Hey do you guys know when the T-Mobile HTC One M8 will get the Extreme Power Saving Mode update? Sprint is the only carrier who has it for now.
between now and the end of the world ie "soon"
no one knows
I'm running ViperRom and it has it built into it

Mine came with an extreme power save. Not sure if it's the one your talking about.

I love the unintentional implication that the end of the world is soon.

I would like to have the update as well. But I haven't needed it yet. It regular power saving mode my battery just won't die. Lol.

T-Mobile variants don't have it. Just flash Viper and it is built into it. Extreme Power Saving is not introduced until the 1.54 FW

Some T-Mobile phones have it. I had to exchange one and it had it. So when I got this phone I wondered why it wasn't here. Then I read on xda that the T-Mobile variant doesn't have it. Strange

I use battery guru, works like a charm.
Been really happy with the battery life.
It has it in the newest firmware 1.57.531.7

Here it is, the previous firmware didn't have it.

Hi guys,
Is anyone else experiencing the XDA app being extremely unstable? I can't add favourites or anything, just hope there is an update coming soon or if I'm the only user experiencing this.
I haven't posted this in the Q&A part as I don't feel it being right placed in there.

I'm getting "invalid id" when replying backing up and loading forum again fixes and also I sometimes can't open forums in landscape I have to turn portrait to make them clicky.

Premium app works good for me. Recent update makes it look nicer too

No problems here either, on my HOX.

I'm only using the Standard App, might purchase the premium tomorrow. Does the free app regularly receive updates?

i would say do not bother with the premium app and go for Tapatalk. Same thing but even better and you can also use it for other sites like xda that uses the tapatalk feature.

I after disagree sorry xda app is less than £1 and buying that app supports this superb site. So my advice would be buy both, if you use more than just xda.
xda premium is really nice, the last update made it even nicer

Crashed at first since the app update on the one x but a reboot seems to have sorted it.
The app is terrible on stock 10.1, crashes at least 5 times a day.
does anyone use the HD app on their HOX?

I think I'll just go with the XDA Premium, can't buy it until tomorrow though. I only use XDA and just having a quick look at screenshots of the premium application on the Play Store it does look gorgeous. I'd like to give something towards XDA too, whenever I have had a problem, 99% of the time a fix has been waiting for me on here.

I would try this, however it was the sane on my other One X and I only just installed the App tonight

Yeah, the new xda premium app looks fantastic. I always use the xda free display style, and it looks even better on the update.
And it's good to buy it to support xda

So now that the devs are developing their own kernels is there much chance of seeing an aosp Rom anytime soon?

We have CM9 already and it's almost 100% functioning. It just isn't on this forum. Try Google.

Yep seen that too, just wondering why the devS here aren't making these.

Just wondering if anyone has any news on any plans/projects/ports of miui for the m8? This phone would be even better with some miui love.

This would be awesome. Bump.

Nexus 5 is in closed beta for miui based on 4.4. So once that opens up, I'm sure this device won't be far behind, at least for a port. The m7 even got official status, so I have high hopes for this phone,it just might take awhile

Thank you, but i should have stated that my device cannot be S-OFFed for the moment with firewater (the whelp message)
This is why i am asking for any other solution.
I've use cellunlocker.net for several phones and it's worked perfectly everytime.
Yup like Cell unlocked.net works good like @Randomjoel said. I unlocked about 5 phones using it and got it less than 2 hours sometimes less than a hour .

So I'm not sure if I've been noticing this or not but after decent use of my m8 my phone gets pretty warm. Up to 113f earlier today. Do you think this is too hot? Or does yours warm up as well.
Thanks.
Sent from my unlocked M8.
113f for a hi perf ic is just dandy.
