hi guys,
I need a big help because after trying to root my z1 compact using this guide link, my touchscreen is not responsive. I did do every step on that guide, and succeed to root. but, the first time I boot, there is a middle part of my z1c screen not responsive, I cant click or touch or anything on that part. so, I think this is software related, and I tried to start all over again from the 1st step.
and, here comes the big problem. after I flash the docomo rom (step 7-9), the bottom part of the screen which is the back button, home, and recent apps is not responsive at all!! I cant do anything!
please help me, I want to post to that thread but my post count is not eligible to post there. so I looking for help here.

first,... touch notif area... if respons then try to rotate it 180 degrees, so position back, home and recent apps will rotate,....
then try touch it.... if not responsive, then i think could be software related,..
but if the back, home and recent app button respon , and notif bar not respon,... it could be hardware related ....
my device rooted too using same guide.... but got no problem in touchscreen ...

after I flashed it with stock rom 4.4.2, I confirmed that this is a hardware related problem. the notif area, the middle screen, and the back home recent apps button still not responsive. my phone stuck in the language selection because the next button to proceed is located at the bottom of the screen which is not responsive. maybe I just go to the sony service center to make a claim. damn you sony!!

Hi there.
I have developed a little App, that takes a shortcut to the "Recalibrate Touch Screen" linux binary.
If your device is rooted, the App will recalibrate the touch screen immediately.
If not, it will take you to the last configuration menu, where you just have to push the button.
(Unfortunately I may not post any links.)
It should work for all GEN8 devices.
fomori.org/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/ArchosTouchscreenCalibration.apk
I have a blog, where you can read how I developed this app.
fomori.org/blog/blog/2011/11/04/workaround-for-archos-101-touchscreen-problems/
kthxbye.
Thanks ! This really helped.
Thanks, seems to help alot
It's still no premium touchscreen, but it's improved
Why not using ?
Parameter/Repair & Formating : Touch screen calibration ?
I didn't really have issues with the touchscreen except that at the sides responsiveness could be better so I've tried this...
now my touchscreen is VERY unresponsive! It's really really jerky.
Uninstalled the app, did a normal calibration, reboot etc don't help
I guess I should have followed my own rule: if it's not broken, don't try to fix it
*edit: I found on another forum a tip to do a calibration via the recovery menu and this SEEMS to help (fingers crossed)

Hello,
My desire has some touch related problems, the screen acts like I toching on the top right of the screen (notification bar area) and then he gets crazy, make me to lose my mind many times....
A new touch screen + intallation cost in my country like 100$, and I dont think its worth for such an old device...
There is any way to disable multi touch or and other method that can help me fix this?
Thanks alot,
Daniel.

Frankly, it s quite a known issue t the Desire has a faulty touchscreen and you should know that by having used the search button with lots of occurences.
First thing first: The HTC Desire has a dual- touch screen type and not multitouch. The means it has been designed mainly to support pinch to zoom actions. Therefore only two fingers can be recognized "fine",on the screen.
Why "fine"? Because it actually takes the real position of the first finger and calculate the virtual position of the second finger. This touchscreen configuration has created an issue that is well known as Axis swapping and stickiness. Search this on the Desire and you should get more information that, I hope, will help you very well

Thanks about the fast awnser =]
I searched about touch related issues, but this is not the problem Iam talking about...
I cant use the phone in avarage use, I getting crazy from using it every day,
Its hardware related issue...
Up, help please
Assuming you can disable multitouch. Your screen acts like it's always touching the top right side of the screen, then you wont even be able to swipe your finger as that top right screen bug will always make use of the touch functionality.
You determined it's a hardware issue then go replace the screen.
I need to know few things for now please
I have applied screen protector and cover on it .
When i am holding the tablet the touch is responsive and fine, but when i keep it on bed/table and view in landscape mode fixed in the cover . And when i touch or want to slide notification bar from above it becomes very un responsive but then also responds from same spot where i am touching the screen after some touches .
But could it be because of clear screen protector ?! I still think screen is fine as 10 point touch test app works fine , but i feel its a great screen but cheap quality giving such issues and that's the best it can give .
Or some sensors interept while in landscape or google tried to made it too intelligently to use it in right positions manner only? When holding it or should be holding it only while using it . (i dont think so) .
Or is the whole story something else ?!
Other than this, its flawless and i am loving it!
And please do let me know how can i make htc media link dh h200 work on it please ?!
Would highly appreciate the help on this please!

The touchscreen issues are a well known problem with the N7. Luckily there is a way to fix it. I just got around to it 5 minutes ago and all my touchscreen issues are gone. Refer to this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2428133

thanks I went thru that thread, but I don't want to unlock or root this as its just 1 day old and I might not ever want to unlock as its all amazing , and its practically fine.... as there is no ghost touch issues,etc.. its just that it wants me to use more of my thumb in landscape on this cover : http://postimg.org/image/k1jn5arkv/ (and when I am not holding the tablet) than my first finger if I want to slide down notifications bar or right side bar ... hope they'll fix it in future anyways ....
But please answer and help me regarding dg h200 media link ??

There is no way to fix it without unlocking. Seeing as this is a developer forum, you can expect most solutions to require unlocking and/or rooting. I would suggest at least unlocking now so if you decide you want to root in the future you won't have to wipe a fully set up tablet. It's super simple- "fastboot oem unlock" and you're done.
I don't know anything about the media link.
Few days back i changed the touch screen due to some problems. After that the back button stopped working. It will work for some time and doesn't even respond after few min. If i lock and unlock it works perfectly. but after some time it becomes idle. Please help me guys.

@psjson If you are on stock 4.2.2 activating navigation bar is bit difficult, Softkey enabler or for that matter many other apps from play store are useless as they are bound to give system UI fc's. Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49016717&postcount=11
If failed, there is an alternative

I have this issue in my grand where touch response is very jumpy. First I thought it was a software issue, but I found that problem goes away when i remove the back cover. I think phone trends to bend a little when the back cover is inserted. Anyone else facing this? Any remedys?
I also have same problem, so remove the flip cover came with my grand and purchase new one from the market & the problem is solve.

Hi,
If you facing such issue then first try to test another rom like Cosmic or Probam, if the same thing happening again, then do the installation from first stage i.e. Installing stock rom Odin to CM11, & the problem will gone, most of the time its happen because we try different Rom on same base, try this it will help
