does anyone expirianced the same problam lik i do and fixed it somehow ?
thnx
I had the same problem. My solution was when i restart the phone i check again for soft.update and the phone find the JB update. Its was strange 'coz hours before i was updated to 4.0.4,so after the instalation of jb i updated the camera and people updates without problems.
Maybe its only for jb but its comes before the jb itself.
Try that method.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
thanx bro it worked
Thank you very much!
That stupid failing camera update was preventing me from updating to Android 4.1.1 OTA

similiar problem here
Hi , i have a samsung galaxy grand duos gt-i9082 , which had android 4.1 jelly bean. I have rooted it and changed the recovery to philz touch 6.19.2 with clockworkmod v6.0.4.7
I have installed official rom of 4.2 I9082XXUBNC1_I9082OJVBNC1_TUR
which was stable for 2 simcards but it got slow and heavy battery drains.
i formated the phone via phil recover ( format for installing a new rom option ) , formated cache and delvik cache and installed these 2 ROMs in 2 different trials.
so i installed CosmicCM-4.4.4-5.6.stable-20141003-030024-k2wl-i9082 , which was actually 5.5 in it ! but it was not stable , I faced different crashes and after every crach keyboard didn't show up and back button failed to work , even with enabling the navigator back button didn't work.
so i reformated the phone and this time installed : vanir_i9082-ota-eng.rutvik_msim_build6 , it was stable with 1 simcard and wireless was working fine, then i installed an apk
MultiSIM-Toggle-v1.2.apk , made by xenon92 , http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-multisim-toggle-t2830647
now the wifi cannot connect to any wireless router ! i have tried with different networks , it sees the SSID , connects ( passes the password ) and when it wants to obtain an ip it refreshes and goes from the first of this loop.

I have fully formated those 3 parts again ( system , cache , delvik ) and installed this file now : cm-11-20140917-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip
it is android 4.4.4 and both 2 simcard , and wireless connections seems to be working fine . and yet i didn't face crashes. hope it stays this way.
i just saw that i cannot connect to kies anymore , to restore backups. I had 2400 contacts and exported them from kies to vcard format ( seperate files ! ) , and It is getting copied to external SD to import them this way. and my notes are lost with the unofficial rom. it seems samsung doesn't allow its framework to be used freely.

now my mobile is working perfectly fine..back key also working and no issues...and if you r facing keyboard problems then you can download swift key..i use that keyboard it works fine with me..
ok , on 4.4.4 with the links that i gave you , i am almost fine too. programs odon't crash that much and back key and keyboards are working fine.
only move to sd in app manager do not work ( like the original samsung 4.1) . but it was available in original 4.2 from samsung.
and i Use link2sd , i created a ext4 partition in my memory stick , and link2sd app sends some of applications to there and creates a link to the original location. but when i did this some times my battery drain came back again I am not sure whether linking some apps to sd can be the cause of my sudden battery drains or not. but it didn't happen before installing link2sd and moving apps.

Greetings, I wonder if somebody can solve the following problem. I'm from Venezuela and I bought this model GT-I9192 in December 2013 when the update came out this year it was updated from 4.2.2 (JellyBean) to 4.4.2 (KitKat). I almost never use the camera of this phone and then I noticed that every time I opened the camera app I would get "Warning: Camera Failed". Thinking it was the update I proceeded to install the Cyanogenmod rom 11 for this model, but continued with the same problem. The flash works every time I turn the flashlight application. I took it to a technician telling me that the problem was not hardware but software. This is where my troubles began. I do not remember which firmware was installed. I tried to install several firmwares 4.2.2. but without success all with flashing failures. However, I could install version 4.4.2 of Trinidad and Tobago but with the same camera error. Hopefully someone can help me with this problem. I would like to know exactly what firmware should download to install? Thank you very much.

I registered here just to answer your question.
My Android expertise is very limited but I try to learn from past experience. If I understand correctly, your want:
1. the camera should work.
2. the phone should function properly.
If you do not remember your original firmware, do not worry as it does not matter. Once your upgraded to KK, Knox (google it) kicked in to prevent you from downgrading to JB. That's why all flashing efforts to downgrade failed. So, you can keep your phone with KK if the phone works except camera. In case you want to downgrade to JB, I am sure that able XDA members can help you with that. I am unaware if such methods exist.
Now, to see if the camera works there are several methods. I encountered the same problem with my wives i727 Skyrocket which has JB 4.1.2 installed. One day the camera suddenly failed with the error "Warning: Camera Failed". The flash-light worked flawlessly so I was a bit perplexed. I researched and found several remedies:
1. From application manager, clear cache/data of the camera app and restart phone - Tried this several times, did not work.
2. Perform factory reset- Thought I'd use it as a last resort as the phone had gigs of data in it.
3. Uninstall apps (last installed app uninstalled first and so on) - I uninstalled the last installed app and restarted the phone. Voila! The camera was back. I have no explanations why but it just worked.
Let us know how it goes, good luck!
On the i9195, it is possible and easy to downgrade to JB since there's a 4.2.2 firmware which is similar to the 4.4.2 firmwares, but I don't know about the i9192.
Be careful with this;
If you know what you are doing, get the CWM recovery, format system/data and flash a 4.4.2 firmware again. If that didn't fix it, I suspect that it's a hardware problem and it's having problems with the software, but there should be something wrong with the hardware, for sure.
Good Luck.

Tried that too and nothing. I also suspect that the problem is a hardware issue. Thank you for the reply.

The problem, in fact is a fault in the hardware problem. If it's still under warranty, request a new phone.
hi guys, couple of days ago i started to have apps fc, and bootloop on aosp mashmallow . i tried to clean re install the rom but couldn t solve it . So today I did install stock rom with LG tools , everything went fine but after installing my apps i started to have lots of problem nearly apps doesn t launch or have fc (stock app and app from store) also my tablet doesnt turn off or reboot on the software way .
if anyone had the same problem and solve it or if someone got idea it is welcome
because now it is unusable
ps V500 model
well little update , not sure if it been solved need to use it a bit more but after all my problem i left the tablet off and today when i turn it on seem to be working , ummm i am a bit confused
Ok, so I've had this phone for a couple of years and I kept running into the same problem: videos not working in Snapchat.
Yesterday I decided to get B709 to see if the problem still persists and it still does.
So now I want to try out another stock firmware to see if it solves the problem (and many other, battery drain etc) and I can't seem to install any UPDATE.APP, it always fails at the VERLIST. I've tried everything I found in these forums, extracting the .app and editing the verlist, but nothing. It doesn't work
Any help guys?
