I defy you to be bricked the 2 days. Put in office the night the morning was completely blocked with the LED flashing green. I reinserted the battery and then turn on nos. I installed cynogem 7.1. By connecting to a PC is recognized for 2 seconds and then disconnects. I tried mcgiver mode but nothing is ever disconnected after 2 seconds. The battery is charged.
What can I do? help me please
Sorry for my english
Help me please
Try installing Froyo Official [don't use custom ROM until you get back to normal state]
and as you are saying, it disconnects after 2-3 seconds, probably your battery is done [not sure but you may check another battery]
so Install Froyo Official 2.2 [from Defy Android Development section] & hopefully you'll get your phone back in action.
PS: Defy can't be dead as far as it got locked bootloader
I have tried with other battery on a shop but don't turn on.
Try using some Universal Charger to charge your battery [or buy new one]
otherwise Best option would be to try it on some other PC, or change USB slot but trying on different PC will be good.
Hey i am having a similar problem. i just put CyanogenMod 7 on my defy and went to install the Google apps. All went good then rebooting i am now stuck on the Motorola logo. The led lights are not coming on it just sits there frozen. i have tried getting it into the boot menu and to use RSD lite but nothing is working. Please help as if freaking out.
1. Pull the battery, wait, and reinsert
2. Push and hold Volume Down button, tap the power button, while still holding the volume down. (This will boot you into the stock recovery)
3.Now, push both Volume Up, and Volume Down buttons to allow for more options than, just the triangle screen.
4. From Stock recovery, Wipe and Factory Reset.
5. Reboot once it is finished wiping
That's all I can say.
If still not work, head back to Quarx's CM7 thread & mention your problem there.
Just make sure you followed all directions properly.
PS: CM team have not officially released any ROM for DEFY, so this is MODs work, ask them further for any help.
Best of Luck
all good now after a hour of yelling at the phone i got boot loader to work.

Hello people,
I hope you can help me?
after I unlocked my ion in the root mode and the bootloader
I (which ran without any problems), I have (I think)
inadvertently (or better through their own stupidity)
instead of the boot.img here
use these
and on my written ion
comes shortly after the restart, the "sony" logo and then it restarts the whole is repeated several times are only a black screen is shown. the backlight is on. after about 5 minutes, the device switches itself off then.
when I connect it to the power supply, the LED turns red, just on the pc.
I'm not in the flash mode (green LED) still in fastboot (led blue)
I get it myself down again?, or should I send it?
ever thank you for your help!
PS: at the moment where the Sony logo appears on the screen I get a short USB Connect!

I'm afraid that you must somehow flash stock fw and stock kernel. For this use Emma or Flashtool. To install all necessary drivers you must install SUS.

The reason why i don't want to do it because if i did it my phone will be cheaper because it will called "Fixed Phone".
Now i got the first logo again while it's connected to the PC , i tried to press VOL- but flashtool didn't detect it and came dead again.
Maybe the next time i can get into recovery , but what can i do?

Now i get my phone on again , and i got into recovery and reboot it to fastboot , flashed stock kernel.sin.
Then i turned it on and it show sony logo then i did 3 vibrates to get it off to flash a stock rom but dead again.
Now i am thinking how to get to flashmode?

Edit 1: When it show Sony logo i tried to press VOL+ and connect the usb but no fastboot , the same with flash mode.
Edit 2: When it start rebooting wave again i tried to press VOL+ and - then it got stuck with black screen , Flashtool can detect it in USB debigging off mode and it can't be turned off with the 3 vibrates trick.
Edit 3: By removing the sim card the phone turned off. Now back to the first stage with only red led and after long time connecting to PC it show Sony logo then reboot.

I think: you should turn off but when it trying turning off it goes brick, get stuck... i dont know you have to turn off manual ( with disassemble) and connenct usb and vol up because now it cannot be in fastboot or flash mode. or you should leave it to full discharge than it will turn off but it may take several weeks.

No problem , thank you for trying help.
Charging for 10 hours , only red led.
while on a loop, press the volume down button and connect it to the PC. If it doesn't work, press power+vol up till it vibrates once keeping the vol down button pressed as well. if it goes into flashmode, forget everything and flash stock ftf.
on a red led situation, hold the vol down and connect it to PC. It will show no led but keep holding it for long, it will go into flashmode

I tried that to make it restart with one vibrate but no flashmode , i will try it again with holding the VOL- before i do the vibrate.
For the led when i connect it to the PC holding VOL- the red led apear , why?
**** **** **** **** **** **** me , whn it start the rebooting i pressed the VOL+ and = and the power bottom and it start to connect and dis connect again on MTP debugging off mode and after a while i got the green led and flash mode but the ftf waz compressed and while it's extracting the green led gone....
Fixed!!!!
This is small guide what to do:
1- Charge your phone with PC or wall charger until you get a stable red led (Stable led not flashing led) maybe that will take hours.
2- Now connect your phone to the PC , you will find the red led back again.
3- The idea now is that your phone will auto start after some time , you need to be holding the VOL- bottom before it start up that you can get a green led and you can flash the rom with flashtool.
Some times it got start up after like 4 minuits after you connect it to PC , and other times maybe it will take like 20 minuits to start. So you have to hold the VOL- bottom almost the time and there is no problem if you let the bottom for some seconds , but be carefull that it will suddenly boot up so you have to be holding the bottom.
If you success with rom flashing , connect your phone to the charger and wait until it will start first time and get dead , then start again normaly
Charge ur phone with wall charger (its faster than pc) until u get green led. After that, hold Vol - and connect the phone to pc.
HI guys,
Hoping you guys can help me. I have a HTC One X I picked up 2nd hand (apparently wouldn't charge). When I received it, I cleaned out the USB port (little bit of fluff) and plugged it into the charger... no light (expected).. I left it on and shortly after, a solid red light appeared..
After a little while on charge, the phone turned itself on but stayed on the 'HTC' splash screen and went no further. I tried powering it off completely so it would charge without draining battery or slowing the charge because the phone was on.. but every-time I tried turning it off (either holding Power button for several seconds until screen went black... or holding Vol Down + Power button for 10sec as some suggested) the phone would just reboot back to the HTC logo splash screen and stay there.
Eventually I got the screen off (not sure how) and continued to charge, then it came back on again... :/
I tried to boot into the 'Bootloader' to Factory Reset etc.. but I am unable to do so. Every-time I try, the phone would just reset back to the HTC screen.. even if I kept the Vol Down + Power button held down, the phone would just loop to that HTC screen...
As I type this, the phone is sitting, plugged in, Red LED Light Solid lit but phone on (stuck on HTC screen)... just wondering if anyone has any tips ?
Is it possible to reset the phone via ADB if I can't get into the Bootloader ?
Thanks in advance..
UPDATE: Somehow I managed to boot into the Bootloader, and by the looks of it, the previous owner rooted the phone as it have CWM v5.8.4.0 installed. Wiping Cashe, data, factory reset, Dalvick cache etc.. still no change, sits on the HTC splash screen.
i did notice in the Bootloader though, it said the battery was too low to flash .. so I guess I have to leave it on charge for longer to try flash the phone again (maybe previous owner borked the ROM installation or something?)... unless is there anything else I can do? Maybe with ADB ?
Mods, can you please delete this thread.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
My device is the LeEco Le One Pro (Stock rom, custom teamwin recovery, clockwork I think) right, and I had some charging issues, as to where the charging would disconnect every 5 seconds and then reconnect, and the only way I've found to fix this was just to turn off the phone and charge it, tho clearing cache works sometimes. I wanted to clear cache but held volume down instead of volume up to load into the recovery and the linux penguin showed up. I turned off the phone and now it won't turn on. Even when plugged in to a charger doesn't work, and it's not detected on the pc.
Any suggestions? I really wouldn't believe that the phone would brick itself for no apparent reason.
EDIT: All gud
