Try this.
Since we have a new version of this mod you can use the last smali files for your other background.(com.potato.gradient)
And the new version for your statusbar (potato.mariozawa.statusbargradient)
The older version will use the color settings for 2 color mode only.:good:

How beautiful!
Thanks for your work!

Here is my navigation_bar.xml (from Xperia stock JB 4.3), so I think you need to put your widget line at red marked lines (twice)!

Must be able to decompile and recompile to do this MOD!
ICS is different then GB when it comes to decompiling some apks mainly the SystemUI.apk because of the classes dex! So do some research first!
Decompile the SystemUI.apk
Then go to res\layout find the tw_status_bar.xml
This MOD was done on using the DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION.3 [6.12.2012] [v1]ROM should be the same with most Samsung ICS ROMS! or damn close!
Here is the tw_status_bar.xml from the Darkside Rom
The line in red is the clock code
delete that entire line (line 17 in my case, may be different depending on your rom)
Code:

Recompile your work and enjoy!
But remember decompiling ICS is different mainly the SystemUI.apk so do your research first!!!!!!!
I attached my apk from the DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION.3 [6.12.2012] [v1] Rom that you can ADB push it to your phone
And I will take this one too
Stupid easy. Thank you!
From my T-Mobile Galaxy S II

It's in the SystemUI.apk
res/drawable
stat_sys_battery.xml
stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
Mod those then add you battery images

Or if you want take those files and all 204 battery images from my toxic theme and try it out then replace the instead with the ones you want

Yea but why would you do that?
I have a miui style battery bar at the top of my screen so the battery icon in the status bar is a bit redundant. Looks like the battery icon is also set in the tw_status_bar.xml?

Just delete line for battery in the tw status bar xml

Do you mean this line:
Code:
<ImageView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/battery" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
Deleting this line results in systemui FC after reboot.

SGNII JB THEMES ☆ SGSIII JB THEMES ☆ SGSIII ICS THEMES ☆ NEXUS PRIME JB THEME ☆ NEW CENTER CLOCK GUIDE ☆ JB TRANSPARENT STATUSBAR GUIDE
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Hi everyone!
I decided to share my godsend how to make center clock which works like a stock one i.e. w/o known issues
The solution is very easy: we only need to divide our statusbar (tw_status_bar.xml) inside LinearLayout android:id="@id/icons" into 3 LinearLayouts with existent android:id and defined android:layout_weight:
1. LinearLayout with android:layout_weight="1.0"
2. We must create new LinearLayout with android:id="@id/clock" and with unspecified android:layout_weight (i.e. "0" by default)
3. LinearLayout with android:id="@id/statusIcons" and android:layout_weight="1.0"
4. Edit layouts by your design
For example my NEW Center Clock:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.PhoneStatusBarView android:orientation="vertical" android:background="@drawable/status_bar_background" android:focusable="true" android:descendantFocusability="afterDescendants"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:systemui="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/com.android.systemui">
[COLOR="Green"]<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/icons" android:paddingLeft="1.0dip" android:paddingRight="1.0dip" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent">[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Blue"]<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1.0">
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.CarrierLabel android:gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/carrierLabel" android:background="#ff000000" android:paddingLeft="4.0dip" android:paddingRight="4.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:singleLine="true" />
<ImageView android:id="@id/doNotDisturbIcon" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/tw_dnd" android:alpha="0.7" android:scaleX="0.85" android:scaleY="0.85" />
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.StatusBarIconView android:id="@id/moreIcon" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="@dimen/status_bar_icon_size" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:src="@drawable/stat_notify_more" />
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.IconMerger android:gravity="center_vertical" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/notificationIcons" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" />
</LinearLayout>[/COLOR]
[COLOR="Red"] <LinearLayout android:gravity="center" android:orientation="horizontal" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:id="@id/clock">

</ImageSwitcher>
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.TickerView android:id="@id/tickerText" android:paddingTop="2.0dip" android:paddingRight="10.0dip" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_weight="1.0">

</com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.TickerView>
</LinearLayout>
</com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.PhoneStatusBarView>

The problem is:
1. you set 4 LinearLayout inside LinearLayout android:id="@id/icons" instead 3
2. you forgot to set correct android:layout_weight
3. you didn't set correct android:gravity inside LinearLayout android:id="@id/statusIcons"
Here's correct xml with your colour:
Code:

The problem is:
1. you set 4 LinearLayout inside LinearLayout android:id="@id/icons" instead 3
2. you forgot to set correct android:layout_weight
3. you didn't set correct android:gravity inside LinearLayout android:id="@id/statusIcons"

Your corrected version works like a charm
Many thanks for your time!
I go release Center clock add-on for my mod and I will investigate some time to check the differences between my old one and your corrected.
I'am still a bit noob on all those layouts design modding hehe, that's why I didn't do exactly what I always wanted to do like carrier at bottom, etc.
Maybe if I have an advice to give you is to make like some people did in their tutorials: like "search line : xxx" then delete xxxx, add xxxx exactly right after xxxx, (with showing all textx or lines), etc etc, should be more much more "noob proof" for people like me
Thanks again mate, I go add into my first post :good:
@raubkatze
This change work fine for me
Off topic!!
do you know how to modify transparent status bar on lock screen
i hope you once again taught me

You're welcome! And thanks for your advice! But for some reasons it is not possible to make such tutorial... There is general princip to make center clock bug free and I described it but every theme has its own design (not only images) and it's necessary to add, edit etc. layout parameters to make it work properly. So in this case we need to make it individually... unfortunatelly.
Btw you can always use google sources, for example LinearLayout.LayoutParams

Statusbar on lockscreen will transparent if you set it transparent on homescreen BUT... lockscreen wallpapers has its own resolution and this as far as I understand causes the problem with transparency. To be honest I didn't look for source yet... perhaps later

Reduce the resolution of pngs. Compare your old pngs resolution and change.
Good luck!

By the way, if you use @+id instead of @id, you don't have to edit ids.xml. Apktool will automatically do that for you.
How much to pay for all mods from this to m2 2303?
@spuri78
nice to see you did the next step ...
tested your tut and all is fine except the silent mode.
holding the power button shows the reboot menu with selection of silent, vibration and ringing mode.
vibration and ringing modes are fine, silent mode doesn´t work.
I checked your tut with @Rajeev 5Button Addon SystemUI and they are the same.
So in this Addon the silent mode won´t work too i think - just FYI

Thanks. Well, as far as my limited knowledge goes, there is no relation with silent mod and this tutorial. You know , silent mod does not work in deodexed roms. Only vibrate and normal mod does. I think only eXistenZ rom has silent mod working because of it's own Quick Settings toggles and serajr xperia xposed silent mod toggle also work. Sony stock roms do not have silent, vibrate and normal mod in Power menu. You have to add an overlay file to get that options in Power menu. In your system/vendor/overlay folder, you can find one overlay apk named "android-res-201.apk". So, that's the file to get extra option in Power Menu.
Hope this helps

[Guide][tut] [LP/MM] Hide/Enable Layouts (small apps, Icons, Nav and more) no smali

Hello guys here i would like to share a small mod
that is to hide layouts with no smali code edit
here i will explain in simple way on what you can hide/enable
Example:- you can hide/Enable from settings
Battery ( on statusbar /lockscreen )
CLock ( on Statusbar /Lockscreen)
Carrier lable ( on Lockscreen / Expanded)
Network /wifi icons
User Icon
IME switch
If you add any Power button ( on navigation bar )
Small apps on recents
Clear button
navigation buttons too
so based on need you can make hide and enable these things and many other with a Switch from settings ( no restart or Reboot )
So lets move to tut
Continued in Page 2 with example codes ( on how to add )
Main
Hello first dont confuse and read everything step by step
All you need is Settings and SystemUI deodexed
Settings.apk:-
1. Since you guys dont like to have a Rom control app
All you like to have in Stock settings
2. So First decompile your settings.apk
3. Follow this Guide (add Preferences to stock settings) by @bamzzz
4. After adding this you are ready and easy to add any settings
more mods with less work
Now SystemUI.apk:-
1. Decompile your apk and
2. Download this View attachment SystemUI.zip
3. Merge the code to your SystemUI.apk
Let me explain from here in small detail
so i want to hide battery so what i do is ( search for which layout it was )
Hide Battey
open SystemUi.apk/res/layout/system_icons.xml
in that the sony battery Code looks like this
Code:
<LinearLayout android:id="@id/somc_battery" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginStart="4.0dip">
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/status" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<LinearLayout android:id="@id/battery_meter" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/battery_icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/stamina_icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/battery_percent" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<com.sonymobile.systemui.statusbar.BatteryImage android:layout_gravity="start|center" android:id="@id/battery_percent_bg" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
</LinearLayout>
So this is one complete Layout of battery on statusbar
This is how the Code i add to hide / enable switch
Code:
[COLOR="Red"] <com.android.systemui.rz.LeftLayout android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" key="[COLOR="Blue"]battery_hide[/COLOR]">
[/COLOR]
<LinearLayout android:id="@id/somc_battery" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_marginStart="4.0dip">
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/status" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<LinearLayout android:id="@id/battery_meter" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/battery_icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
<ImageView android:layout_gravity="center_vertical" android:id="@id/stamina_icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
<FrameLayout android:id="@id/battery_percent" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<com.sonymobile.systemui.statusbar.BatteryImage android:layout_gravity="start|center" android:id="@id/battery_percent_bg" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</FrameLayout>
</LinearLayout>
[COLOR="red"] </com.android.systemui.rz.LeftLayout>[/COLOR]
See the Red lines are the Start and end points to hide the layout ( i am poor in explanation hope you got it )
and the Blue key is the one you need to remember.. which will be added in settings as switch key to enable or hide
in settings you need to add like this ( see the Blue Key )
that play the role
Code:
<SwitchPreference
android:title="HIDE STOCK BATTERY"
android:key="[COLOR="Blue"]battery_hide[/COLOR]"
android:defaultValue="true" />
if you are about to have any other layout to hide
Then use same red lines and
change the Blue key in both settings and in ui
When i get free time i will add all the layouts codes on how to add
For now follow this small example and try your own
Thanks to Vanya
If you used my work
Dont forget to mention me
Good luck guys
Please is it possible to make clock on expanded status bar has seconds?
Thank you master!
Awesome tutorials, Thank you
Nice, BUT Only LP/MM?Will it work on GB?

Want to know the code for the small app on MM
Interesting way to hide layouts but it works only with linear layouts.
If you want to hide something in a relative layout it won't work since all layouts have a position determined with others.
Good job anyway

Shouldn't be too much of an issue in a RelativeLayout, I think. You'd just need to add a new ID to the LeftLayout code and change the rest of the code to refer to that. Then it shouldn't matter whether the code inside the LeftLayout is visible or not.
@venkat kamesh
hi and thanks in advance for your great job , i have a question , is there any way to have this kind of systemui.apk s like flashable zip files to flash them throw recovery and not try this method cause i think its kind of long and complicated and i may have some sort of mistake in some steps
hi which file do you add this code
<SwitchPreference
android:title="HIDE STOCK BATTERY"
android:key="battery_hide"
android:defaultValue="true" />
do you have a location for that file? Thanks
