When I scale up or down an image (or complete widget) in the Zooper settings I get strange sizes... At 100% the image looks perfect, but scaling down to by example 95% or 85% gives a (much) larger image then the 100%. The image is also a bit pixelated/blurred.
When i scale down further to 50% the image becomes sharp again and is indeed 50% of the size (when it is 100%). So all percentages between 50 and 100 gives strange results?!
Anyone familior with this or more important familiar with a solution?

Hey Matthew, you again? What do you exactly mean by saving and reopening?
Check the images below. The first one shows the 100% image, and the second one shows the large 95% image?!
I noticed that this only happens on my Asus TF 101 Tablet with Android 4.0.3. Not on my Sony Xperia Z phone.

And you noticed that in that picture!
No idea mate - does the wallpaper setter scale down the pictures to some kind of jpeg?
Mmmh that's weird..perhaps android compresses the image chosen as wallpaper pretty much like win7 does? BTW in my humble opinion you should share that wallpaper wether we get the hang of this or not
Hahaha, i just made the wallpaper. Even i view it on gallery, still the gradient is linear. Am a graphic artist that is why it is very easy for me to notice this.
Ok, will upload the original wallpaper later on my pc, so you can test it on your desires. Thanks guys

So do you think, this type of rendering is normal? It's like we're using 65k color format.

He is telling you to download a program called "Wallpaper set and save".
I have used it too and for some reason, it seems to make the wallpaper look better.
You should try it out.
And share the wallpapers so that we can see if ours do the same.

hahaha, my mistake, ok, let try that, thanks
WOW! that really did the job, thanks a lot. so the "gallery" of htc sucks i guess, or the graphic rendering of either Eclair or Froyo sucks, co'z as i still browse on the gallery, the linear gradient of the image still exist.
Well, the title says it all! This is a boot animation + boot sound combo for the Galaxy S! I'm currently using it with CM7 (with the bootsound hack) and the visuals and audio are timed perfectly. I made this myself.
This actually makes me reboot my phone more often now...

Note: This is not a CWM flashable zip. You must manually copy the files to /system/media. If there's enough demand for one I shall create one.
Very nice, although it looks out of proportion.

Shouldn't be, all resizing was done in the correct aspect ratio, then cropped for the vertical orientation.
very very nice thanksbitn looks greatn on my s900i
hey man , cool idea ! specially 4 the playstation fans
but just one question from one bootanimator to another
Why did you made 4 folders in the bootanimation.zip ?

It's to save space. Because the Sony logo has to stay on screen for 60 frames before the animation continues, I create a folder containing the 1 image, and then loop 60 times. Same with the last frame, except it loops forever.
I remember it looking more like this..

Yep, turns out the HD video I ripped it from was HD in aspect ratio too, and they stretched the logo to get it to that point :\ I'll make a proper one...
I'm using 155-2 cee stock rom.
This rom suits me for best battery life.
Normal 2g mobile standby is 2.4 hours per 1%.
setvsel 18-300 40-800 50-1000
And some system app deleted like most did.

The reading app is moon+ reader,
(205 232 207)RGB background with pure black font
7% screen brightness
no page flip effect
still with mobile standby(that's 10% battery drain,5% if using flight mode)
Reading time is about 8 hours,other time is just screen on.
This brightness with the color background is nice for bedtime reading even in thedaily time in the room ,not at window or with several lights above.
You can have a try.

I can't see those pics: "You don't have permission to access the requested object."
Honestly I don't know how much those figures will suit people that use their phone for anything else than just reading... Someone will call you during those 25 hours...
Where did you find the circle battery indicator in the status bar? I'd like to install this style in CM7.1, it is nicer and cleaner than the 2 stock ones (stock for CM7.1, I mean)

I made it from this site,easy to use.
http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/
my device is Xperia Arc S, with stock ICS 4.0.3 firmware and kernel.
/system/bin/charger is replaced with this one (because of a boot loop):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437840&highlight=replace+the+charger+file+with+this+one+for+me+and+test+if+it+works&page=27
I replace my /system/semc/chargemon/data/*.png with my own image,
however some colors in the images cannot be displayed properly.
For instance, an image is this one:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
but when I power off and plug the phone to charge, the image is displayed somewhat like this (red becomes blue!!!):
Why?!
Is there anything wrong with my device, images, or the charger binary?
Help needed.
Thanks.
Hi there. I just wanna tell you that don't fret. There's nothing wrong with your device nor charger binary. I tried modifying "charging animation" of my device and also faced the exact situation. red turning into blue.
My first guess was we're changing color mode (RGB, CMYK, INDEXED, etc), color depth, or some other configuraiton that's causing the odd. I checked and original files was in RGB 8bit format. I have no additional information!

Really, bumping a topic, which is more than half year old. The OP has either already left or forgot about it.

Youre right, silly me. I did not look at the date. I was searching on the topic and found this thread. You know, I found only 1 similar thread and I believe this problem is rare or no one tries to modify original files that come with roms.

I actually appreciated finding somebody looking into the same issue.
Ka.
Hi,
I'm curious if other Folds' have the same problem as mine.
I think this is only happening from the latest uldate, I am now on Android10, 4.14.117-18521059 kernel (apr 24).
The problem is that menu items are not rendered into one line ie in Settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have set the smallest available font:
Is this screen looks the same on your Fold, guys?
I dont understand the problem im on May patch android 10 and using nova and on the 4th dot font size
Hi, I took a screenshot from a different Galaxy phone (not Fold), and all the items are rendered next to the switches:
Ps: I'm not using any launchers or mods, everything is stock.
If someone has Fold, could you please post a reply with a screenshot of connection (or any other) settings took of the outer screen?
Thank you!
