[Q] (Q) Kitkat ROM like / based on Dr. Ketan 6.1? n7100 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, there's so many roms out there, I was just wondering if anyone knew of one which is similar to Dr. Ketans 6.1 ROM for n7100?
I use it at the moment and have no issues with it although I would like to upgrade to Kitkat and since Dr. Ketan no longer supports the n7100, I was hoping that someone could tell me if anyone has continued his work or based newer roms around his?
Sorry if I'm not making sense, it was my 30th birthday yesterday and I am still recovering. Lol.
Thanks.

Official KitKat just came out... so there will be new more stable roms coming in the next weeks. Try some of them out.
Previous good roms were Hurricane and Revolution... guessing they will continue on with KitKat now.
Good luck!

[Q] Need advice RE: KitKat ROM for Galaxy Ace 2 GT-i8160

Sorry if this has been asked many times in the past, but I cannot find anyone asking recently...
My girlfriend has the official jellybean 4.1.2 installed on her UK Ace 2 GT-i8160, but it often freezes up or lags when doing simple tasks... she was thinking of getting me to downgrade it back to gingerbread, but I wondered if getting one of the kitkat roms would be better?
The requirements are simple.... the most stable and reliable kitkat rom for a UK Ace 2 GT-i8160.
I've been reading and searching the forums for the last couple hours... but I just keep getting more and more confused.
Can anyone help?
EDIT/UPDATE:
CM11 looks like it's the most worked on mod, but I'm confused as to why there are so many 'stable' and 'fully working' releases, when the next update lists a few fixes... so it obviously wasn't 'fully working'? :S
Is the last version of 4.4.3 more stable than the latest 4.4.4? or perhaps a lower version than that?
Or perhaps CM10.2 would be better? - as I stated above, I just want the phone to be as stable and reliable as possible... the official jellybean rom is a joke, and gingerbread wasn't much better.
No replies, but ok...
I've spent about 10 hours reading threads about different roms, but it would have been nice if someone could have pointed me in the right direction to save some of that time. If anyone else is wanting the most stable custom ROM for their Ace 2, go for 4.3.1 TeamCanjica CyanogenMod 10.2.
I've just installed it and it works like a dream so far... like getting a brand new phone
Doesn't even need to be rooted, very simple to install through the standard recovery menu.

Click to collapse
thanks, will try out as i also faced the same issues after upgraded to jellybean.:good:
Most stable KitKat ROM for Ace 2 is AOSP ROM. No Custom ROM can beat its stability....

[q] lolipop update

Salutations! Im wondering if it is a good idea for me to upgrade to Lolipop on the galaxy Tab S T800. Right now I am running stock rom, only because I still havent figured out how to get some good custom roms on my the device. My biggest concern though in upgrading is losing the ability to be able to use customs roms in the future if i choose to do so. I am still frustrated for updating my Galaxy s4 and having to use safestrap and being limited with which roms I could install. Is this a similar situation, that I will face if I do the upgrade. Also I havent found any good youtube vids walking me through how to get some good customs roms on the tab S.
Kind Regards!
Not much roms makers this days for our devices. Well IMO its ok to update to lollipop because the Rom is smooth makes everything snappy. As said in the thread there were those who are able to downgrade back to kitkat for some reason, so your bootloader wont be locked. And just wait lollipop roms will pop out soon

Can anyone enlighten my view on this phone?

Hello, name's Mike, have been in the android side for a while and it's my first time actually owning an US version of a phone, the N900T (T-Mobile Note 3) running 5.0 stock TW. (I don't live in the US)
So please, enlighten me!
ROOT AND RECOVERY
I have tried to root it and did it successfully, however when I tried to get a custom recovery on it, I only got boot loops so far, tried various tutorials, none of them have yet worked out for me.
CUSTOM ROMS
Are there any current custom rom development for this phone? I've seen lots of KK roms but I was looking to get a stable lollipop AOSP like rom like CM12 but without crashes or battery drain. Does anyone know any good roms that are stable?
PORTING
Also! How do you port a N9005 rom to a 900T? I've seen some methods by flashing a BT+Wifi fix or something like that but it seems outdated and I don't want to brick my phone just yet.
Please, please help me out, I am really out of it. Used to Custom rom on a Huawei U8650, Galaxy S2 and on my G2, but this is harder due to it being a carrier phone.
Thanks for your comprehension.
Did you download the right TWRP? Get the tar file and odin it.

Did you check the N900T development forum? There is quite a few to select from. I.E. Slim

Im getting one later today that has rooted Morom 6.5 Android 5.0 up there already on the galaxy note 4 verizon developer edition, can someone point me to the right direct or advice where i can downgrade it?
I love kitkat, and i dont want no lolipop , if someone can point where i can just put a clean NJ5 KITKAT firmware thats already rooted, or if anyone can recommend me a CM ( CM roms used to be my favorite in s3 and 4 days.. cleanest roms ever) or something thats actually kitkat but no bloatware etc and runs smoothly/faster near stock android.
sorry if this been asnwered before but all i can find is lolipop all over the note 4, and there is a high chance im blind! lol
