[Q] OTG problems with CM11 + ElementalX Kernel ? - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hi all,
First, i'm sorry for my poor english, I don't speak English very well.
I rencently bought a Nexus 7 2013 LTE tablet, i unlocked the bootloader, and i get customs stuff.
I'm currenly running Nightlies CM 11 with the latest ElementalX Kernel.
For two days, i wasn't able to get my Harddisk on OTG working, while it's working before.
My OTG cable is not faulty, i tested it on my father's Galaxy S4, and on my wonky A13 tablet, It worked fine.
Can you help me ?
Thanks by advance

Édit : with the latest nightlie and an elementalx reflash, my OTG is working again

Officially S4 mini does not support USB OTG. You may however use F4k's kernel which do provide support, but only works on external powered USB OTG cable, since the hardware does not provider power.

[Q] Android 5.0.2 CM12 Encryption Problem

Dear all,
I have problem with my s4 mini GT-I9195. I have installed Cyanogenmod ROM cm12 ( Android 5.0.2) and everything works fine, but when i encrypted the phone with google policy encryption my phone started to work slower and opening of apps is for about 4 sec late! Also booting time is about 4 min.
Before that i was using cm 11 android 4.4.4 and everything works just fine! It is a company/work phone and it is a company and google policy that device must to be encrypted! Do you have any suggestions on the topic? When i returned from cm12 to cm11 works fine!

[Q] Can USB-OTG support be enabled after rooting & installing CM 12.0

Hello everyone,
I have on installed the cm 12.0 [UNOFFICIAL} ROM for galaxy grand I9082 by pawtip.
I was wondering if USB OTG support can be enabled through either a custom kernel or any other method?

Yes It can with another method.
Buy a new phone that has hardware support for it.
no serious.
This is has been asked hundred of times and a search would given you the answer.
That is a hardware feature and can't be added with software.
Only thing a rom or kernel does is activate the hardware

Best ROM for 10.1 (T-520)

Hi everyone, I was wondering what the best ROM for the 10.1 (T-520) was? I recently picked up the tablet and I thought I would have no trouble finding a ROM like I have with my phone, however, it seems the 10.1 version doesn't have many options. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be happy to hear. I miss not being able to install some of my apps because the android version is too old.

Everyone has to figure out which rom is best for himself/herself. I am running CM12.1 because it is at least android 5.1.1 and I like CM. But for me the battery life is quite bad. It was way better on GraveD's rom but that one is stuck on android 4.4.2
Other roms are of course the stock one and the discontinued resurrection rom
There's barely any ROM available for the T-520.
My old HP Touchpad (2011) got Marshmallow 6.0
My old Samsung Galaxy S2 X (2011) got Marshmallow 6.0
My Nexus 7 (2012) also got Marshmallow 6.01
All the above have the bare minimum hardware requirements to run the latest Android.
My T-520 (2014) better hardware and everything compared to the above ones stuck with Kitkat!
I have CM12 before but it's back to the original rom as it does not work properly.
Good luck finding the latest one.

What issues specifically? I'm having an issue where the tablet randomly hangs and then disconnects from wifi and won't reconnect until I toggle wifi.

Wifi AC connection is very slow, my Samsung HDMI dongle doesn't work but when I reverted back to stock rom - everything works fine.
