[ROM] NO SENSE: 4/Aug 2.15.531.3 r1 - HTC Vision Stock ROM (rooted/radio/de-odexed)

I'm pleased to present my repack of the stock ROM for the HTC Vision! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
Remember that if you use this ROM, you do so entirely at your own risk!!
About MoDaCo stock ROM repacks
Unlike a MCR (MoDaCo Custom ROM) release, a stock ROM repack is as close to the stock ROM as possible. Only root / Superuser and an insecure boot image is added. The benefits of the repack are providing a rollback option in update zip format as well as providing an online kitchen to remove parts that are not required.
A MCR release of this ROM is also available!
Requirements
In order to use this ROM on your device, you must have a custom recovery image installed (Clockwork Mod).
THIS ROM SHOULD RUN ON BOTH THE G2 AND THE DESIRE Z!

Repack of the 2.15.531.3 (OTA) Gingerbread ROM
Pre-rooted with su and Superuser Permissions by ChainsDD
Insecure boot image (ro.secure=0)

Installation
To install this ROM:
Download the zip file of your choice from the links below (or the online kitchen) and copy to your SD card
Restart your device in recovery mode
PERFORM A NANDROID BACKUP FROM THE MENU
Select the option to apply an update zip, and select the zip file you copied to your memory card
Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM (you should be particularly safe if coming from a near-stock ROM), however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
The ROM is packaged for installation via ClockworkMod. The radio / baseband is packaged for installation via either renaming to PC10IMG.zip and copying to SD card then rebooting to bootloader or by 'fastboot flash'ing the radio (both of which will likely require your device to be 'S-OFF / ENG' bootloader).
A MCR will follow soon.

Yeah, you can flash it on top of anything. Usual caveats apply, backup first blah blah etc. etc.

Paul, the download link for the ROM isn't working for me. I can get through the text verification, but then the download fails. Any idea?

Can you elaborate on the "uncensored" DNS servers? What's wrong with the defaults? Is it easy to revert to the defaults?

Paul, can you clarify if this requires you to be running the last FroYo tmo OTA? Or can this be flashed from a clean wipe? I looked at the file system in the zip, and it looks like a full ROM, but I just flashed the odex'd version and got stuck at the HTC splash. Thanks man.

its a full rom i cleaned wiped & flash the deodex & it runs great so far

Love this ROM. Super clean &fast. I just have 2 questions. 1 Is there a taptowake link some one can send me or post. 2 do I really need to flash the new baseband & radio seems fine without it.

You can flash this on top of anything, probably without wiping if coming from a near stock build as the actual ota is non wipe.

Its not ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY BUT they built this rom to work SPECIFICALLY with that radio. So why not have it work at 100%?

Hello everyone,
This is the stock 6.1.A.2.55 rom for XPERIA SL LT26II as a flash-able CWM zip extracted and built by me. Some features are :-
---> Pre-rooted with latest Superuser binaries and apk.
---> Busybox pre-installed
---> Removed the apks in /system/etc/product and /system/etc/customization. These are the apks that are removable by the user without root but some times re-appear after a reboot.
---> Deodexed
---> Rest everything is absolutely stock. No other modifications.
---> Fixed USB, superuser and WiFi problem.
As I don't have a Xperia SL LT26ii, please let me know if the rom works. This rom should even work on locked bootloader.

Installation instructions :-
0. Download the zip and place it in the internal storage of your phone.
1. Enter CWM.
2. Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache. Then go to mounts and storage, format /system.
3. Select install zip from sd card ( the internal storage ).
4. Chose the zip and wait until installation is complete.
5. First boot may take some time.
6. Go to settings--->Apps--->All and force stop Superuser.
7. Enjoy and don't forget to press the thanks button.

Works on locked bootloader but I have trouble connecting to my WiFi (Stays stuck on 'Obtaining IP Address').
Don't know about Bravia Engine since I don't have time to test.

Please let me know if wifi is working properly. It may not work on first boot. Please reboot twice and then try.

Damn. Will fix everything asap, start building from base again.
As for the USB problem, just reboot twice and it should work. Also, has anyone tried flashing xperia sl rom on xperia s LT26i? If it works, then I can test before releasing the updated rom.:victory:

If anyone has tried V2 of the rom, please let me know whether it works.

I've tried the your rom but unfortunately it doesn't work, it stop at selecting language, and message sorry the NFC has stopped keep on appearing and can't do anything else..... I even have to force it(Power + Volume Up) to off and reflash the stock rom

I´ll try it when it become deodexed. :good:

For now it passes all the setup and it will still notify that there is an new system update for 6.1.A.2.55 using PC Companion but don't update it, instead of updating it, flash your device with flashtools using your own stock 6.1.A.2.55 ftf by excluding system and wipe data, after doing this the the update will no longer required to update using PC Companion and you still have root access.
I have not fully tested the rom yet so in the meantime don't know if theres any bug, battery performance and others, will update here if everythings works fine.

I think root will not work with current version.because i try to root on current version with chainfire root method and i just had reboots. Rott works only on XXUAMD2 version and newer

Done...you can find the rom here.Will make a thread in development section soon and also uploading unpacked zip too.

I tested the link now and it works ok,
it is using my web seed, start torrent and wait a while and it will start the download.

This is a not firmware. Dont flash.
I had the same week before ... i also flashed chainfire root and phone reboot itself.
Even a friend in samsung tried to restore but nothing.
You have to wait for original firmware.

Xperia Z1 [C6943] 14.2.A.1.136 Deodex patch

I managed to create a deodex patch compatible with the Brazilian Xperia Z1 (C6943), as the deodex patch for C6903 wasn't fully working (no Digital TV and no Sony Entertainmet Account integrated to system due missing APKs).
== Requirements ==
- Xperia Z1 running stock 14.2.A.1.136
- A working recovery (like CWM)
- Busybox (note: XZDualRecovery users already have Busybox)
Please do a nandroid backup before flash, in case anything goes wrong!
== Installation ==
1- Save the ZIP file on your phone (internal memory or external sdcard)
2- Flash the ZIP through recovery
3- Clear Dalvik-Cache ONLY
4- Reboot to system
Also I included in this ZIP the updated Sony Apps that are not available through Update Center for C6943, here is the list:

All the system apks from C6943 Generic BR FTF, have been deodexed and are present in this zip, including the Digital TV, and a strange apk that is related to Sony Entertainment account (without this, WALKMAN, Album and Movies Apps couldn't sign into Music Unlimited, Play Memories and Video Unlimited). That why I created this for C6943. The C6903 deodex patch from @[NUT] is "working" but a C6943 would lose TV and Sony Account integration, not anymore if you use the zip I provided in OP.

Nice one but .136 still have the annoying adjustable light effect of interface ...
Tried it but moved back to .257

Sorry, the C6903 deodex patch was made by @[NUT] and his signature is very clear saying: "Do not mirror my files".
But I think there is no problem using the C6943 patch on a C6903, just delete the following files from /system/apk (these are exclusive from C6943)

I´m on C6943_14.2.A.1.136 provided by OTA yesterday (indeed, I've got my brazilian Z1 just yesterday and as a newbie I've updated from .290), locked bootloader.
I need to root the device because of some apps that need this condition, but rooting guide here in forum seems today to be a mess, worse in case of C6943.
Can you share some information of the steps I need to look for to get root on my device, as I cannot install CWM by [NUT] guide as it is still incompatible with my version. Maybe I need to downgrade with some .FTF provided here via Flashtool, but I want to keep it in LB until I can backup my TA partition. What do you suggest?

I´ve noticed that digital TV and other things related to Sony bundle apps are working OK in my Z1 without flashing this patch (I get only 2 channels here, but I think in my city there are only 2 channels indeed). My C6943 is running 14.2.A.1.136 rom version, locked bootloader, XZDualRecovery, rooted, everything done by method 2 from Brasildroid forum you RHBH, regarding the sources.
I only have noticed that I cannot update Facebook, even unistalling it from system (I use Titanium Backup) and installing a previous version I've back up from my old Xperia SL.
Could you explain what further more I will get with this patch?

This will delete the system/app and system/framework folders from your phone and extract the default system/app and system/framework with the APK/JAR deodexed, the only additions are the Sony Updated Apps (you can see the list in OP) and SuperSU 1.93 (this was implemented to prevent problems regarding superuser rights).

A. Included Boatlader Sboot.bin
1. Download Rom Target in HP
2. Download sboot.tar.md5.zip in computer windows
Extrat that file in windows computer until you get
sboot.tar.md5
Insert that file to BL in odin collum
Than done From HP
Reboot to custom recovery (Recom TWRP)
Wipe cache, dalvic data, system
Instal zip rom
Reboot to download mode to flash sboot.bin from odin computer
Instal sboot bin in BL Codin computer
Reboot outomatically

B. Without boatloader sboot.bin
In your Hand Phone
--Download Rom target
--Download KUD Kernel from here
KudKernel
Reboot to custum recovery (Recom TWRP)
Wipe system, data, cache, dalvic
Instal mbokarna.zip rom
Instal KUD kernel.zip after that
reboot
Note :
My recomendation is use stock kernel and install boatloader first for the best result!!
If you want switch to other kernel easy be doing after that...
This is original kernal i9500 PF1 if you want back to original after try with other kernel.

Im not edit system/etc/permissions/platform.xml just stock have.

Im not change stock have before so that will make problem looks like titanium backup. Just flash with that to solve it.

If you want I can give you examples like easy voice recorder Will only save to Android folder of extsdcard and not to the root folder. Please enable the functionality so that third party apps as well as inbuilt apps can access the root of extsdcard. Thanks

What folder structure...you give voice record for example and i have give that.
And This is titanium backup. That can akses to external to. That not defold app.
If you not belive...and you in stock rom now. Flash my path in anyrom stock lolipop that you have...than see it...

Yes I mean saving directly to storage/extsdcard. Most apps will only save to android folder in extsdcard.

I'm extremely happy to see you here @zuziemanis. Thank you for making an odex stock for i9500. I've just Odin my phone back to original pf1 Russia downloaded from sammobile because i bought a new battery & can't get nfc to work on vova rom. Then i found out the nfc placement is differently placed on other model of phones, i tested with an Xperia Z Ultra.
Now I've to download yours & flash it. I find odex rom is faster in performance

This works with stock odexed / deodexed Samsung 5.0.x SDK21 Touchwiz firmwares. Debloating is not needed but there is a little possibility that it doesn't work on some devices. Have to use the bundled uninstaller when you want to revert it.

This is what he meant (photo). As far as i know this started on kitkat, some apps doesn't allow or don't have the option to choose custom extsd folder/location. So it's not rom related

Ok..only stock way in here...
Look like that depending from each aplication have. Or any other ristriction from os.
Never think abaout it before. Will try see it if i have free time to understand more about it first.
