[Q] Phone freezes right after booting. How to get out of it? - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

My galaxy grand duos is freezing right after it boots, that is, it boots normally, I can see the lockscreen, but regardless of whether I do anything to the phone or not, it freezes in 5-6 seconds or less. I can manage to enter the password in that time, but it'll still freeze, I think it has something to do with Riptide GP 2, it was the last app installed, and after exiting the app, the phone froze, and when I tried to force reboot using the power button 5 second technique, it froze every time it rebooted in the same way, I was able to access the recovery a few times, but can't get there now. Odin also doesn't recognize the phone. It's like an absolute messed up situation. How to get out of it?
Also, i'm on Paranoid Android 4.1 Beta 2.

Update:
I removed the SD Card, the phone still freezes, but I get about 30 seconds now, idk if it's because of removing it. Uninstalled Riptide GP2 in the mean time. Still dunno what's causing the crash.
Update:
I wiped Dalvik, no use.
Had already wiped cache. Not planning to wipe data. :/
Update:
Wiped data.
Not crashing now.
What the hell just happened?
To prevent this from happening to myself or anyone else in the future, can someone still provide possible solutions?

Just don't use paranoid android.... As it is still in beta so go to sgg android development and you will find many better Rom than PA.

problems with force closing apps

i started getting this message 3 weeks ago. it just started out of nowhere. whenever i started my phone i got all my apps force closing. now it seems to be happening to me every time i restart or turn off my phone. i did have a nandroid backup from 1 month ago but it also gets the force closing error after it restarts.
i have tried fixing permissions from CMW but this dows nothing. i tried a few other apps to try fix them (appextract, rom manager) but non of these helped.
i have a samsung galaxy ace 2 (XXLD8) on three IE network. its running android 2.3.6. rooted with CMW.
the only other option i have left would be to flash the firmware back onto the device but would anyone have an option that i could try before i do that?
thanks

Did this all happen after flashing root access?? Maybe you used bad root file??
Did you flash stock rom through odin
If you flash stock rom(odin) without wipe data, cahe and dalvik, force closes will occur.

no this was the stock rom i got with the phone ie. lik ive never flashed a new rom to it. i used a root method on this to flash it: this one. but i rooted it about 7 months ago its just randomly happening :L. but one of the last apps i installed onto it i remember was this sd booster. i remember it seemed a bit strange and dodgy but i still used it. that wouldnt have anyting got to do with it by any chance?

SD booster app is the culprit behind this. This app have caused may devices to malfunction and sd cards to burn.
Setting -->manage app-->choose the app & clear data
This is my method

[problem] note II Freezing.

Hello Guys,
Need some advice here.
I'm running Paranoid Android 3.99 since its release and just recently my phone has started acting strange, I am unable to unlock my phone resulting in having to soft reset, It seems when using the phone it keeps freezing, I.e i'm typing a text and it stops responding for a moment and then continues typing the letter i hit previously.
I just wiped the cache and davlik but that took far longer than normal, as if it froze whilst wiping.
Has anybody experienced this and recommend any fixes?

try a different rom with clean wipe and see if prob persist
I suspect this is my only option, I'm just a little concerned it seemed to effect CWM.
I will give this a try this evening once I have backed up my apps etc.

[Q] Sudden death from the newest stock?

I had liquid smooth installed on this phone with cwm before and it crashed and I managed to set my phone back to the newest version but it had no keyboard and it crashed randomly and the bootloader sometimes wouldn't work properly.
Now I finally used kies to recover my phone to stock tmobile rom but the bootloader will sometimes crash during and my phone dies about 15 times a day and sometimes it's when I'm trying to open an application and other times it's simply at lockscreen or in my pocket. What can I do to fix?
Please do a factory reset. After that, observe for few days until you can make sure the issue is not repeating. Do Not Restore any apps or backups.
If it does repeat, Re-Flash Stock firmware using Kies.

I tried the factory reset as well as dalvik cache wipe and within a couple hours without installing anything it was still crashing already. After a day I tried reinstalling using kies and it had less frequent crashes but they kept getting more and more frequent so now it is bad once again.
Even the bootloading screen crashes half the time after 6 or so seconds.
At first I thought maybe it's my power button that is a little funky because sometimes I press it and it double presses instead and then lightly tapping it can bring up the option to turn off phone, but I've seen my phone crash just from opening the messaging app and so I'm convinced it's some other issue.
Any other advice? I was thinking of install a custom rom from a 4.2 version of android just because 4.3 seems to be failing with both roms I've tried
Check if your power button is really flasky. Could be hardware issue based on what you have described.

Phone rebooting

I am having a weird problem,
I was using B513, it was working fine for a couple of days but then suddenly the phone started rebooting itself. The reboots went on for a while and then all was normal for a while. I used it and it was fine.
Then the reboots started again,, so i decided to change my rom. I installed B132 but it didnt even go to the phone setup. It rebooted after the Huawei logo. So then i installed B508 (chinese version),, the phone now boots up but whenever i try to unlock it,,, just placing the finger over the unlock sign reboots the phone. I have installed TWRP recovery but even in the recovery mode it is doing the same thing,,, whenever i touch any icon in the recovery ,,, the phone gets stuck and restarts...
Any help will be appreciated... Thanks
Hello
have you found a solution against rebooting ??
I had the same issue with B513 rom.
I tried to install a custom rom (omnirom) and i hoped this will solve my problem but not.
The phone with omnirom keeps rebooting, reboots 50-60 times / day.
in recovery mode my phone is stable, or if my son plays angry birds on it the phone works well. I tried to do some stress test, the phone became hot, but it was stable, so it doesnt seem to be a hardware issue.
I dont want to throw away my phone, but i cant use the phone anymore
Currently using B512,,, it is working but not that good
Reboots when i try to hold an icon on the homescreen or sometimes randomly reboots

I have half solved the problem.
try to go back the earlier firmware as possible..
if i remember well, the chinese B111sp1 worked me..
and upgrade step by step through factory upgrade process.. it will take a long time, go through B111-B112-B113 and so on.
and when the system says, there is no more upgrade package, i installed omni rom 4.4.4.
Now its running almost fine.. if i start the system the system say: google calendar has stopped working, clock has stopped working.. i have to press ok a few times, and all error message disappear..
then the phone works, only the settings freezes
settings - language input - advanced options - then i press back, i get: unfortunately, settings has stopped
but i can live with it, because i can make and receive calls.

i checkey my system with stress test, etc, everything was fine, i thought this must be a sw issue,
the final solution:
backup what you want to keep..
Install twrp.
download omnirom 4.4.4 and gapps 4.4.4
and copy to sd card
boot to twrp
format the system partition, wipe everything except sd card..
wipe all. the wipe and format is the most important thing, without wipe and format, the system will be unstable again.
install omni rom and gapps
reboot
and enjoy
My problem is a little more complex....
As you said to install a custom rom but that is the problem,,, not even TWRP works for me anymore. It reboots when i touch anything in TWRP,,
so i am assuming something else is the problem

Note 3 keeps on black screening/freezing/random reboots

Hi everyone. I have a sporadic problem with my vanilla note 3 from t mobile. Its a totally random occurrence but sometimes it will freeze(loose all input functionality) sometimes it will just stay black screen(no input taking) and usually (not always) it will reboot itself after this happens(sometimes a battery pull is required). Is this a memory leak issue? Thanks for any help. Sometimes it will run fine for a week or 2 and then all the sudden it will start acting up.
Was it rooted? I had a similar issue before mine was rooted, some of the system load programs that I didn't use would start up and then grab all resources. ..
Mine was doing the same thing while rooted with towelroot. Even after I unrooted it was doing the same thing. I didn't try a factory reset, but T-Mobile is sending me a replacement phone.

im running dompop 3.5. about to install .4. but i have not been able to add any lockscreen except swipe. when i try another it unmounts my external sd card. if i reboot my phone it will reboot until it gets ready to stop doing it. some times it loads and says something about system ui not loading and asks me if i want to wait or push ok. freezes and reboots when it wants to. goes blank. i have factory reset it, fised permissions, and re flashed updates and rom clean and dirty. still does it. someone please help. phone is only a year and some months old. also my nandroid backups wont work. they are not all partitons or they just plain fail.

If it was my phone I would do cache wipe first, if still no go then full factory reset and I would then reinstall most important programs first.
Restarting phone every few days is not a bad idea on it's own and BTW when was the last time you cleaned garbage from it?
