Hi,
This question would be more suited for development forum, unfortunatly I can't post there.
I've been using cm-10.2-20140209-NIGHTLY for 3 months and it works great. I guess some later versions are even better... Unfortunatly, when they started working on cm-11 nightlies, nobody seems to have thought about keeping the latest 10.2 nighlies available for download on download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=n7100, and they are now all gone now. The only 10.2 version is an old test version from august.
Unfortunatly version 11 is just beginning and is really buggy. So I'm in search of thoses latest cm-10.2-NIGHTLY somewhere.
Does anybody have any idea where I could find one of the latest cm-10.2-NIGHTLY versions for Galaxy Note II N7100 ?
Thanks
Arnaud

Hey guys,
I currently installed the CM 7.2 FXP047 project (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128216) on my R800i. Before that I had a 7.0.1 CM on my device. I decided to upgrade to 7.2. cause the changelog told me that camera, touch pads and vibration are fixed within this version. Unfortunately all these parts still didn't work after my upgrade. Does anyone of you have same issures or may I have used a wrong boot.img before?
Also I just realised that you brought us a newer version, FXP049. But the download link seems to be disabled? Does anyone of you have the archive and can upload it or is it just a temporary matter?
Thank you very much in advance for your answers and your patience.
Regards,
AltFFear
Same problem
Yeah i got the same problem with my r800i. First i installed CM7 7.1. Camera and vibration didn't work + some bugs. So i i came to xda forums and upgraded to 7.2 didn't take the new boot.img. Now i got same problems again as 7.1. Anyone got a fix yet ?
Hello developers.
I have 3 questions to ask.
1. The CyanogenMod 9 ALPHA (Build 5) rom was out for SGW in april. And it had Camera, FM radio issues. I want to know if they have released any latest version which doesnt have any issue?? I tried searching it online but couldnt get any. Please give me the link of the updated version.
2. Samsung Galaxy S I9000 just got CyanogenMod 10 (jelly bean). Is there any chance that it wil be available even for SGW?? Or is it already out? (Again i couldnt find any info regarding that as well). Please send the link so that i can flash the rom.
3. Can i flash CyanogenMod 10, which is released for Galaxy S, to Galaxy W? Will it work? Or will it cause any problems??
It will be really helpful (for rookie like me) to get the solutions from experts of xda. Thank you.
Cheers.
1. Build 5 is the latest
2. It is possible that someone will port it, but there is no JB ROM for the GW at the moment.
3. No you can't, the phone won't boot.
Q1. Build 5 is latest indeed, but there is a camera fix now, it still has some bugs, but it does focus now with stock camera app

Hello
Just want to correct Cm9 build 6 is now available..
(And here is the link for the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1576874)
If you want my opinion I say u better backup your files and try this rom, another thing don't worry about bugs the rom will NOT crash and stuff .....as long you flash it correctly. Except the known issues (FM and camera)
And for the camera I tested it and it can auto focus but not touch to focus..!
And for question two ......be patient you don't know how long we waited until Cm9 is here and camera is half working.
And foe question three OF COURSE you can't ....( like the man before me said)
Thanks for reading.

Hey guys.
Coming from Desire S that went swimming, I found Ace 2 pretty similar, but missing more support in terms of ROMs.
In Desire S part of forum, there is a thread that has all the ROMs linked in one post, separated by android version. Could somebody do that?
Which ROM is currently newest and fastest?
Also, when can we expect 4.3 ROM to be available? Excuse my ignorance, but I really dont know what it takes for a ROM to be compiled on this device? I always thought that android is backward compatible with older devices..

answer:
1. all roms on 1 post are on ace 2 general section. please search before asking...
unfortunately, ace 2‘s jb still has lag eventhough already stable. Most people use CM..
2. Recent news, ace 2 only support until 4.2.2. source: www.sammobile.com/2013/03/18/galaxy-s-ii-galaxy-note-to-get-android-4-2-2-android-5-0-for-the-galaxy-s-iii-galaxy-note-ii/

Which one is "best"? Whats with that GPS bug?
4.2.2 is last for official version, but why cannot 4.3 be ported to this hardware? What are limitations?

1. you still can‘t use gps. I use sygic and when I opened it, it force closed automatically. no one is the best at this cm‘s rom because now there is only one cm builder (cm10 is dh.harald and cm10.1 is bagnzor. CM 10 is 4.1.2 and CM 10.1 is 4.2.2. eventhough both of them have bugs, you still can use it as daily purpose. you will get better explanation if you ask on rom‘s thread
2. 4.2.2 for ace 2 is only for CM version and for official is still prediction. Samsung has not release any official ROM 4.2.2 for ace 2, but instead they release ace 3. No further information whether this device will get 4.3 or not (don‘t know the limitation yet, but from the experience of jb I think ram is not high enough for 4.3 and samsung has already release ace 3 so it may be favored to it. From the news also known that samsung only release 4.3 for quadcore devices). So, if you want 4.2.2 but liked ace 2, go buy ace 3. if you want 4.3, go buy nexus series
Hey, actually I am still using the old galaxy 5, which supports officially only from, but one developer gave us cm7,9,10 and now 10.1!!!!

Sorry if this has been asked many times in the past, but I cannot find anyone asking recently...
My girlfriend has the official jellybean 4.1.2 installed on her UK Ace 2 GT-i8160, but it often freezes up or lags when doing simple tasks... she was thinking of getting me to downgrade it back to gingerbread, but I wondered if getting one of the kitkat roms would be better?
The requirements are simple.... the most stable and reliable kitkat rom for a UK Ace 2 GT-i8160.
I've been reading and searching the forums for the last couple hours... but I just keep getting more and more confused.
Can anyone help?
EDIT/UPDATE:
CM11 looks like it's the most worked on mod, but I'm confused as to why there are so many 'stable' and 'fully working' releases, when the next update lists a few fixes... so it obviously wasn't 'fully working'? :S
Is the last version of 4.4.3 more stable than the latest 4.4.4? or perhaps a lower version than that?
Or perhaps CM10.2 would be better? - as I stated above, I just want the phone to be as stable and reliable as possible... the official jellybean rom is a joke, and gingerbread wasn't much better.
No replies, but ok...
I've spent about 10 hours reading threads about different roms, but it would have been nice if someone could have pointed me in the right direction to save some of that time. If anyone else is wanting the most stable custom ROM for their Ace 2, go for 4.3.1 TeamCanjica CyanogenMod 10.2.
I've just installed it and it works like a dream so far... like getting a brand new phone
Doesn't even need to be rooted, very simple to install through the standard recovery menu.

thanks, will try out as i also faced the same issues after upgraded to jellybean.:good:
Most stable KitKat ROM for Ace 2 is AOSP ROM. No Custom ROM can beat its stability....

I have a sprint galaxy s3 SPHL710PUDND8 and cannot get any of them to install it and I went rummaging through the installer scripts and realized they worked for every model but mine. I added my phone model to the list (I know maybe not the best idea) and it aborted the installation and refused to do anything. So my question is, is there anything else I can do to the Rom I currently have to get it to work or is there a specific version of CM I need to get? I am currently updated to the latest 4.4.2 KitKat firmware from sprint and have Clockworkmod Touch 6.0.4.5 installed.

I would suggest the Snapshot M12 as that will be the most stable over the nightlies.
Thanks but I am currently using the latest nightly. I saw this already on YouTube an hour after I posted this. But thanks anyway. I'll leave this up for anyone else who may have this problem.
