Hello,
sadly I can not install ROMs via the FlashTool.1.0.54, I think because the LG Mobile Support Tool (B2CAppSetup.exe) upgrades itself to the latest version..
So, I open the FlashTool after WindowsEnabler.exe (turned on), open the official Hungarian or European kdz file, set the settings (3GQCT, tried CS_EMERGENCY and EMERGENCY options too), then Normal Web Upgrade Test, Upgrade Start button, but then I see the newest LG Mobile Support Tool 1.7.1.0, not the modded version with "Clear phone registry" button, see the attached pic..
Please help what to try next, the phone upgraded the Android via the Support Tool to the latest F180L20t version..
Have to revert it back to original F180L20H_00 ROM first to make it E975?
Or could I try the CWM method or another recovery tool?
Everything is working now.
I have found a Hungarian forum with a method for KDZ installing (for LG G2) and worked:
http://prohardver.hu/tema/re_lg_g2_tapogatnivalo_hatso/index.html
(had to use another B2C program, rewrite the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts with 127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com IP address to make it offline)
Was hard to found a good baseband too, this one is working for my F180L:
https://mega.co.nz/#!L54n3TjD!GF5xgTzYX1BslEzVMU9QHkQ6SKZsAOZIMEBtNR2udCw
Almost everything is working but the sensors (proxymity, gyro and such as)..
They are working for some minutes (sometimes less) then like they are turned off.. can be a ROM problem, or energy saving thing?
Still European (Hungarian) E975 ROM on F180L

With a sensor monitoring app it seems like sensors are working until something is loaded into the Android system (if the EFS partition needs time then that) and then just like sensors are turned off 30-50 seconds after phone restart..
If FreeGee EFS restoring is the problem, how to correct it?
Or this phone is bricked now?
EFS partition or baseband has the sensor informations?
Please send me F180L working basebands! :cyclops:
Sadly nobody replies, I will send back the phone to China tomorrow..
I like the phone, but I can not use it without the sensors..
Reverting back to original F180L ROM didn't help.
My advice: DO NOT convert F180L to E975, use the Korean software if you buy this phone!
It saddens me that no one has answered your thread.
My phone's sensors stopped working as well, after over 4 months of usage as e975 european version.
I've installed an app called GreenPower and my sensors died since.
Still looking for a fix, good luck!

I have the same problem, most of sensors work except for my gyro and accelerometer. I am beginning to think its a hardware issue but sometimes they work for a short amount of time. However I have found when I change the runtime from davlik to ART in the developers options, my sensors work for maybe an hour or so but then stop.
why you guys tried to convert?
There are diferences between models and you should never try such a thing. Battery may have different mAh, so the gauge can point wrong values, baseband between countries are different.... the best way to try to revert the craziness you made, is to put phone in download mode and use the upgrade recovery feature of LG Mobile tool. It will download the latest original version for your model and reflash it completely. If it doesn't work, your flash method touched files in partitions that the normal way wouldn't touch, and you will have to try to find what files were touched in what partitions. This is because the internal partition table may vary from model to model, the location and sizes can be different and so their mount points, so it can potentially brick the phone in a way that only LG can make it work again. Good luck!

You said that saddens you the fact that nobody answered this question. Of course nobody would, i think that maybe you are basically the only ones that tried a thing like that, so nobody else knows how to recover from this, you made a Frankenstein of your phone!

lgflashtool.org
1. Put your phone into download mode
2. Select Rom and go ahead
3. Always connect with 2.0 USB port
4. Always for Official ROM's available fromhttp://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=20

Hi,
I was working on "reincarnation" of F180L (20s) to E975 (actually EUR10h) for the last few days and I didn't find one 100% usable topic.
I had either Korean symbols/language and working signal or my language (CZE, ENG) and no signal - so I decided to have "Czech language with working signal".
I got the phone to working state yesterday, after reading about tens of topics and downloading about 7 GB of ROMs/basebands etc. and about 3 days of trying, combining, flashing, drinking a lot ... water only etc.
I put many topics into this one and I will hope it will helps to someone else.
Phone infomation (original):
F180L with 20s FW
HowTo "reincarnate":
1) Get KDZ file you would like to use - Stock Firmwares:
Link: LG Optimus G [E975] Roms/Kernels/Mods & Tools/Root (Daily Update) or Google
2) Get this package:
Link: F180LtoE975 (FlashTool and Root APK)
I RECOMMEND TO INSTALL THESE FILES/DOING FLASH ON THE COMPUTER WITH WIN XP OR IN WIN XP MODE (UNDER WIN7/8) (I had still PROGRAM NOT RESPONDING in WIN7 64bit - even in compatibility mode)
3) Install all files (3) from "F180LtoE975/KDZ_SW/KDZ Flasher.zip" archive - B2CApp, LGUnitedMobileDriver and MSXML and extract dir "FlashTool.1.0.54"
4) Switch off the phone - connect to USB
5) Turn the mobile on in DOWNLOAD MODE - phone is off and connected to USB - you see battery icon - now HOLD BOTH VOLUME BUTTONS (+/-) and POWER BUTTON (it takes about 3 seconds, then release - I tried to time it well many times, so be patient )
6) Look in the DEVICE MANAGER (in XPMode you have to connect the phone through upper bar first) and there should be "LG something" in MODEMS (if you don't see it then there is probably problem with drivers/connection - try to check points 1-5 again)
7) Now you have:
- downloaded your KDZ
- installed drivers and extracted folder "FlashTool"
- connected phone and DOWNLOAD MODE on it's screen
- "LG something" in DEVICE MANAGER-MODEMS
8) WIN7: in "FlashTool" folder set Compatibility Mode for both EXE files to WinXP SP3 first:
WinXP/WinXP Mode: just run as writen below :
- now run "WindowsEnabler" and click on icon in tray - you have to see ON icon in tray
- next run "UpTestEX" and set flash to (check image "01" for sure):
!DON'T BE RECKLESS AND CHECK YOUR SETTINGS BEFORE CLICKING ANY BUTTON!
----- TYPE: 3GQCT
----- PHONE MODE: CS_EMERGENCY
----- SELECT KDZ FILE: <CHOOSE YOUR KDZ>
----- NORMAL WEB UPGRADE TEST
----- UPGRADE START
- CHOOSE: DIFFERENT COUNTRY and language <WHICH ONE YOU WANT>
9) Wait and pray :
- phone should restart itself near the end (about 95%) - !IF YOU ARE FLASHING THE PHONE IN WINDOWS XP MODE THEN YOU HAVE TO CONNECT PHONE AGAIN THROUGH THE UPPER BAR IN WINXPM!
- you should se something like "FLASH COMPLETE/SUCCESSFULL" and "FINISH"
- it took about 25 minutes to me to complete whole process
- I recommend to do a HARD RESET of the phone after flashing
----- HOLD VOLUME DOWN (-) AND HOME KEY - THEN PRESS AND HOLD POWER BUTTON
----- release the buttons when you see LG logo (or try different timing/holding/releasing power button)
----- with POWER BUTTON confirm (twice) the reset
10) After boot your "reincarnated" F180L to E975 comes the part what took me 97% ot time to successfull "reincarnation" - get the signal (now you have iPod
- in the phone enable UNKNOWN SOURCES (in SETTINGS-SECURITY) and USB DEBUGGING (in SETTINGS-DEVELOPER OPTIONS)
- connect the phone to USB - choose MTP and wait for the phone to connect (you should see him in "MY COMPUTER" as a device E975)
- from archive "F180LtoE975" (downloaded at point 2) extact folder "ROOT_OK" and copy "FramaRoot-1.6.1.apk" to SDCARD
- through file manager in the phone run that "FRAMAROOT.APK" file and ROOT your phone - only GANDALF works for me fine
- restart the phone and find and there should be added SUPERUSER in apps (if it's not then install some SuperUser app from Google Play (I am using this one)
- for sure you can install RootChecker
- next install CMW/TWRP- FreeGee works very well
11) Now you should have:
- phone with FW you choose (for example E975 EUR10h - check in SETTINGS-ABOUT PHONE)
- ROOT checked and working
- wrong baseband = no signal
12) Download this file:
Link: F180LtoE975_BB
13) Extract folder "BaseBandF180L_OK" (there was no problem in WIN7 with this procedure) and then:
- connect the phone to USB in MTL MODE and copy "BASEBAND.IMG" to SDCARD ROOT
- check "DEVICE MANAGER-ADB INTERFACE-LG "something"" (it should be OK - only if hou have installed drivers in WinXPMode and you are connecting the phone in WIN7 then you have to install those 3 files from point 2 and 3 above)
- so if you see ADB Interface for LG, you copied the IMG file to SDCARD and your phones ROOT is OK then ...
- just run "FLASH_BASEBAND.BAT" and wait for restart
- now you should be asked for PIN (if you use it ) and you should get a signal
Phone infomation (reincarnated):
E945 with EUR10h/<YOUR CHOICE> FW with F180L baseband + OK SIGNAL + ROOT + CWM/TWRP
Hope it is works ... thanks to all who made topics which I read a which helped me a lot.
Thanks for even a small donation ... if there will be any ... there will be more experiments.
Sorry for your trouble and long thread, but it took 10 mins max to do it. Don't know what guides you all are reading all over the internet.
Instead of all this, simplest is
1. Flash kdz 10x less than 1GB
2. wipe the phone
3. Root the phone
4. Use freegee to unlock and get cwm/twrp
5. Flash modem for f180
All this in 10 mins

I'm facing the same problem too. My phone went dead few days ago. Suspected on the battery problem. My wife accidently drop my phone at 1mtr height and suddenly my phone went dead.
At first i suspect softbrick. So i try to flash f180l kdz but failed due to error. After reading in thread i notice dat u cannot flash any kdz more than 1gb. So i downloaded hongkong kdz and succesfully flash my phone. But my phone still cannot switch on.
So wat i do is, i open the case and remove battery and put it back. After dat magically i can open it but no signal. So i root and then freegee and afterwards flash f180l modem.
Finally its working like charm now.

Its true as you wrote...
It looks easy and I found these steps too but:
- many KDZ links didnt work
- I wasnt sure to use freegee (and didnt try, cause there is chance of hard brick) - only CWM/TWRP without freegee and that "killed phone"
- I downloaded about 9 basebands/modems for F180 and only one has worked
- thats why I wrote it so detailed - and with own links and in the one topic
If anyone could please verify edge usability on his/her rom for f180, there seems to be a special kdz / baseband which unlocks international edge on korean(f180) device. I am in dare need of edge since my gprs network signal die out, where as edge signal prevails on my other device using same sim. Or if theres some other way to unlock edge i would be thankful

You need to unlock bootloader for recovery.
There is a very good post here about how to extract your modem iv done that to use the latest if you don't want to use Houston's.
You see everything you need already in here, no need to go out and search and get into trouble.

Ur tutorial is too long hehe u should make it brief and comprehensive so newbies would understand well
Anyway, u missed the part to backup efs partition and restore it later as there is possibility to loose imei when flashing modem
Here is a simple guide
1.flash kdz
2.hard reset
3.root
4.unlock using freegee and install recovery
5.back up efs partitions just in case imei is lost after flashing modem
6.flash f180 modem
7.restore efs if needed and reboot...
Enjoy ur device!

i flashed my f180l to e975 months ago..and bricked it several times..but i always find a way to restore it.
it seemed hardbricking is non existent anymore when flashing roms.
my phone is now an LS970 after flashing the miui rom..which is great.

Just flashing modem doesn't do anything to imei. It's the other partitions that do those things.

Problem flashing Indian KDZ image
Hi has any one been able to download and flash the Indian KDZ file E97510E_00.KDZ
which is provided here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2320817
I have downloaded the file 5-6 times but i am getting error while the Flasher unpacks the file.
I have been able to flash European KDZ on my Phone but not the indian one.
Anyone faced similar problem or has any solution would be very helpful.
Thanks for this detailed guide! I am a n00b to Android and found it perfect. Agree with OP that many links/files in other posts are dead and it's confusing. Good to have it all in one place. Thanks :good:

1) if I have cyanogen, is there anything I have to do before installing this stock version?
2) after converting the phone, can I use roms for lg e975 for this phone?

Hello.
So my N7100 doesn't connect to mobile network. No voice calls, text messages or mobile internet. Wifi works just fine, although signal seems to be a little weaker (maybe just my imagination).
What I did and how it happened:
I got sick of Samsung being assholes and not pushing out software updates, so I decided to flash some custom ROM. I choose CM, because they had that "one click installation", so I didn't have to do a lot of work. After a week of using CM I decided that it sucks and wanted back my original android with all gimmicks from Samsung, mostly because battery life with CM was terrible, not even one day. And that's when everything went downhill. I downloaded and installed firmware for Baltic region, because I live here and I bought my phone here. From that moment my phone stopped being phone and evolved into wifi only tablet. After being very pissed and trying to flash couple different roms I gave up. Found my phones original box user manual and other papers. It turns out that my phone is made for Hungary region. So shop where I bought it must have imported wrong models (most likely cheaper for bigger profit). Flashing original for Hungary made firmware doesn't resolve this issue.
Guys, I really need help. I just want to return to stock - original firmware and reset flashing counter. Please help, and if possible in layman's terms...

Press *#06# and see if your EMEI is fine... If it says something like 000000000049 it seems to be bugged and you can try this solution:
I flashed the firmware N7100XXDMF2_N7100OLBDMD2_XME using ODIN PC and follow the below using root explorer:
- copy /efs/ to the sdcard
- delete /efs/
- reboot (after reboot I got the yellow recovery mode window floating over, no lock screen, and pressing power button turns the phone off directly)
- /efs/ will be autocreated again. copy the efs folder from the sd card to / (root explorer will tell you that the folder already exists and it will merge them)
- reboot
PS: I did not have an /efs/ backup before applying the above.

I saw from another post. Im going to try this too since Im having the same problem as you.
Find your ROM here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-N7100&pcode=CHE#firmware I selected Chile Entel, but you can choose your country and company, it is the original ROM and it should fix our problem, Im downloading the ROM by now.
To use Odin, just put your phone in download mode (vol up/down + home + power) and then plug in to your PC, open Odin and at "PDA" select your ROM, then put start and just wait a few minutes and it should be working again...
After this, you should make a back up of your EFS file using a root explorer and then flash with any ROM you want (Im trying Ditto 3, it seems to be a cool jelly bean) and after this flash, you should put your new EFS file... Just the problem that Im facing is how to put this backup since the EFS is a folder being readed all the time, so there should be a program to do this, but I cant figure this out yet.
My phone doesn't have any IMEI any more. "null/null" is value given by my phone after requesting IMEI. I already flashed original ROM, problem is still here.
About /efs/ I could backup it with "File Manager"app from google play, but I can't delete it, because it is in read only.

Hello guys , I am new LG mobile user(CURIOUS ONE)
I bought LG OPTIMUS G PRO F240L and installed miui because i loved its interface ...
when i tried to get back to the stock rom I followed.
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2420219
It was easy... but in the end I encountered problem named (BATTERY POWER IS LOW , Please recharge your phone (something similer) .
I found a solution , It was a simple trick
** just followed above thread **, after when the lg support tool opens. it checks mobile is connected ,after that i removed my usb cable from device.
Well this solved problem. But after few minutes of extraction of kdz , It gave error that "Cannot Connect to the Network" ... well it was solved automatically. simply moved that error dialog and under that the support tool was installing stock rom... everything was solved, I loved kitkat 4.4.2 on this BEAST.
I HOPE ABOVE EXPERIENCE HELPS OTHERS
but alas I just tried miui again on it.. and after using it for while I wanted to get back on stock rom...
now this time whole errors are different...
LOG FILE IS ATTACHED(support-log.txt)
I just copied it.. from support tool.. front end ui.
KINDLY SOME ONE HELP ME !!!!!.

Greetings,
General
I've been all over the Internet trying to gain access to more information about how to repair my LG G4. Well... Let's start from the beginning.
Story
I have an LG G4, it's old and I've had it for over 4-5 years now... I can't exactly remember how long I had it for. It still works, just needs a new battery and cable (cats chewed the cable and batteries don't last when you forget to disconnect them from the device, leave it plugged in for weeks and let it completely die for longer then a week).
I recently saw a video about the Pine phone and the fact that it was able to run a linux mobile distribution and when I looked into installing a custom OS into LG G4, it was possible... If I manually ported it myself.
I actually got fairly far using my Xubuntu system with configuring and compiling, the trouble I ran into was that I couldn't root or fastboot my device.
So, now here's where the problem began, I have a LG G4 factory reset and when I load up the Recovery mode, it brings up the android guy with their chest open and an exclamation mark in a yellow triangle, no message. After attempting to boot into recovery mode, I wait a little while and the phone automatically resets back to normal. When I use ADB to force the phone into fast boot, it skips it and starts the phone normally.
Now I'm on a mission to find a way to either fix the boot or flash the firmware (in hopes that it fixes the boot/recovery).
I have already tried:
Installing LGFlashTool
Versions, 2.0.1.6, 2.0.1.9, Year: 2014 and 2.0.2.5. Other than year 2014, the other ones were installed from LGFlashTool.com
Since Xubuntu can't run these files properly, I just ran them on my wife's Windows computer
I installed the LG Mobile Drivers and LGFlashTool had registered that it was the correct DLL but, it didn't seem to find the phone
Year 2014 LGFlashTool had found the phone but, I may have had the incorrect kdz file.
The Flash starts and the phone goes to firmware update, but the phone stops at zero and sits there while the program crashes saying that there was an error (in which no means to read, understand or locate the description of this error) and to try again by unplugging and removing the battery.
This version was downloaded from xda-developers.com
Conclusion
Once I can get into fastboot, I'll be able to root my phone and attempt to install the mobile OS I have ready.
Otherwise, I think I might be able to install a microSD card with the OS but, I don't think that will work if I can't get into the option to boot from a separate location (I believe that's called fastboot). But, then again... I think the phone needs to be rooted first... Then that brings me to the previous issue.
Details and Information
The phone details (as far as I see) are:
When I remove the battery I can see:
FCC ID: ZMFH810
IC ID: 2703C-H812
Model Number: LG-H812
I'm not exactly sure what KDZ file I got but the name is: PR H810PR10a_02.kdz, I also have the _04.kdz
I'm using H815 as my compile for the mobile OS, I may switch to H810 when I get back to that point.
Useless information: I still have the original leather backing... Removed from the phone because I didn't like it. If I find it, I can ship it to someone.
That's about it... I am very terrible about research and using Google properly (I have no idea why, I think it's a terrible flaw to have but, I have it). So, if you find the solution by typing words I didn't use or finding a similar post, I am very sorry. Hope I have everything posted here to help solve the issue, linking to posts that can resolve the issue or posting questions on what I might be missing will help.
Thanks in advance for the support of this community,

Greetings,

Well first of all you need to unlock your phone. H812 can't be unlocked officially though. Check my sig for the only unofficial one. Once unlocked you can flash custom ROMs but first of all you should read about ARB (antirollback) also in my sig and ensure you understand the risks all this brings. Gl.

Thanks for the positive feedback, I will attempt to fix my phone with your solution. This phone is technically almost garbage and when I fully update the phone, it runs like trash. So, if I can install a custom ROM, it may run a little better or have the tools I would personally like in a phone.
I'll let you know the details of my attempt,
Lilrock

Which is included in mAid (https://maid.binbash.rocks).. ... Even with a UI...
Thank you very much with your support. I was able to unlock, bootloader and install the image installer.
I'm on the verge of compiling and installing Ubuntu Touch on my LG G4 H812.
Hope you guys proceed with everything you're doing right!
Hi guys!
Here's a little trick, if someone might not get the Android 12 OTA update: the update is already on the official website, but for some reason the interface wasn't edited, or I don't know... So, if you rewrite the version number in the download link, the download will start. XD
EU: https://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe/NX669J/V510/NX669J-update.zip
North America & Asia: https://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe&Asia/NX669J/V610/NX669J-update.zip
I completely reset the phone before that, with Mitool, in EDL mode. Everything works, 5Ghz Wifi, Volte, etc., so far I have not experienced any errors. The interface looks smoother, but that might just be because of the clean phone. I like the new Gamespace much better. If you don't like it or if you find errors, you can use the Mitool-EDL method to revert to any previous version.
The update was pulled from OTA due to bugs - some users experienced boot loops that required full reset (you did that anyhow).
In my case, I've had cellular network issues where it appears the device disconnects from the network when on WiFi - phone calls are no longer received and legacy SMS/MMS won't send/receive until WiFi is disabled or the SIM is toggled off/on.
An update is apparently on its way, but it's been over 3 weeks now.

Sorry, by everyone I meant not only those who are sent OTA. Android 12 has already been released for the 6R in China, so I think it will arrive soon for the 6R as well. :/

I did a completely clean update. I completely formatted it, deleted all partitions /even the "persist" by accident, but I managed to restore it, but that's another story/.
Then I reset the phone using the Mitool-EDL method and then updated the clean system to EUCommon-V5.10.
The only mistake is that it lists the battery as 3550 mah instead of 5050 mah.
What you write about not receiving calls on Wi-Fi, etc., also occurred to me on the V3.28 system. If I set the mobile network as preferred in the vowifi settings, the error disappeared. Now I haven't experienced this error, vowifi works normally even in wifi preferred mode.
So far, I have not experienced any errors apart from the incorrect listing of the battery, although I cannot test 5G because it is not yet installed at our place...:/

I doubt it since it took 7-9 months for the android 12 update to release globally for the RM6 & 6 pro after it came out in china.

I'll describe how I did it, but I can't promise that everything will work the same way for everyone. I don't know if there are hardware differences between each phone because I could only test it with mine /RM6P/. If someone tries it, do it at your own risk!
Be sure to save the "persist" partition before doing anything!!! Also save Qcn, these two are very important!!!
1. Backup partitions:
2. Backup Qcn:
3. /Optional/ Erase ALL:
After backup, I entered the partition manager in qfil, and after right-clicking, I clicked on "erase entire flash". But it's not absolutely necessary, but I definitely wanted a clean install. When I returned from Chinese Android 12 to EU 11 and didn't do this, the first time I started it, the phone setup got stuck in the wizard and wouldn't let me continue. From this I realized that the Mitool-EDL method alone does not completely clean the phone.
If you have completely reformatted the phone with qfil, you will need to restore the "persist" partition and Qcn with qfil after Mitool is finished. If you haven't formatted it completely, you don't need to restore it, but you should still have a backup of them, you never know when you'll need them, believe me!
4. And here is the description of the much talked about Mitool-EDL method:
RM6/6Pro Unbrick Tool - EDL Flash / Switch from CN to EU
Hello guys, I received the following unbrick tool from my supplier in Shenzhen - China and wanted to share it with you since I noticed that many people are desperate to fix their RM6 and swap it to EU. The process is super easy: 1) Download &...
forum.xda-developers.com
5. Update rom:
If you're done with Mitool, you download the ROM you want, copy it to the internal storage and install it with local update in system update!
I did it this way and still found no errors. (Except that it says the battery is 3550mah). I use the EU510.
After Mitool finished, any rom goes up with local update, I tried EU328, UN428, CN810, UN610 and EU510
This method did not require unlocking the bootloader.
According to my theory, I could root with qfil without opening the bootloader, but I haven't tested it yet. If I try it sometime, I will write about my experience.
Two more things:
1: The Firehose file is in the "image" folder of the Mitool pack, it is also needed for Qfil.
2: If someone wants to enter EDL mode from Fastboot after updating to Android 12, the phone will restart immediately. You have to make an Edl cable from a USB data cable, or buy one and use it to enter Edl mode.
It actually seems complicated, but the point is that the black/GND/ and green/data+/ wires have to be touched together while plugging the cable into the phone, and then after a few seconds they have to be separated from each other. The switched-off phone will thus immediately switch to Edl mode.

There's a new update on the Nubia download site for the RM6 - this is Android 12:
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
North America - v.6.12
https://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe%26Asia/NX669J/V612/NX669J-update.zip
Europe - v.5.12:
https://rom.download.nubia.com/Europe/NX669J/V512/NX669J-update.zip
I've installed v.6.12 on my NA RM6 and all is well so far. Cellular issues seem better if not resolved - need more time to confirm.

3.28/4.28 is still the last available version on the official website. The only problem with this trick of rewriting the version number in the download link is that we don't know what was fixed in each version...:/
