Hey,
I'm looking for a good costume rom 4.1.2 at least.
The most important feature is the battery, good battery life.
Designed theme not like the stock rom, and not laggy rom.
Oh and by the way - how do I install recovery or a rooted device locked bootloader. (4.1.2 .96)
Thanks !!

Its full stock kernel! No some changes. Only double recovery added. Because of it Wi-Fi is fully stock!
Bugs!
Here are some of the bugs I found for the TWRP recovery (I don't know if it's just me):
- When selecting the flash zip from memory option (I forgot the real option name as I went back to cobrato's stock modified kernel), phone completely freezes
- Using external/internal memory for USB storage does not work
That's all I can remember I guess... Thanks!

I'm also asking cobrato to update his modified kernel
I sent him the kernel.sin file to update it fast.
EDIT: To the developer of this kernel, if you want kernel.sin also...

I can't post in the development section so that's why I'm posting here. I just flashed Fusion 5.5 kernel on my arc S. It all went well, I used flashboot mod, like this
watch?v=Yxh14h7ennY
Same way. But I'm stuck at the fusion start logo, for like 10 min.
If You Flashed v4.X Or You Reverted To Any Other Kernel After Flashing v4.X,You Have To Wait For Sometime (Don't Panic!) In Order To Boot In Successfully.

So by what You said, You are on Stock 6.2.b.1.96 firmware and are rooted. If yes, then only follow the following instructions.
1) Recovery for Locked Bootloader
2) Best ROM with minimum bugs: [ROM][JB][LB,UB] eXistenZ Ultra 2.0.5 | Honami Camera & more

Hello,
I have a Galaxy S4 Mini LTE version and installed Carbon ROM Kitkat 4.4.4 from F4k (this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2642488).
Now I installed Tasker from the Playshop. I want to do a call forward with Tasker (triggered ny NFC).
when the task is started (manually of by the NFC app), Tasker claims that call forwarding was correctly done. However, call forwarding is not set up as it should, it seems that nothing actually happened with the telephone itself.
What could that be? possibly KK 4.4.4 is too restriced now?
Maby somebody has an idea, I searched and did not find a solution yet.
Cheers, Frank
You should ask to carbon developer they may have an answer for you... Btw remember carbon rom is a custom rom and they could have some bug.. You should try an stock kk 4.4.2 for your model..

okeydokoey, so you just use the kernel which comes with the stock ROM? Or do you use another kernel?
I thought, that root is not really possible with the kernel of the stock ROM.

Thanks for your feedback. I was waiting for a new kernel for KK4.4.2 of Stock ROM.
I will first try Stock ROM 4.2.2 to see, whether my original problem is solved by that. If so, than I may try version 4.4.2, need to check how I can install that on my phone. . .

Yup, it is somewhat same, except the kernel doesn't have inbuilt recovery. You can do it without PC, provided You have a working TWRP. So instead of flashing the first carbon boot.img, just do the steps after step 7.
If i do this without PC my phone wouldnt have a inbuilt kernel recovery? And in reverse ?
This option is really important ? Steps 1-7 are for people who have blocked bootloader and they install software with cwm or twrp yea :3?
This CM 12 is final version not beta ?

If You had flashed the recovery to fotakernel (i.e. by process similar to this method) then You will retain Your recovery. The CM12 ROM kernel doesn't have inbuilt recovery.
Steps 1 to 7 are for people who don't have recovery.
All the steps require unlocked bootloader. You cannot install Kitkat or Lollipop ROM's on locked bootloader on Xperia S.
Current CM12 version is beta, there won't be a final version, as even CM is under development, Our device is not supported officially and new feature are always introduced.
Also, once You unlock bootloader, there is no need to unlock it again, even if You flash the stock firmware.
Thread starter asked for a stable rom. CM12 has a long way to go before being stable.
