there is also jedi master 18 if you prefer 4.1 bootloader
I'm running X2 as well, with AGNi kernel. I have tried a few others, but keep going back to Jedi. It's not perfect, but it seems with the Note 2, nothing is, at least if you need WiFi calling. Battery life wasn't great until I switched to a different kernel.
I liked the x2 also but I had a problem with my hotspot not working it wouldnt turn on for me

AGNi kernel for the Note 2. Seems to work well. I wouldn't say battery life is tremendously improved, but it is better. I almost couldn't get through a day with whatever kernel is in the X2 ROM. AGNi I seem to have about 20-30% left at the end of the day.

Hey so I recently tried cyanogenmod 10 nightly for T-Mobile. It is such a beautiful rom. But after I watch like an episode of my Korean drama I lose like 30%!!! Its to crazy.. I was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a nice/cool rom with an excellent battery life comment !

It doesnt always depend on rom it depends also of ur settings and usage..

As for better battery life, you'll have to try one of the many TouchWiz Roms. CM10 is still in beta hence horrible battery life. Try turning off unnecessary syncing and decrease screen brightness for improved battery life.
My settings such as WiFi is always off. I don't really know what else to turn off. I also turn GPS off.

FrostyICS has my vote. V1 in particular. (V2 was a bit less battery friendly for me, and i have yet to try V3)
So far today I am at 13 hrs, 4 hrs of playing music (local not streaming), 2hrs screen on, and currently w/ 34% left with default sync settings. Of course YMMV as all phones behave differently.
You should do good with pretty much any Touchwiz based ICS rom. They are all good and each have their own strengths. Just check the features of each OP and try the one that sounds more like your ideal rom. Also read the last few pages to see if there are any current issues which are dealbreakers for you.
You really can't go wrong with any of them!

Looking to update from darkside v4. Starting to get some instability. Want to keep WiFi calling, so that leaves ics roms. Thinking Jedi or infamous. Or is there a jb rom leak with wifi calling?
Been reading the jedi trick and x3 threads, which is more stable? Seems to be still updating.
How is infamous vs gs?
Appreciate any insights.

I'm in the same "wifi calling" boat. I recently installed the Jedi Knight 5 ROM and I cannot say enough great things about it. I used TWRP to install it and it went smooth as silk. Great battery life, very speedy, and well polished. There is also a new kernel, JediKernel_2, out that works great with it too.

Jedi mind trick x3 is better in my opinion.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I preferred Jedi Knight over Mind Trick, but must admit I haven't used X2 or X3. Mind Trick seemed more stable for me, and JK seemed laggy and slow but I think that may have been from using App2Zip when upgrading from JK4 to JK5... which didn't work out so well for me (lots of corrupt programs I had to reinstall, luckily I also backed up with TiB). Had great battery life with JK though, lasting 2 days with light use.
I would say that Jedi knight 5 is more stable especially for Wi-Fi calling. On Jedi mind trick x3, because it's using 4.03, I get a delay on the Wi-Fi calling. With Jedi knight, 4.04, T-Mobile made some improvements in Wi-Fi calling and there is absolutely no delay and calls actually sound much crisper. Just my observations

Well if you want both your gonna have to run the stock rom for now with the latest ota. For the best kernel I really like asylumcore. Also in the n7100 forums you can find the neak kernel. Its very nicely featured and on a bunch of samsung devices.
You should try the Jedi X Series if you don'y care about WiFi Calling, and Jedi Master Series if you do. Trust me, it's amazing!

My phone drains 0.2-0.3% per hour on the stock kernel (on wifi with a decent router). The TW custom kernels are not worth using, in my opinion. Now AOSP on the other hand... yikes. Pretty much have to use them.

I'm running HyperDrive Rom and Ktoonsez Kernel. I have tweaked much of the cpu frequencies and used the ktoon governor. However, my battery life compared to the stock rom isn't that great.
Every phone is different so will run different on your phone. I do recommend Dandroid. It now has wifi calling. Complete based on T999. It used to be a port. It's super smooth with great battery life. And it's Cyanogenmod themed.

There are no "best" rom/kernel combinations for battery. It varies from phone to phone. You could try testing different TouchWiz roms and kernels, but remember to make a nandroid before doing so. Some roms you could try are wicked, stockorama, hyperdrive, etc. For the kernels you should use the stock kernel for stability or ktoonsez.

I'm glad you posted this as, I too, have been using the Temasek ROM for the last couple of days.
I have had some minor problems with the camera and the proximity sensor red light staying on. After trying a couple of different camera apps I think I found one that works good so far. As far as the red light, are you having the same issue? For me, the proximity sensor works well, its just the light that's bugging me. My battery life is worse and I'm thinking it's due to that red light.
I have read the thread and I want to switch to devil kernel to see if that resolves the issue and maybe get better battery life. Are you on the 3.0.64-W03kernel? How's your battey life so far?
As you can tell I'm new to XDA and new to flashing/ROMs. Going from stock ROM to this has practically blown my mind. Besides the minor issues I've had, the Temasek ROM runs real smooth and I cant even imagine using my phone without it.
Temasek has terrible battery life - not only drains fast it refuses to charge except very slowly. Used both original kernel and devil's, didn't make much difference. Have not tested fit proximity; saved in a backup for future. Back to DN3 TW rom.

Been running this Rom for a few days now, I thought I would report. Battery life is fairly consistent for my phone hardware/software setup, across most of the aosp roms, I'm getting about 3.5 hours of screen time.
No reboots, or hangs as of yet. My only complaint is the always on red proximity sensor, but that's a known issue
This is a good feature packed package, running well
