[Q] Bluetooth Nexus 7 Keyboard - Nexus 7 (2013) Accessories

Just had one delivered today, and already installed external keyboard helper to change the $ to £. All works fine, except that the home and back button dont seem to do anything.
Has anyone else bought a similar one? Do these buttons work for you? I am running the latest LiquidSmooth rom (4.4.2) on my N7(2013).

n00b lol. it's there to allow you to change what keyboard you're using. if you know you specifically want to use one and never change it then disable the rest of them in language and input under settings and it'll disappear.

It's part of ICS. Was a little odd to see at first, but a handy way of switching keyboards. I suggest you get used to it cause future versions might still have this as part of the OS.

Just search the threads for how to root your phone. Its easy takes about 10-15 minutes not even. Then after you have root, download the app from the play store and uninstall anything you want, just be careful not to uninstall the wrong thing.

Long home press doesn't bring up open apps

Have a weird bug that comes and goes and can't figure out why or how to fix it. Long pressing home should bring up all open apps and let you get to task manager. Most the times it works, but every once in awhile it will completely stop working. A reset fixes it or if i just wait awhile it will come back.
Anyone else get this or know of a fix? Home button still works, just not the long press

Music cutting out

Hey guys. Just solved an issue with Pandora and not being able to create stations on the newest Pandora and being rooted. Now the only issue I'm having is my music being cut out whenever I open an app or really any button that isn't the main home button. It cuts out for like half a second. It's really annoying is anyone having or have had the same issue and any solutions? I thought it was just cyanogen mood but I've installed different roms and no go.

Are you on 4.2.2? Those roms are still a little buggy, so make sure you acknowledge that when you're using one
I had this issue using the BMS kernel. I switch to ktoonsez and it fixed the issue.

Quick memo takes a screen shot, and it is programmed to the button by default. Simply hit the save icon and select gallery to save the shot to your sd card.

Would be great that the button wake the phone and launch the app! !
Voice search. Thinking about changing it though, not sure if I need that there. Not sure what else to put there though.

I didn't get 4.2.2 but I did get the "side bar" thing. It seemed kinda cool at 1st, but it's gotten rather annoying. I get the dual Window option but don't see the practicality for my use. I'd love input if anyone has any.

But what it *still* doesn't have (or, at least, I haven't found it yet) is the ability to go into Navigation, hit the "map" button, and watch the arrow follow your route, without needing to punch in a destination (a "follow" mode, for lack of a better term). I actually used that on occasion, and its disappearance in Maps 7 is very disappointing.

Standalone navigation apps usually include a tracking mode where you can monitor a live trace of your gps' (walked, driven or bicycled) path along the map and annotate, save and share that trace.
I'm not sure how much was included in GNav, but it has been reduced to a GMaps subset and the controls need to be relearned. Map tracing via gps seems gone for now.

It no longer had a separate Navigation Icon, Nav is part of maps with a turning arrow icon to activate
