I just entered the above settings and opened the Hidden Menu...
Works on my LS980 running KK 4.4.2 Stock Rooted
I was about to ask our beloved developers regarding this, I can access the hidden menu but it is nothing like the one we used to get in JellyBean, the hidden menu in KitKat is highly stripped one compared to hidden menu in JellyBean but can access it.
Yep
There are no "data" on kk
Without it flashing to another carrier is imposible((
The code also works on my 4.4.2 G2
Works for me

It works, but the item "datа" there is no longer
we need @Data@ for switch "PPP Carrier" - from SPRINT to Undetermined.
It makes available 3G on CDMA network. Otherwise wee have only 1X.
Maybe there is another solution to activate 3G?

It will be great if we can find another way to access to Data hidden menu. Meanwhile you can downgrade to ZV8 and change the settings and update back to KK.

This forum lists a bunch of dialer codes, one of which is ##DATA#. Does this contain the menu that you guys need?

Flashing stock ROM wont reset those settings. You will need to reset the activation on a stock ROM. I'm not sure of the code for that but its been in the treads a few times....
Which would be ##786#.....
Still no avail brother!

Have you contacted your cellular provider? If you changed some settings, most likely calling your provider to get the right settings will be your best course of action.

Alright,so over here in india we use nvitems (dump files) for evdo Else known as 3G. I tried everything but it doesnt seem to go back. Any way to make a phone go back TOTALLY to its 1st stage? When it came out when it was shipped? As in the whole parameters to be new. I tried flashing new parameters, prl, No avail. Just cannot see the 3g logo.
Any help?

Agreed... ankurcshah you've given us very little to go on here. You have to remember that the ET4G your using is mainly a US/Sprint base device.
Have you rooted, installed a rom/moden... Help us out some so we can help you out.

As far as I know and someone else has already posted this... You can do a factory reset to bring the os back to a "out of box" state. But this in no way will effect, change or the dialer or radios. Those settings are set by the carriers.

Again, this is your original post. In it you clearly state that you "guess" you did the "##DATA# dialer code and" messed something with out my knowledge".
After rereading your original post again I'm thinking it really should have read this way...
"I went into ##DATA# and messed with some of the settings and didn't really know what I was changing." See the difference???
Those setting in "##DATA# or set by the carriers... They are there to tell the radios on your device how to communicate with and what frequency to use for the towers your cellular providers uses.
I'm going to assume that when you got your ET4G you had to contact your cellular provider to get it setup to use their service, right???
Questions:
1. If not how did you get it setup to see their towers???
2. Did they (provider) give you some kind of codes to enter in the ##DATA# settings???
3. If they did, do you still have them and have you tried that???
I've said this before... I really think you need to contact your provider and see if maybe they can re provision your radios.

The reset I mentioned is a "factory reset" ... But like I already posted... It will only delete all of your user data and reset settings like wifi, email passwords...
It won't reset the radios...
If you had already flashed these files to get your phone working when you got it, Don't you still have them???

Hello, and before you read this, yes I am a noob, with very little experience in ROMs and rooting.
I am doing extensive research before I flash Cyanogenmod 10 on my Galaxy S3, because the last time I tried, I screwed everything up and bricked my phone (trying to unlock the bootloader, which was the stupidest 700 dollar desision I Have ever made.)
I was wondering if LTE, texting and everything else on my plan will all work.
Thanks,
Edwin

When add settings of my carrier in DFS (cdmatool), it is not saves them. Who can help what can it be. Or it is just need to enter right APN settings? I'm new in this. Sorry for bad English. May be some one know what I'm doing wrong. Please give me advice.
Solution:
- as it turns out you need to put zeros in line 39939 (NV Items -> 39939 | NV_LG_DATA_PPP_CARRIER_I | User | - - | 1 | 2byte), than do everything like described in DFS. Also 3G Rev B works well (DFS -> tab Data -> mode -> RevB_MFPA)

I never used DFS.. But from what I remember from way back..
After adding the ESN to your carrier
I would flash the prl and activate the phone...
If the Internet wouldn't work... Then I would need to manually enter the APN settings.
Never did and LTE phones though..

I'm afraid that won't work either. The phones EFS won't let the manual write stick and I can't figure out why either. I've been trying since I've had the phone. I have mine flashed to Verizon but only 1X. I was looking at the thread on backing up this phones EFS to you computer and was wondering if I could be backed-up and changed while on a PC then copied over the existing EFS. I don't have time to try it right now so if anyone else does give it a "go" and let the rest of us know if it works.

I hope you are able to figure out how they did it soon because I can't stand having a [email protected]#$$$ paper-weight. LOL. By the way, after I flashed mine, one of the main bugs is the "hands free activation" notice that pops up every time it gets turned on or up from sleep mode. Is there a way to delete the file that controls this or at least permanently turn it off?

The hands free activation is an app that runs automatically at startup. You can remove it from /system/app/OmaDmclient.apk or uninstall "Update Device" with Titanium Backup.
Sprint likes to change up the app in its devices, but it seems to have the common thread of "omadm" in the apk name.
Hope that helps.

I used to use IOT hidden menu and either force my phone to 4g, or set it to force roam due to low signal. However, with ZVC the menu is different and I don't see the iot hidden menu anymore. Does anyone have any idea if it was removed, or just put under a different name/code?

Hmm, the app just crashes when I try to launch. Maybe a dev or something can figute out where they hid the cdma settings menu.
Also, I just noticed I put this in the wrong forum, meant to put it in help section...if a mod cares to move it?
I imported an F400L from Korea. Everything has been great except for making calls. Every single time I try to make a call, it gives me an annoying prompt called "roaming dial" and asks whether I want to call to Korea or Call Local.
I have the right APN settings and have checked literally every setting under Roaming and Mobile Networks. I can't get rid of this thing. Third party dialers have the same effect. I don't really want to install a custom rom.
Anyone have any idea how to get rid of this? Is anyone else rocking an F400?
It did that to me for a while even for data then it stopped after an update. I would try to clear the cache in the system app menu and try again.

Just as an update for anyone else who may have this issue: I tried installing other dialers: The European version of the G3, as well as the Google stock dialer. "Global Roaming" still comes up every time I call someone, so it seems to be a setting or something baked into the ROM. Still looking for a way to disable this.
Also looking for any info on how to get rid of this dialer on a F400L
The furthest I got was to disable the dual roaming clock, and removed anything else that showed i was roaming. What I have noticed, is that if i enter the international prefix and area code, the dialer will not ask whether it is a Korea call or Local call. I've found a section where we can automatically add the prefix on local calls but only a handful of countries are listed (I'm assuming its all other countries that dont have a G3 release in their market). If we could add our own specific country to the list (mine is +852 Hong Kong), I think this might be a workaround?
Anyone else have any insight?

I have the same problem, any have a solution?? thanks!
It's nice to at least see other people acknowledging this issue. I haven't found a fix, other than to add a +1 in front of every number in my address book.
Hello there,
I am experiencing the same issue mentioned before, and now with the latest update to version 5.0 when dialing a number, it is not asking if the call is local or not.
Also, there seems to be a permanent notification with the following message
"Searching... Available networks are being searched."
IS there somebody that can help me review and fix this issue.?
Looking forward to your prompt response.
Thank you in advance!
Regards
Have you tried using the TOT method to flash a stock Verizon rom or whatever carrier that you are using. You should be able to do so using the LGUP_8974.dll found here http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G3 LGUP_8974.dll From what I have read that dll will let you flash a rom from any G3 even if it is a different model. The good news is that you can always flash back using your stock TOT.
still struggling

Hi, have you find the way to fix that? I'm still struggling with this problem and can't find any way would work. well, there are few approaches that work for other LG devices, such as amend build.prop file or change the LGphone.apk along with other files. but still can't be sure any of these would work. really need to fix this!!!!! never buy L version!!!!!
