I just flashed official LS 3.0 nightly for e975 and my phone said No service with my carrier's name after it. I tried going to settings and noticed network mode is set to 4G but I couldn't change it back to 3G or 2G. Flashed my old nandroid backup and it worked again.
My phone is a F180K.
What is the problem here? How do I fix it?

i just flashed my ROM yesterday to OMJ EVO 2.1 Eclair v1.9 and found out my 4g wasnt working anymore..only shows up as scanning so went ahead and flash a new radio baseband version 1.39.00.05.31... the 4G still doesnt work how can i fix that? if i unroot it back to factory setting with everything go back to normal? or my phone cant use 4g anymore.
To fix the 4G scanning problem, flash the latest radio and wimax. This is also dependent on which ROM you are running and whether that ROM works with 4G (WiMax) or not.
The other day I took the plunge and decided to root my phone and install some ROMs. It was all going well until I started noticing that I wasn't able to make/receive calls or texts. I had gio pro 1.4 installed when I first noticed this problem and I had read that installing cyanogenmod 7.2 had helped someone with a similar issue so I installed it.
Now I have cnmod 7.2 installed with the same problem and with my carrier name changed from virgin to bell. If I restart my phone I am able to call and send messages for a few minutes but then craps out again.
Hopefully someone can help me
Thanks in advance!
no network problem
unfortunately u are having the same issue as me you have to select use 2g only which is only good if you are on a network that supports 2g the nv data file become corrupt somehow and you lose 3g capability i am trying to figure away to fix the gio but to no avail right now

Actually I found out why I was having this problem recently. Turns out I have a different model of the gio (gt-5660M) . When I installed gio pro 1.4 I completely overwrote my stock firmware including the baseband so it screwed up my network settings. I had to find my stock firmware, flash it using Odin and then I just installed clockwork recovery and flashed cyanogenmod 7.2 using that. It's been fine working since then.
Thanks anyway!
well atleast your lucky i restored my original software and it has the right modem when i do a network search it picks up the 3g networks just wont connect to them
Yes, I accidentally did the same to my GT-S5660M. What I did was reflashed the stock ROM and then rooted, installed CWM recovery, and flashed a custom ROM, being careful not to override the baseband. Thankfully the ROM I flashed used CWM recovery and not Odin, and I didn't have to worry about a thing.
Hi,
I flashed Task and Ktoonsez's Jellybean preview rom, and I know that LTE is not supported on it, but when I flashed back to TuchMi S3X v5.0 I am still not getting any LTE signal :S My data works, just not LTE. I'm "fairly" sure it happened when I went from the JB rom to the TuchMi, but it could also be coincidence.. :S
I tried completely wiping and reflashing TuchMi S3X v3.0, and still only get "4G" (HSPA+) max speeds. Also tried to flash this modem but it didn't seem to help at all.
Anyone have any ideas?
Edit: Oh yea, and here are my APN settings. I tried to delete it and redo it completely, but still no go

You will need to go to settings, more settings , mobile networks and network mode. You'll need to turn LTE back on. Happens everytime I flash aokp or cm10. I have to do it now actually since I just restored back
It seems it puta gsm/hspa auto mode as default rather than gsm/hspa/LTE auto. I don't think AT&T users have this issue as this option isn't available
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
For some reason TuchMi S3X doesn't seem to have that option for me :S
But I figured it out..
I wiped and flashed AOKP-ICS, changed the network setting to GSM/LTE, and restored my nandroid of TuchMi S3X.
LTE works now =)
Hello, i have a trouble with unworking 3G on my LS970 on CM12. When i flash stock, or custom rom i have 3G working, but when i flash CM12 it is not work. Data toggle don't turn on ethernet. In settings in item "about" the mobile network state is always disconnected, and dont turn on. What i do wrong?
I'm having the same issue. LTE works great, but 3G just gives me an !
I thought maybe it was because I had updated a few nightlies without a full wipe... but even after flashing ZVC, getting good connections and installing the latest nightly clean, I get the same issue.
I have flashed custom rom and I couldn't get 4g services or LTE. I went back to stock rom but it couldn't solve my problem and I lost my IMEI then I came to custom rom but same problem is there i.e no 4G or LTE, I need a zip file which could solve this problem.
