Just follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2673839
It's a custom rom made by surdu_petru and it's just beautiful but you need to root your device and install a custom recovery...if you are intrested, just follow the guides in developments section

It's stock EMUI KK and works pretty well. If you want stock ANDROID use OMNI ROM by surdu_petru it's the smoothest ROM for me if you like stock ANDROID.

That OMNI ROM it's not stock. It's custom, and doesn't even have the possibility to change the default storage. Don't mislead people.

The general consensus is that B125 and B132 were the best firmware for this device.
I think B125 is the one they got everything right.
N.B. these are Jellybean 4.2
The B510 series is Kit Kat 4.4.2

You are right about B125 but that emui 1.6, and since ive tried emui 3.0 im never going back to the old one thats why i would suggest the B708 series.

B125 is emui 2.0/3 Jellybean
So is B520 which is KitKat at emui 2.3
I'm on B520 and intend to stay there until I'm sure about the B708 series.
My phone is smooth, Mr battery life is excellent and I'm not reading those things on B708.
If Huawei finally release an official international, I'll update.
It's good that someone ROM'd 708 for people. As far as I'm aware it's based on the Chinese firmware.
I don't want problems with kernels etc.
How is your experience with it?

You are totally wrong about B125 being emui 2.3, and so far ive been using the B709 series since they are out, pretty satisfied with all options in and battery performance (as possible on our device) think ive flashed a kernel but dont know which one have to check and see.

Dude. You ARE annoying me. The info on Huawei news is not what comes with the firmware.
Perhaps B107, the very EARLIEST release. B125, 128, 132 are the very last releases of Android 4.2 (jellybean) emui 2/2.3
I've had all the firmware actually on my phone except B107. My phone shipped on emui 2.0 - and was on 2.0/3 with the B5 series.
Whatever the case, I'll wait for an official release of the B708 international.

Sorry to jump in here, but @tileeq is correct. The international B125 (Jelly Bean) is EMUI 1.6
There was never an international EMUI 2.0, only in China. Also, on the P6, EMUI 2.0 was only released with the KitKat update. Those were the B506/7/8 firmwares for China.
The international firmwares, B510 and upwards, skipped EMUI 2.0, and jumped straight to KitKat EMUI 2.3.
If your device shipped with B51x, then you were lucky, but that means you didn't have the device for very long then.

Yes, but heavy users have risk to destroy battery or phone with this combination. Phone and battery can overheat. there is no temcontrol integrated.
Definately B125 or 132. I tested B520 International and B708 and both of them had a HUGE lag in Chrome and some other apps. I hate ugliness of JB and EMUI 1.6, but i have to live with it.

How can I install a new rom for this phone?
If I upgrade to Lolipop, will my knox bootloader still allow flashing back to Kitkat? Or rather, is it the same bootloader?

Pretty sure you can go back to kit kat as I don't think custom roms change the boot loader just stock firmware does. Only thing is if your knox hasn't tripped it will if you flash a custom kernel and lollipop.

In this case though, I would be upgrading from stock Kitkat to an official lolipop release. After the issues with Kitkat to Jelly Bean I am concerned I'll be able to downgrade back to kitkat.

It's official from CM team not Samsung. So still a custom rom. Official tag means nothing.

I'm not sure about miscommunication, there is no CM here. I flash back to the stock rom my phone came with then accept the Lolipop update? Or is there no Lolipop for S4 Mini right now?

No lollipop update from Samsung ever to come for s4 mini. Just custom roms.
Okay, well that explains that, lol.
I really liked the sunburst click for the lockscreen unlock, but I didn't think it was possible with the Theme-manager dictated CM. Was hoping Samsung had a way to keep it.
