I would like to ask to anyone who use this software (JetAudio Music Player) on the Galaxy S2.
Developer says APE (Monkey's Audio) is supported but I can play any APE file with this app. I does not even see the folder where they are stored.
Anyone with this issue? It's the app or my ROM? (look signature).
Greetings!

According to a review, the galaxy s media player has the native capabillity to play .flv files (flash files). Has anyone heard of this player being ported or the Apk being extracted from a moment or the like? I cant find any confirmation that the player in the moment would share this capabillity, but not having to convert everydamn file down from flv into mkv etc to use on the phone would be amazing!

s media player or hard coded in?
would it be as simple as the media player? i thought all the codecs were built into the system some how? anyone??
rock player does not do flv, i tried before
That's the problem, evo doesn't have those codecs built it. Galaxy does.

Hello everyone! I'm having problems playing some music on the phone. I've used googles music app from market, default htc music app, and cubed player. They all seem to skip over all the songs. However, finding the music in root explorer will play it from there! They are mp3 320 bitrate... I assume not variable quality. Anyone else experience this? I'm on skyraider 1.3 btw. Thanks!
all the music players i've used work fine with my mp3 files. are the songs that get skipped in the same folder as the other files that work? the only thing i can think of is a .nomedia file is placed in their folder, which makes any media invisible to any media player, pics included.
try moving the music that isn't recognized to a different location and check again.
Evening all,
Is there anyway of getting .wma audio files to play through the default music player? It says "file not supported"
MP3's work fine.
Cheers
wma files dont work on the stock player...so you have 2 options
1)Use a third party music player
2)Convert the wma into an mp3...i prefer you use oxelon media converter for this
Hi,
I recently bought a Galaxy W (Middle east), The phone is not able to play aac+ or eaac+ files properly. 1st thing is it wont even recognise the tags, if i use media fixer then the phone will recognize the tags, but the quality is very low.. ie the phone is not recognizing the file as aac+ or eaac+, its recognizing as aac, so aac+ at 48 or 64kbps is playing as 48/64kbps normal aac. If anyone is able to play eaac+ or aac+v2 file in this phone with audio effects in default player, please mention your firmware version here.. my firmware version is JPLM7_ojplm4
nobody in XDA has knowledge about this! ?
Anyone? no one here use HE-AAC files? Is there any workaround or fix. Is anyone able to play 64kbps encoded HE-AAC music files in this phone with quality? 64kbps HE-AAC is supposed to give 192kbps Mp3 music quality.. i've been using HE-AAC on my xperia and previous smartphone.. however HE-AAC files are not at all working properly with samsung phone, its not androids fault as my xperia can play them. However samsung wave 3 and galaxy w is unable to decode them properly, they are decoding HE-AAC as LC-AAC
have u tried using another music player from playstore ?

Players with its own codecs will play the file.. ie players like jetaudio, but players (ie MIUI or doubletwist) which use decoder that built in stockROM will not be able to decode HE-AAC files properly, they decode them as LC-AAC. Is there any fix available for the inbuilt decoder in stock ROM. I am using Jetaudiopro now to play tracks. I absolutely hate MP3 files, AAC audio is much cleaner and Opus codec is much better. Sadly, the only player that support Opus playback is rockbox for android.
i guess ull have to contact any dev thats interested in audio codecs so he tries to implement ur desired codec into a rom (or figure out a mod that can b applied in any desired rom )

Hi, I dont know if anyone else is facing this same issue. The music player seems to recognize all media files including video mp4 files, it happens on stock rom and also on custom roms i ran. It also includes other junk files like ringtones and so on. is there any way to limit the music player to recognize only valid mp3 files or play files only from a certain folder? ive also downloaded a few music players like Apollo and playerpro and they are also facing the same issue. Thanks for your help

your Music Player will show every playable file in your phone.
atleast I don't know If there is anyway to limit music player to only show mp3 files..
The Alternate way I can suggest u that
place all unwanted ringtones in a folder and create a file
Named as ".nomedia"(without quotes) in the same folder.
This can tell the music player that the folder having ringtones have no playable files in it.
And the player will not show these ringtones.
u can do the same for mp4 files.
