Got the Black Carbon Fiber XO Skins for mine and my wife's gnexs. Shipping took 2 days. The install for these are SUPER easy. Unlike with the clear, you don't have to worry about dust and if you mess up anywhere, you just peel it back and stick it back on. I also used a blow drier to make sure it was all stuck just right. I won't be using a case anymore, just the carbon fiber and the clear screen protector for the front. These have a texture to them and aren't the cheap ones that are printed on ebay

Skin on the front? Or do you mean a screen protector?
@OP, it looks great! Hope it won't leave any sticky residue when after it's being removed.

I was tempted to buy this, then I remembered that I have a pretty good hard case. If I had gotten this, there was no way it'd actually fit in the case.

Sorry, by skin I mean I am using their screen protector. The carbon fiber covers the sides and the back. They say they don't leave anything sticky behind.

Anyone get a Red or Blue that can post a pic so I can add it?

I would love a skin like this but that also adds some protection, something between this and a silicone case.

Any comments now that you've had this on for a few months? Any peeling at all? Any scratching, dent/nicks, etc? Getting sick of my case and thinking about ditching it for this. Obviously won't provide drop protection, but I want the scratch protection without having to use one the horrid clear ones.

Still looks good. I haven't dropped it on asphalt or anything, but it seems to hold up well.

It also has a slight texture, I have tried other carbon fiber before that was just slick.

I got this skin about 5 months ago. No pealing, though at first it wouldn't stick on the lower beveled edge; I had to hold it on for around 15 min real pain in the ass. I was also fooled into thinking it would completely cover the back of my phone, no slits just 2 pieces it is in fact 5 pieces with gaps. Very disappointed with the appearance.
That being said its a tough skin and I rarely use my case anymore.

I posted 2 in the original post. I would post some more for you but I now have the SGS3. It helps when you install to use a blow drier on the fiber. It seems to kind of melt it down to the phone

[Pics] Galaxy Nexus white and black case

after searching for a good white and black case for the LTE nexus. i caved in a bought two incipio cases to form one case.
i bought the black and black, and white and grey cases to form the black and white case. totally worth it
im uploading some pics to show just how good this case combo is as i have yet to see any pics on how this case looks in white and black.

I have seen quite a few black and white cases on eBay just fyi. And some do fit the LTE nexus.

I have the same one as the OP (but it's grey). I hate it. It's too big for the GSM Nexus. Obviously designed for the Verizon version (but of course isn't mentioned in the product listing). It's sitting in a drawer somewhere.

Actually, that looks really nice. I've got the Incipio Silicrylic in black, I prefer it to the Otterbox Commuter. I think I actually prefer the gray and white to black and white, it must be said.
I just noticed the gray and white is on offer... Hmmm. I might be tempted to get one.

I am using this case now (white and grey) and have had it on my phone since I bought, almost 2 months ago. I am looking for a new case to replace this one cause I really just don't like it. It doesn't fit very well with extended battery, but I knew that when I bought it.
The real problem is the case is brown now, lol. The white stayed that color for about a week. That and one of the corners has a hole in it from taking the top piece off and putting it back on a few times. I had the same case on my Thunderbolt and the corner did the same thing.

Leave the back in bleach for about 12 hours, good as new. Happened to me and it looked so weird to have brown on a white case.

[CASES] Sleek hard-case case with lens protection

I got my HOX a week ago and I feel like the lens needs protecting if I want to lay it on the back, which I do all the time (who would lay it on the front, duh?).
I bought one simple silicon case, which works but as usual it draws dust to it pretty fast.
I looked at the Cruzerlite Androidified A2 TPU Case, it was very sleek and good looking, though it didn't protect the lens enough.
So yeah, anyone that can recommend one?
It doesn't need to have like a plastic cover over the lens. I just want to be able to put the phone on the back without the lens touching the table.

Looks like it protects the camera. Definitely an alternative, thx!

I have just aquired my One X and I got this case for it LINK. You don't really notice it's there as it sits really snug to the phone, is raised around the camera lens, and has a cool texture to the case. Comes with a screen protector too :good:

Amazing prices and very low freight! Ordered both the case you suggested (which looked awesome) and this. I also ordered a MHL adapter thingy so I can connect it to my tv. All that + freight for just about 37 dollar

I make a mistake of buying a white nikkin case last time. It look really nice when new but ni way to clean it

I wouldn't blame it on nilkin. Everyone knows that white plastic gets yellow and or dirty fast. That is why I ordered the black and the rainbow

I have ordered this..polycarbonate, looks great with a pearl finish , minimalistic n comes with 6 months warranty..n being polycarbonate its very easy to clean n looks stunning..
Nillkin case has a textured finish..so dust n grime accumulate in those tiny holes n its almost impossiblebto clean..that's y I don't Like it all..

Bumper Case + Backplate Combo

Hello everyone,
I really liked the bumper idea, however i didn't feel like spending nearly $100 on a bumper (not yet, anyway).

It looks nowhere near as good as the Draco one, however it does look very nice. It seems to be protective, I've dropped it a couple times and it hasn't gotten severely scratched. No damage to the phone. At $12 it's pretty decent protection. It'll get scratched, but you can easily/cheapily replace it.
Though, I got bored with just the bumper (I get bored way too easily) so I decided to try to get a backplate as well.

I bought a blue one, a black one, and a red one to match my outfit. I also bought more bumper colors as well.
The challenge:
Apparently this backplate was a few millimeters thicker than the original. 2-3mm, maybe more. This made getting the bumper on a real challenge, and because of it I messed up my Invisible Shield HD (you'll see what I did in the pic :/). However, once you can actually get it on (takes patience and time) it looks really great. It feels good, too. Feels really really secure.
Drops/Protection:
To start off, the back cover does get scratched. It's really shiny, so they kind of show depending on what color you get. I got a bright red, I've kept it in good condition. For only $7, you could just replace it if it gets too scratched up. Moving on, the bumper seems to be a good protector as well. It's very secure, feels sturdy. I dropped it off the table and it bounced (it was on a thin carpet at a restaurant). No damage. Went ahead and did it again just to show the person I was with, worked pretty well.

Im a fan of the bumper w/alt back cover look aswell.
Front was still red when I took the pics, that why no frontal shot on the white/green combo. Doesn't have the same look without the white front. Lol
For bumpers I've got black, green and silver. Waiting on my blue and red still. Battery covers I've stock, stock wrapped in carbon fiber which I want to rewrap to recreate the moto RAZR HD carbon fiber design , red "croc" leather, n dual metal panels in green/white. With a bunch more on the way

I actually got all my battery covers from amazon. Usually thru seller handheld items. Takes about 3-4 weeks to arrive if ordered thru them

Real wood backed cases

So I saw this on Amazon and am very tempted to check it out. Some reviews for an older version say its not very well made but this looks like a revised version. Anyone got one? Love the official wood backs on the moto x but they aren't available in the UK.

So my case finally arrived from boxwave. Its very well made, it has a silky texture on the plastic edges and the back has a rubbery feel texture over the bamboo. All the cut outs are precise and neat, boxwave logo even looks pretty good. It snaps firmly onto the phone and I think it looks really premium.
The plastic is slightly raised above the screen at the front, leaves the top and bottom open like a lot of hard cases.

My coworker has that case on his Nexus 4. It's pretty nice. I just don't like the logo on there.

Ha very true! Also I read that all bamboo dies after about 10 years because it is degraded from the inside out by a fungus.

I'd go for Cocobolo Burl. Coolest looking wood I've ever seen. Of course it's super rare and probably costs more than gold haha.

Yeah that stuff looks amazing! Very regal, type of thing you'd find on a baroque period dresser or something. I think really I want a moto X but moto maker (which you use to order custom colours and wood backs) is USA only right now.

Yeah, if they made a case out of that, I would jump on it so quickly.
I want to like Motorola, but after the hellish experience/treatment/neglect/no updates/etc I had with the Atrix 4G, where they just abandoned it after less than a year and pretended it didn't exist.... I don't think I'll ever buy another Motorola phone ever again. That cost so much (bought outright) and was so disappointing, it just turned me off to them (they do have the best USB cables out there though!).
