You need to first flash google services using Nokia X Manager. And then, through Play Store, install the Google Maps App.
For all xl users. I recommend to install the Gapps so much better than nokia store

Help! My Galaxy Nexus sudden going through BootLoop (Google logo kept coming back).
I have new born baby photos and video that I need to pull them out to my PC.
SO I read Mike 's Toolkit 7.8 and trying it.
I do not know what extract model and built is my phone. This is original phone so I bootloader is still LOCKED.
With Mike toolkit I followed up his Toolkit instuction #14.
Here is what I done.
1) In GNex TOOLKIT V7.8. I choose from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4 android build and model version (Yakju-Maguro since I am in Canada using Rogers/Fido as Carrier). Then I chose option#1 to install Nexus Window 7 drivers. This didn't work. My Window 7 did'nt regconize it.
2) During the installation of PDaNet. I hold Power On Buttom + Up Bottom (I think) Fastboot mode. I am able to get a page that shows me my "bootloader version", "Baseband version" etc...Only then PDaNet then installed Android driver successfully to my WIndow 7 Device Manager.
3) Go back to Toolkit V7.8 menu. Choose all 4.0.1 to 4.0.4 android build and model version.
I can now see my Serial Number on then top left side onw.
4) Then I chose #14 pull data from my phone.
It said the Device not found/regconized. Choose 4.0.1 to 4.0.4 android build and model
So I don't what I did wrong..
Please help..me..
I can only access to fastboot mode? Can I still files/photos pull?
Help me
Thank you very much! Your help is greatly appreciated!

Thank you Zepius! Got few question..
My phone is in bootloop .so I can't go to android market and install Android SDK. I can't turn debugger mode on..
"assumes you have already installed the Android SDK, and updated the Android SDK Platform Tools to the latest version (currently Rev 10) using the SDK Manager."
Installation of Android SDK to my window 7 pc?
Please tell me what I need to do. Much appreciated!
First install 1wayjonny's drivers on your PC so it can communicate with your phone. See his thread in the dev section.
Then get adb (and fastboot) and unzip them somewhere on your PC. There's a link to a zip file containing those two commandline programs in one of efrant's threads. You don't need to install the whole SDK, just adb.
Then boot into recovery mode, since android mode bootloops.
Then follow the instructions in the link Zepius provided to use adb commands to pull your data from your phone to your PC.
Since you can get into fastboot, I would :
- download a flashable custom recovery image such as clockworkmod
- boot into bootloader (fastboot)
- type: fastboot boot recovery nameofimage.img
- start adb
- type: adb pull /sdcard c:\somepathhere
This will not flash the custom recovery but it will boot it once. The adb command will copy your entire sdcard contents.

My first and most priority is not to fix my bootloop issue but I need to get my phone photos+video backup.
So can I just make sure I get adb (Android SDK development and tools install) and adb my device?
then adb pull /sdcard c:\somepaththere?
I just want backup it first .. before I fix my phone or fastboot boot recovery nameofimage.img.
Thank you again.. I already lose some nights of sleeps because when I thought of photos that I took with my baby.
Gosh.. what a nightmare!
May I suggest to install either dropbox, box, Google drive and have it sync all your media, so if you ever have this happen again or worse the pics will be safe. Just saying..

What is the property steps to backup my Photos+Video+ phone apps
Allow me to summarize.

1) Install Universal Naked Driver to my PC
2) Install Android SDK with adb and fastboot commandline to my PC?
3) Boot my Nexus to bootloops (power buttom+volume)
4) Then connect my phone with USB and connect to my PC
5) use "[GUIDE] Full Phone Backup without Unlock or Root" article from copkay
adb backup -all -f C:\backup.ab

5) Turn off your phone and reboot into fastboot mode (vol up + vol down + power) and plug into PC
6) Type: fastboot boot recovery.img
7) Type: adb pull /sdcard
That will get all of your videos/photos/files/backups/etc.
As for your installed apps, you can re-install from the Play Store. For your installed apps data, you will have to use copkay's guide, but if your device is bootlooping, it may not work.

You don't need the entire SDK. You can if you want to, but unless you're planning on developing apps on Android, the SDK is overkill for just fastboot and adb. I suggest using the package efrant links to in his 101 & FAQ: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812959

Almost. Adb won't work in when booted into bootloader. When you are in the bootloader, use the steps I mentioned earlier. In custom recovery, you do have the adb interface.

If your bootloader is locked, which it obviously is, you canNOT use what I had suggested. You need to try using ADB backup (use copkay's guide). However, as I mentioned before, given that you have a bootloop, it may not work...
This is a prefect example of why you should leave your bootloader unlocked -- if it was, you'd easily be able to recovery your data.
1. Download the 4.3 factory images for Takju from http://goo.gl/ABbAmc
2. Extract files using 7-zip on Windows (you need to extract twice and will get the files as: bootloader-xxx.img; radio-xxx.img and image-xxx.zip)
3. Copy these files to the location android-sdk/platform-tools/ (if you have the android-sdk installed or to the location where adb & fastboot is)
4. Plug in your Galaxy Nexus (ensure Debug option is enabled under Developer Settings
5. Follow these commands:
a. adb reboot bootloader
b. fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-xxx.img
c. fastboot reboot-bootloader
d. fastboot flash radio radio-xxx.img
e. fastboot reboot-bootloader
f. fastboot update image-xxx.zip
This would update your Galaxy Nexus from Stock 4.2.2 to Stock 4.3 without losing any data/apps
Note:
1. If you using Windows follow the video tutorial to setup adb and fastboot http://goo.gl/jGcic
2. If you are on Mac, use ./ before the commands for execution
Note 2: With this method you don't need to remove the userdata.img as the command "fastboot update image-xxx.zip" does not touch the userdata on your device.
*Disclaimer: I have followed the above to the T and moved from Stock 4.2.2 to Stock 4.3 with Unlocked Bootloader, but you follow these at your own risk.

It could be due to corrupt adb/fastboot files. Try downloading a minimal packaged adb/fastboot from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42407269 and see if that helps. I don't have a windows machine to test it... but i have used something similar on mac too

Few more questions:
1. Is your bootloader Locked (do you see a lock under Google when you turn your phone On)
2. Under Settings>Developer options> USB Debugging (do you see a check mark)
3. Have use used adb/fastboot before
4. Share a large screen shot for proper view.

You can flash recovery by this method as well:
Connect your phone to PC and make sure you have adb and fastboot drivers installed.
Download Lewa Recovery.
Copy the file to adb folder located in C.
From there, press Shift and left mouse button together and Choose open command prompt from here.
Then type:
fastboot -i 0x0421 flash recovery lewa_recovery_nokia_x(2).img
If the process completes, you are lucky.
Reboot your phone, but this time, keep holding the power and volume+ button together till you see Lewa Recovery.

Yes, follow the steps precisely.
Yes, you will have to factory reset.
Hi,
I'm a noob trying to root my Huawei Watch (to be able to read BTLE messages). I used egalite_kernel_HW_dffc4c0-2.0 which should be rooted (and indeed I see su.sh and busybox.sh script in the /setup folder)
I did the following:
sudo adb reboot bootloader
sudo fastboot reboot-bootloader
# Unzip TWRP_3.1.1.-0_Unofficial-Sturgeon.zip => recovery.img
sudo fastboot boot recovery.img
#In the phone, using TWRP, set to ADB sidleoad (wipe data and wipe cache)
sudo adb sideload negalite_kernel_HW_dffc4c0-2.0.zip
TWRP loaded fine and the rom installed fine to, but when opening the "Advanced Settings" it says that the phone is not rooted.
Any hint of what I did wrong?
Thanks

You keep saying your phone. Are you trying to root a phone or a watch? I'll assume you're talking about your watch.
adb sideload is for applying OTA updates. What you want to do is flash that zip.
While in TWRP, do the following:
sudo adb push [path to kernel zip] /sdcard
In the TWRP menu, select install. Navigate to /sdcard and select the zip. Install it.
If you can't get that working, just flash the supersuwear.zip I've attached to this post using TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...aw-1-5-build-m9e42c-to-downgrade-2-0-t3607859
Also, use the advanced wear settings from the play store. I've had issues with the one that negaman includes in his thread.

Yes! I just want to root the watch.
Thanks, for the reply. I'll try it and report back
I installed TWRP_3.1.1.-0_Unofficial-Sturgeon and then I tried to install negalite_kernel_HW_dffc4c0-2.0.zip
sudo adb push negalite_kernel_HW_dffc4c0-2.0.zip /sdcard
and Installed using TWRP.
Unfortunately I got the error below:
--
set_perm: some changes failed
Updaterrocess ended with ERROR:
Error installing zip failed
--
Trying to fix the problem I started wiping parts and I screw-up and delete the system. Wonderful.
I then tried to find ROMs and finally I found Huawei-Rom-NX-v2.7.zip and successfully installed (with Root)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...-negalite-huawei-rom-nx-root-bb-v1-6-t3406813
Unfortunately I find out I need a specific build NWD1.171016.002 (Stock ROM from December 2017).
Any idea were to find it?
Or shall I open a new thread?

Why do you need that? You're running a rooted rom, right? Wasn't that the goal?
If your goal is actually to be on a rooted rom AND be on the latest system software, I think it would probably be best to start from scratch since you've done so much flashing and I'm really not sure what state your watch is in at this point. This is how you do that:
1. Download this factory image: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120748838
2. Extract output.tar from that package. If you need software to do this, I recommend 7zip.
3. Extract the contents of output.tar.
4. Copy flash-all.sh, image-sturgeon-m6e69f.zip, flash-all.bat and bootloader-sturgeon-m6e69f.img to the same folder where you have installed fastboot.exe.
5. Boot your watch in bootloader mode (aka fastboot mode), connect it to the computer and double click on flash-all.bat. This will bring your watch to a 100% stock state.
6. Setup the watch and keep taking OTAs until you are on NWD1.171016.002 (there should only be 1 or 2 that you have to take).
7. Boot into bootloader mode and do one of the following steps:
If you want to keep the stock recovery menu and only use TWRP temporarily, perform the command fastboot boot [path to TWRP image].
If you want to have TWRP permanently installed on your watch, replacing the stock recovery menu, perform the command fastboot flash recovery [path to TWRP image]. Then select reboot to recovery in the bootloader menu.
8. Download the supersuwear.zip package that I linked to in my previous post.
9. While in TWRP, adb push [path to supersuwear.zip] /sdcard
10. Install supersuwear.zip using TWRP menu.
And there you go. Latest firmware version, rooted. Download advanced wear settings from the play store if you want it.
Youre the man.

Bro Thanks!!!!!
Hey buddies,
Is there anything to do if my phone isnt working exept the fastboot mode, and I want to open the Bootloader, but I didnt allowed the OEM to be unlocked on the developer settings and I cant do it now because the phone cant turn on normally so I cant allow it from the settings?
If it matters, the model is "Nexus 5X".
Thanks alot!
You can check this topic Oem bootloader locked with no os installed!!! How can i flash phone to stock?!
Push a custom rom to your phone and flash it in TWRP. Command: adb push namerom.zip /sdcard/, or sideload a custom rom in also in TWRP recovery. And don`t ever relock your bootloader again if you are flasher If you have enabled ENABLE OEM UNLOCK in developer options its best to unlock it first

But I have no access to the OEM (Or bootloader, I dont know if it is the same) too
I found this guide : guide-fix-bootloop-locked-bootloader-t3608679
I've refreshed the links:
You will need:
ADB + drivers installed: platform-tools
Nexus toolkit: Nexus Root Toolkit
STOCK image archive, older than you have now - Factory Images for Nexus
Latest OTA image archive : https://developers.google.com/android/ota#bullhead
-------------------
Extract stock image (NOT OTA)
install Nexus toolkit and restart your phone in Bootloader mode
connect phone to pc.
In nexus toolkit click on : advanced utilities > launch
look at: fastboot flash
click on all buttons and flash all partition files from extracted archive - except recovery ,userdata and cache.
Copy downloaded OTA ROM archive in ADB folder.
reboot in recovery
now select apply update from adb.
open ADB
flash latest OTA package via command : adb sideload <packagename>.zip
I hope this works
