Internal sd card memory - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all I am a bit disturbed with the memory management of the phone.
Photos and videos can be saved to the external sd to save internal memory, but is there a way to put for example the titanium backup folder to the external sd? Because when I copy it there my backups are not shown in titanium...
In the same way how to make the downloads to save directly in the external sd?
Thank you

Of course. Just set the locations in the preferences of your apps.

Memory problem

When u look in the settings>storage I can see my phone and sd card storage. When I look in the phone storage through settings it shows a bunch if files that show up in root explorer as my sd card files. I don't see the same directories as my HTC phone had for storage. So /sdcard is my sd card. What directory is the phone storage under? Just / or?

Is the directory that root explorer pulls up by default the phone storage?
mnt/extsdcard is what I was looking for. Fyi if anyone needs it.

[Q] internal SD card and inserted SD card

I put a 16M SD card on my note II. it looks like only photo and video switch to this Card. how could I switch other apps' data storage to the external SD card?
Such as evernote and donwloaed Googld Music ... and so on. many thanks
There are two ways to transfer apps from internal storage to external SD
1)go to Settings>Applications, and select each app into "move to external sd"
But not all apps support this.
2)second way is only for rooted phones. Install titanium backup. And select "move user apps to external sd card" and can be applied to ALL apps.
One more question the phone seems to store the screenshots and snote exports to internal memory..
Any way to make it store all photos in external sd??

[Q] Creating new folders through the stock gallery to an SD card. Is it possible?

I was wondering if it's possible to create new folders on the SD card from the gallery. Currently, I have my pictures save to my SD card by default. The issue is if I want to take all my recent pictures and put them into a new folder (like "Christmas 2012" or whatever), the gallery creates the new folder on the internal storage and then moves all the selected pictures from the SD card to the phone. Then I have to go through the file manager and move the folder back to the SD card to keep my phone memory available.
Is there a workaround for this, or will using a new gallery app fix it?
Use a file explorer and make yourself your new folder in your sd card. Then you will only have to sort all your photos and will save on your sd card

I've typically found apps to external sd to be unreliable and I also found from experience the more your external sd is used, the greater the drain on battery life. Throw media (music, photos, etc) on your external sd and any roms, backups to limit their impact on your internal sd and also to maintain good battery life.
I agree, moving apps to SD is not such a good idea. Maybe move only obb files from large games to SD card - you can use FolderMount to map SD card folders to internal storage. You can also use it to move i.e. GPS apps maps to SD card etc.
If you are running low on memory I recommend folder mount for moving things to sd card. A lot of people use the internal to external memory switch script but I've not tried that myself

Move galley items to SD card

Just transferred all my stuff from M9 to M10. Using SD card as removable storage not adoptable. All my pictures transferred to internal memory. Can't find a way to move them all to SD card like you could before with make more space. Anyone know how? Internal memory almost full. Don't really want to make the SD adoptable.

What do you recommend. Pics are in different folders and would like to select all of them at one time and move to sd card.

ES File explorer
HTC File Manager works well enough...may have to sideload if not available on playstore
