I have been looking for s voice on t989 everywhere but in the majority of threads there are no working links. Could someone post fully working s voice for t989 users?

it would be great to have skype video call for the evo 4g!
any one knows how to do that?
Can not be done.
Search. There is already several threads discussing this and why it cannot be done atm.
ive tried searching around and a few have reported the problem but ive seen no fix yet. i just loaded cm7 .. awesome ...my only problem is no voice input? is there a patch?
Wow! A whole year and not a single reply as well as no change with this issue in all that time. Is there some fear of voice input with the CM guys? I have CM7.2 loaded and just noticed this and was wondering .......?
What do you mean by no voice input?
I ran CM7.1 not long ago, and don't remember any problems with voice inputs. I wouldn't use a ROM if I couldn't use Voice Dialer. I use Voice Dialer, all the time. I also used voice input for Navigation, Search, etc. on occasions. I also used the app vlingo, for a while. Are you talking about some other kind of voice input?
I had to give up on CM for other reasons, though. I currently use Inc-Deck 1.3 gingerbread, which is based on CM7 (and extremely similar) and all my voice functions work fine on it, too.
Hmm. Vioce dialer is the only thing that is working then. The first thing I came across was the navigation wouldn't allow voice input. something about it not being present or some such thing.
Download voice search in the market. It won't work without that

^^
what he said... I forgot that wasn't included with CM ROMs
then it'll all be working for ya
What do you know? That fixed it. Thanks! Surprised GAPPS didn't take care of that.
Just installed the Vicious 4.1 JB ROM a few days ago. Everything seems to be working fine except the voice commands. They simply don't work. In the Search Box, the mic animates as if its hearing me, then it reverts to "Tap mic to begin speaking" message. In Navigation, Translator, or any other app--I get no animation as if its hearing me. On top of that: I can't hear people on a call unless I'm on speakerphone. Any ideas what the heck is going on?
P.S. - I apologize if this is the wrong forum (I couldn't post in the JB thread because I'm a noob to the forums.)
The thread of the rom you installed is probably where you would want to post a question like this. You might want to look through that thread and see if anyone has had similar problems. I have been running a clean JB 4.1 rom for the last week of so and haven't had any problems with the voice commands or with hearing a caller. Personally, I would think you would want to do a fresh install of the rom. Good luck.

I've looked through the thread and done various thread searches with no similar results. I can't post to the thread because I'm new to the forum and I've re installed the ROM once already. I appreciate the feedback though
Welcome. It will all be golden very soon!!!!!!

You need to set the voice language to English us. Any other type of English and the voice commands go and you are only left with Google search. If you do switch to English us, it struggles to understand you with a London accent!
still nothin'
Ok, at this point, I've unrooted, gone back to 4.0.2, Superwiped, and flashed to 4.1.1. I still have no voice commands from the search bar, in Navigation, and nobody can hear me in calls except if I'm on bluetooth or speakerphone. I'm perplexed. In addition, My GPS takes about 10 minutes to lock-on using Navigation or Runkeeper Pro. Any suggestions?
Whenever I'm using any Wifi to make a phone call, my voice is not projected. I can hear the other person completely fine and otherwise, my phone is completely functional. Once I make a video call, my voice is projected fine and the other person is able to hear me.
I've tested this with multiple apps such as Skype, Vonage, and Kakao Talk. The only other app where I've used "phone call" and have had my voice heard was Tango.
I'm unsure of why this is which is why I'm asking here in the Q&A.
Could it be that there's something wrong with my phone from the get-go and I should just convert back to stock and talk to AT&T about this? Or is this a problem that other SG3 users have seen with their phone, or with the AOKP JB Build, although I don't think it's the build since other users haven't reported this issue.
Specs of my phone:
SG3 AT&T- Refurbed
AOKP JB Build 10.28.2012
Suggestions or ideas?

I've never tried any app for WiFi calling besides Talkatone, but it works fine over 3g and WiFi for me using my Gvoice number. Could be that those apps are not fully functional on JB yet. It hasn't been out long and you know how app devs are with Android. If not, they usually help us after iPhone, but before WM.
Edit: My suggestion: Try Talkatone.
Hello,
I know there must be quite a number of topics on this but honestly I didn't know where to start. I googles and searched XDA for keywords like "galaxy nexus call quality" "fix call quality without root" "root to fix call quality" with no straight answer or direction on what to do.
So let's start with the issue:
Call quality is terrible. Calls drop occasionally and I rarely have 3g or 4g while on a call making calling and surfing the web impossible. Bluetooth and headset call quality are equally low and terrible. the voice sounds garbled up and I sound like I'm underwater according to my fiancee.
What I'm searching for:
A solution. I'm quite familiar with rooting (sorta) so I have no problem doing that if I need to. So i guess my question is this - If root is the best and most reliable option, where should I go on instructions to root this phone and which rom is most like stock but is stable and doesn't have any issues like MMS problems, lag, battery drainage. I hope this was clear enough.
I would appreciate any and all help.
You all are wonderful - I've read tons of other posts and I'm always so impressed by the solutions and answers (which is why I rarely have to even post anything)
Thanks in advance )

I don't know for sure but look around here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405345
And maybe you can do some build.prop tweaks. But I am also don't sure if that will help, luckily there is google

Try what mrgnex is suggesting, no need to be rooting just yet. Read efrants 101 and return to stock, both stickied on General. By the way, if you have been lurking here for a while, you should know by now that you need to post in the right section: this belongs in Q&A.

edit: ****, i made a mistake; reported another thread (which was already in Q&A), sorry mods; this is the one for moving.

You should never have 3g data while on a call (Verizon), only when you are on LTE or WiFi; if you are on 3G and on a phone call, you will NOT have internet. No way around that, it is a limitation of the CDMA network.
First thing I would recommend is making sure your radios are up to date.
I almost never have dropped calls (on VZW). I'm in a very well covered LTE area so no issues with data here. I am on CM10.1 stable and find it to be a very nice ROM, I do use bluetooth allot and it always functions well for me. I'm not saying CM is right for you, but it works well for me.
