This is crazy - Read - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Developer Edition that was on the WW 1.54.401.5 Firmware. With that firmware
ATT Isis Wallet installed and was set up perfectly. This am I saw that the Developer Edition update was available
so I put back my phone to the Original Developer edition firmware, got the update. All went great. Power Saver there etc...
Now I am re installing my apps and the Isis Wallet now says incompatible! This is crazy the WW firmware works and
the Developer Edition Firmware does not. For the record I am S- OFF and super user.
Any ideas?

Back to WW firmware
Well I am back to the 1.54.401.5 Firmware. Isis wallet works perfectly again.
Very strange it would be accepted with the WW firmware as opposed to the Developer Edition.
Completely stock

to my knowledge isis wallet is more a carrier thing so it does make sense if the att firmware works with it and the developer firmware doesnt. so if you have the wrong firmware it shouldnt work..icould be wrong though. But i always seen it that way.

The thing that's crazy is the WW firmware is NOT ATT. Actually neither is the Developer Edition Firmware.
So to answer your question in this case its not tied to ATT firmware.

[Q] Stock Messaging App Have Block List?

Does this intl. version have the block list feature in the htc stock messaging app like in previous devices and Sense? I'm on the Verizon variant of this device and attached below a screenshot of what is available and do not have the blocked list option. I had it on sense 5.5 on an older device. Not sure if they took this feature out completely or if it's in the intl version since you all have the most up to date software version?
We don't even have the power save modes yet so thinking when we do get the software update if you guys have this feature we will too? I do have the option to block calls but not texts?

Can someone check please? Take about 10 seconds to find out if the feature is there or not. Simply hit the settings button like i did in the top right corner of the stock messaging app and if it's there you will have an option that i don't have in my picture that should say something like, Block List. Thank you

Damn, well maybe there is still hope for us on Verizon old firmware. Either with carrier firmware update when we get power save mode this will come or S-Off and put it in. Thank you.
What firmware are you using? International phone model?

Pretty sure you flashed the wrong thing if you got it from here, this is the Sprint forum, and judging by your signature you have the TMo variant... and now you're probably screwed because you can't downgrade your firmware. Read read read, and don't flash stuff that's not for your phone.

could he not go into download mode and try to flash his stock rom?

No because he flashed the 4.4 Bootloader and they don't have 4.4 yet, so flashing the 4.3 firmware will brick it... He should be able to Odin a recovery and wipe everything and flash a new ROM.

How to find out which rom to flash on my D855

I had purchased a supposedly international unlocked LG g3 D855 32gb from eBay. Currently I am running kitkat 4.4.2 rooted rom which came pre-installed on the phone and it's rooted. There is no update center on my phone
Now I want to update it to lollipop or may be marshmallow but the problem is that I can't find which version of rom to flash as there are lots of D855 models in market there is European version, Korean version, Hong Kong version, Indian version. There is no clear indication on the box or on the phone abt the version is there any sure shot way of knowing what rom should I flash as I can't take risk of hard / soft bricking the phone. I am attaching screen shot of software version.
Please help

Hi
Download the app LGPhone From from play store, run it and one of the entries under serial no. will give a series of letters which denote area and carrier. E.g AGBRVK which is Virgin UK. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply
Downloaded "LG phone from" and "LG phone info" and it says original : FAIL
what does it mean
Sent from my Lenovo K50a40 using Tapatalk
Beneath the battery it's written MADE IN KOREA.
I m not really sure.. If its true or not
Sent from my Lenovo K50a40 using Tapatalk
If it is an original LG D855 the first entry should read OK, and then should list serial numbers and IME. Possibly your phone is a fake. I don't know as I have never seen one.

Note10+ 975U1 Android 11 One UI 3 Beta available. With tether fix

I looked for another thread and couldn't find one, if there is one for the 975U1 this one can be closed. As the title says the beta is available. I installed it yesterday and rolled back today because I was no longer able to use my phone as a Hotspot. Technically I could use the Hotspot feature it just didn't work because it wouldn't pass any data through to anything I had tethered to my Note10+ 975U1.
I should mention I have the non 5G variant.
I was able to get cellular data going again through tethering by adding a new APN with everything the same and adding default, dun, mms, supl, hipri to the "APN type" field.

I suspect that I'll have to flash the u1 files again so that I can try the beta myself on my u. I wish Verizon would let us play in the beta games.

I hear you. I like having the unlocked variant most of the time until I want to use a function that AT&T will not allow me to use because I don't have an AT&T branded phone.
It's not actually available afaik. I got the same thing in Samsung Members on my T-Mobile variant (SM-975U) and it was simply an announcement of their planned update schedule.

See the screenshot I attached.
If you flash the 975U1 firmware and Samsung is still taking beta testers you should be able to get it. You may lose some functions of your carrier. If you are using a carrier branded phone it looks like Android 11 will be available in February. I am not sure if that's when Samsung gives it to the carriers or when the carriers are expected to release Android 11 for your model.

Question Raven version 12.0.0 SQ1D.211205.017 reported as SD1A.210817.015.A4

Where is it reporting as SD1A.210817.015.A4? In Settings/About? Any other details such as what country you're in and what carrier you're using? Anything else you can tell us - are you rooted or applied OTA or factory image manually?

Are you using a custom kernel?
Can you check the hash of the full .017 firmware zip you downloaded and compare it to the hash shown on the website? (I check it after every time I download a full image zip, or an OTA zip)
minus case insens they match
BF3DA4B26554D84F99EAAD9837330C7D757F7D31442397EF89A98307D169D96A

curious to know which is the one to apply for google FI or t-mobile or ATT (you'd think i'd know this working for TMO

It was always my impression to use the one that makes sense for the region and carrier you use, i.e. US Carrier, but at least one knowledgeable person in the P6P section said the A1 is the correct one. I haven't had problems with the US Carrier one on AT&T (.017). My wife's phone isn't rooted and she hasn't gotten the December OTA. I mainly leave well enough alone on her phones since some things I've done on all her old phones (which is always the same phone as what I have, to make it easier for me to give her tech support) have given her unwanted surprises.
Oh yeah - you could always try the Official Google Android Flash Tool and see if you get any different results.
so is the 16.a1 correct or 17 for us carriers?

I don't have any better answer than my reply #12. Since the .017 says "US Carriers" on the page with the list of firmware, that's the one I use.
