Hello, I tried to flash twrp recovery on my brothers Sprint LG G2. He has the spark update. Everything seemed fine but when I try to get into recovery mode it says Fastboot started and UDC after it. Now my question is how do I make sure he has a recovery, he wants to get hotspot MOD. Do I use Freegee to downgrade his aboot then flash the lokied twrp file? Or do I need to go back to stock to avoid bricking ?? Please advise!
Thank you !!
Use autorec to get recover (its in lg g2 general forums) and if that dont work you will have to .tot back to stock and use ioroot 25 to root and autorec for recovery

hi guys
so there i have a difficult situation on the e975
i flash avatar rom through cwm and after a while using it i decided to go back to stock rom through kdz updater from lg, ive done this several times in the past with no problems but this time it stuck on the lg animation, after that i decided to try teenybin so i can have a custom recovery to flash roms, the problem is that teenybin completly destroyed my phone, not even cant flash roms through sideload but the original/stock recovery has gone so i cant get to lg to fix it
so any way of help here?
i can access download mode and fastboot
(when i try the kdz updater while the phone is on download mode it jumps to fastboot and the updater cant do his job)

Try THIS tutorial to flash your kdz.. Also it's wierd because if you succesfully flash an kdz file (using any method) you should be completly (re)locked and unrooted.

i can barely remember what i was doing, im sorry
if you come from 4.4 you can flash through the lgspst from the teenybin thread the 975 kdz file by renaming it to bin, and then because you are with the ls970 dll file, you can root it, flash cwm through freegee then go to cwm and clear everything (data cache sddata system dalvik nothing else) and then go to download mode again and flash the original e975 kdz through the kdz updater, its a lengthy process but thats how i did it until i or someone else find another more short way

to flash a kdz with lg flash tool you dont need stock recovery... after flashing stock rom the stock recovery is back.
but why you want to leave twrp due to the fact that there are now aosp roms available? and if you want the lollipop on your g3 think about it because you will lose root and twrp for the next time...
i have a bricked sprint lg g2 (rooted) is there a way to fix it other than flash the 2 giga rom with lg tool because i am in an isolated area with very limited speed thank you
No, not really. Bricked, kind of limits it.
Only little thing I can think if for you was maybe if it went to stock recovery if you wanted to try adb side load of the same ROM you were on modem wise. Zvà or zvc. But that is no guarantee.

i think stock recovery will not install other than non modified stock rom (the official TOT file)
another question about the bricked g2
i have access to download mode the G2 is rooted moded but in stock rom 4.4.2 zvc no custom recovery no custom rom so the question is
can i force the lg mobile support tool to give me the zvd or the zve update from the net so that i return to a working state. thank you

I had the same issue, if you can boot into your rom then your only bet is to install AutoRec.apk and it will flash TWRP recovery. Get a recovery on there first, so you could at least intall a custom rom, until you get what you need. Do not wipe your device, because you won't be able to intall the drivers you need to get you out of your mess. If you want to go back to stock after you get a recovery on your device, you'll need the nessassary tools to flash the tot file, but the tot file takes a while to download and you said your connection was not good in your area. I have all the tools you need to flash back to stock, and I have ZVA, ZVC, and ZVE tot files. I could upload them to Mega for you, if you don't have a account then get one, they give you 50Gbs, free. Let me know.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/twrp-lg-g3s-beat-d722-d724-f470-tested-t2945283
evreything was fine until i tried to update the device via the OTA. Now it keeps booting into recovery.
Any ideas about how to fix this?

I've got a D855 that was bought in the UK and has been rooted using Kingroot and has TWRP installed with a patched bootloader. I now want to return the device to totally stock (Don't trust kingroot), i.e wiping and re flashing ALL partitions .
What would be the best way to do this:
LG Mobile Support tool
LGUP
LG flash tools v1.8
LG flash tool 2014
Some other method
EDIT: Is it possible to retain TWRP
Any help is much apprecitaed

Kingroot provides temporary root ..
Download supersu zip and permissive kernel zip
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1BuG90z-Y4AMTlVT2F6NWxKYUU/view?usp=drivesdk
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1BuG90z-Y4AcjV0bzRZWVFqZ0E/view?usp=drivesdk
Boot in twrp...flash the permissive zip...reboot to system....boot again to twrp ..flash supersu zip and reboot again ....done ..
No need to unroote your phone....

Thank you everyone for your help. In the end I decided to go with LG UP to return to complete stock (lollipop) and then used one click root and auto rec to re-install TWRP. However during this processes I managed to hard brick my phone by corrupting laf (download mode) and I actually managed to recover it without opening the device and shorting pins as would usually be required!
How I recovered by hardbricked D855
Hold the volume up button and plug the phone into the computer. In my case the phone tried to enter download mode (shows the screen with the text "Download mode" and several dots
This process will fail as there is no download mode to load and the phone screen with go black. Wait around 20 seconds and then press the Volume Up button again
Windows will now detect the phone as a high speed Qualcomm device and willcrackers recovery instructions can be followed to install drivers and recover the device
I'm not sure if this will work on all devices as software versions (if it does i'll be amazed) but if anyone is unfortunate to brick there device giving this ago first may help.
Thanks again and I hope my tip can help someone!
