Hi my name is John.
If you are not a admin or moderator for the forum do not reply !
My request/question:
I have had a user account here before thou it seems it has been erased !
Now i wonder if some admin or moderator can see the ranks of users that has been erased.
If so, Can you give my previous rank back to this user ???
Keep in mind that i really don't know why my old user account was erased, but one thing for sure is that i know it was not banned.
If some Admin/moderator have time to do this, I would be very glad for your help !!!
Have a nice day.

I don't know if I understood you well, but you are saying that your account was deleted? We don't delete accounts just like that, you need to ask an admin to do so. Do you remember the name of your previous account?

Sorry but I dont understand why anybody would want to have their account deleted or go to the trouble of posting to get it removed?
If you dont wat to use XDA, wouldn't it be easier just to not visit?

Quick question, what do all these THANKS mean and what happens when you reach a certain amount of them? Also, do you lose THANKS (points) if someone thanks you and gets their account deleted or that person gets ban?

Not up to the minimum post count to ask this question in the development forum...not sure if that's the best place anyway. I searched and found some related threads, but nothing within the last few years and nothing that seemed to really address my core issue.
I just went from stock unrooted to Jellybread. When adding my Exchange account, I ran into the notification forcing me to grant administrator privledges to my company's IT department. I already use a lockscreen, so I have no problem with that aspect (even though my emails are in no way sensitive in terms of trade secrets). What I do have a problem with is handing over the ability to wipe my phone or change my PIN. What if I quit or am fired and IT decides to be malicious and wipe my phone that I paid for?
I never had (or noticed) anything like this with the stock unrooted rom.
So my questions are, was this something I was already living with? Should I worry about it? Are there legal restrictions as to how and when IT can wipe my phone? Is it worth using a paid app like Enhanced Email to eliminate IT's ability to wipe my phone?
Well to address one thing at a time. All questions should be asked under the rom thread or in q&a. Do not post questions in the development thread ever which is why there is a post requirement in the development section. If you go into the jellybread thread you will be allowed to ask questions. The development section is for roms and things of that nature not new threads about questions. Not being able to start a new thread has saved you from looking foolish and getting flamed by other users. Also I am not trying to be rude with my reply but only filling you in on how things work here on xda.
Now onto the real issue at hand. Giving admin rights to the exchange server is a normal part of exchange. Tell it yes and go about doing whatever it is you do.
Now to address your paranoid delusions. I suggest seeking professional help for that issue. Lol.
Edit: the following was my misinterpretation of the permission asked and is not correct information. I have left it because I said it. Just remember it is incorrect.
Giving admin rights to exchange does not give the IT department the ability to wipe your phone or change your lock screen password. What it does do is allow the exchange server to keep all your business emails synchronized. If you delete an email from your laptop then the exchange server needs to be able to delete it from your phone. These admin rights you are so concerned about just allows exchange to read, write, and modify the emails from your exchange server.
Edit: the following comment was just me having fun and in no way was intended to be offensive. I am a paranoid type. I refuse to use credit, debit, checks, or anything that can track my spending. I won't even let them scan my drivers license at any store.
Also paranoia is not bad just don't let it control your life or you will end up needing professional help.

Love, and
Happiness

I understand that. I meant that I do not have the post count to post this question in the Jellybread thread on the development forum. Sorry to be unclear.

Oh wow that is a first sorry about my reply I will edit it. I have never seen that before. I suggest that you not use your personal phone for that account then. I have no clue why that would not have shown up on the stock rom. Like you said you might not of noticed it last time.

There a lot of members incl. me who would like to see your work once again, but this is just wrong. Why harm the entire Community by doing this instead of just ignoring those members who bothers you?
I know exactly what you mean by lazy persons, there are just too many people who does not search or try to do something about their issues with their device themselves and just wants to be spoonfeed by others.
But please, bring back your work to the Z1 Compact section, if you don't want to then that's your choice.
Thank for all your work for Xperia Z1 compact
I like your amazing custom rom

I agree, if you're so easily offended by people who aren't even aggressive but just a but dull, you shouldn't make a public release. All others have to deal with this as well, deleting a thread just because somebody posted something that might be considered a "negative comment" because he made a mistake is ridiculous. That doesn't reflect on the dev but that person alone, most people reading here are intelligent enough to recognize that.
Also, if people are making the same mistakes over and over, your documentation is probably lacking, and documentation is part of any release. And if people are supposed to test a release, they need to know how to use it. Plus it would be wiser to listen and consider the possibility that there's an actual bug instead of always saying "nah, you did something wrong".
Sorry to say that because I really appreciate his work and porting the Privacy Guard was a great unique feature, but at times munjeni was just rude for no reason. And this final move is an insult against everybody.

I know that but @KennyG123 told me that I need to contact moderators for thread close! I will contact administrator and ask him about my rights for my own threads since if these thing which @KennyG123 told me is true than I can not see reason why "we" r.c. or r.d. have these option available under thread menu, thats realy funny if we have no right for closing own treads or asking moderators for own thread deletion. I reported this post allready but thread is still opened.

Sorry, I didn't see the report for this one. And I apologize but RDs can close their own threads for any reason, RCs cannot. I apologize that the green of your username resulted in me only showing you the RC rules. Again apologies for not seeing that this morning.
Thread Closed at OP's request
Guys, i am a frequent poster at a LeTV s1/X600 phone thread. It would be great if the first post was updated frequently about new information/FAQS/updates/news ROMs, important information, etc. However the OP user, has the account disabled. It's a mess that important information is spread across several pages*, not usefull for people that needs info (sometimes urgent) and not for the guys doing the answering, we don't mind answering, but it would be better for everyone if the important information was in one place.
Now, sure i could open a new thread, but somewhere in the future i will sell this phone and maybe not interested in updating the info on the first post. So, is there a way to have a post editable by more than 1 user so when someone leaves, others could continue updating?
*- This is indeed a typical problem of forums.

Sorry, this isn't really possible. The only way would be to give you the OP. And if you sell the phone and someone offers to take over, they could get the OP.

Ok, this seems reasonable. In case i open a new thread, but after a while i'm no longer interested maintaining the first post i could pass to other user. How could this be done? Is there a way to actually change the user for the first post?
Other way maybe... I could open a new user account and share it, this would be ok too, right?

To have the first post ownership changed, just hit report on the opening post and request the change. If it's someone else's thread, they would need to initiate the change. You can pm a Moderator from your section as well.
And no, it's against XDA rules to create more than one account. Also, multiple persons accessing an account is never a good idea.

All right then. Maybe it's easier to start a new thread. We just want to make a informative (FAQs, updates, tutorials, etc) opening post. BTW, the thread is this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/letv-one-x600-s1-hands-antutu-camera-t3130033
As you can see, the OP has the account disabled. But ok, we'll probably open a new thread.
Thanks for the attention guys.
