your replacement battery has an accurate temp sensor, please add to the discussion by telling us where you purchased it.

Shame it's so much effort to change battery my wifes phone always turns off at around 21% now and she doesn't like any of the newer phones most are too big this htc 10 was the max she would go to.
My guess is that a lot of people are going to try in the coming 2-6 months as their battery starts to weaken.
Phone is great. Processor is fast enough and camera is great.
My hope is that we can gather real info and start to get good intel on these battery brands (?).
I don't think changing the battery is particularly easy, but it can be done. (See YouTube)
That being said, I don't want to have to do it more than once.
I hope more people chime in, because I guess many have already and many more will be doing it.

Tips from experience on M7
One thing about lithion batteries . . . they lose a bit of capacity just sitting on the shelf as matter of simple, natural deterioration. So to a certain extent, the newer the better.
When I replaced the battery on my HTC One M7 it was a similar challenge. My approach to buying a battery was to look closely at the photos and see what the date was on the battery for sale as it should be printed on it. (Some of the sellers don't even know that.) I tried to get the most plausibly recently made battery, within reason. By that I mean, I was concerned that for an older phone there might not be any batteries recently manufactured for it, so a very recently dated battery might be fraudulently remarked/re-dated. If I wasn't sure I queried the seller to find out if they knew what the battery's date was.
I'm not sure my theory is correct about which date battery to shoot for, but I'm still going with that line of thinking

1-No its not exploded yet, its working very well
2-I guess no , because im having same SoT as i get it when i first buy the phone
3-I removed the screen first,then one by one other compenents.Dimensions are the same
4-Its takin 50-60 mins to charge from %5 to full
6-Stock rom 4-4.5 hours depend on the use
I sent my HTC-10 in for battery replacement through the official service in Germany. This was approx. 6 weeks before my warranty ran out.
Battery performance was really bad with SOT of around 2 hrs, and random shut downs at 20-40% battery capacity.
After 2-3 weeks it came back, and according the delivery paper the battery has been replaced.
But regrettably no improvement could be notified.
So I sent it back again and got it back within approx. 1 week. This time they had replaced the side keys on the Phone, but even this time I could not find any improvement of the battery performance.
So I claimed it a third time, and sent it to the official service again. But now my 24 months warranty was gone….However they still accepted this as a Warranty claim and when I got my phone back after approx. 2-3 weeks it had a new battery, and a new screen.
Since then, the battery performance is good and my phone works more or less like a new one.
I get SOT between 4-5 hrs and no more shut downs and boot loops using stock Oreo.

got the same issues and replaced battery from official htc service.
well sot was around 3h when i first bought it.now its 4h and battery still 48%.
frined buy it from the same shop 1 week after me and he still got 4h+ sot.so i guess some devices sold with deflected battery?
