can u make a bootanimation like this? or is so much colors?
if the fist don't works.... do like this... is more light.
in my sony xperia Go... I got it do ... with sound to... but the sound are very lower...

i tryed use the program to do boot image... but all images dont work... I tryed put one only a black image and don't works.... I use Corel Draw to save the images.. and don't works

- Create a 720 x 1280 x 24b picture (i've tested it with bmp, but you can try with png or jpeg).
I used same size.... sabe bits... don't work.... i try same size 8bits... don't work... i try same size gray scale.... dont work...i tryed in JPEG and in BMP.... both don't work... look the pics...

Hey Boy's and Girls ,
This is my first tread on XDA . And i want to share some of my creation's .
I am from Holland ,so if i made some grammatical mistake's , please ignore them
My Boot animations are made fore the Gingerbread software ( for the SGS-1 I9000 ) and they are made on JVQ ( may also works at other formats ) These boot animations where created voor the Talon-kernel and the Semaphore kernel ( they where tested bij several people with those kernels )
*EDIT* And now i have an confirmation that the Bootanimations also works with the Galaxian-kernel ! if more people with the Galaxian-kernel can confirm that these will work with the Galaxian-kernel , i would really appriciate it !
Just for the moment this will not work on the Galaxian kernel since 1 person had difficulties , and the other not , so there fore i first going to test it thourougly .
I am not sure ( actually i am pretty sure ) that they will not work with other kernels !
Keep in mind that these bootanimations will overwrite your old boot-animation and PowerOn sound ( and if it come's with the animation also your PowerOff sound ) I'll put in the disricription which animation has an boot sound or shutdown sound , you will see it in the line which show's the amount of Mb's the animation has . So Be safe and copy your original sounds to your sd-card so you always can put them back if you don't like the animation .
Please note : i hade many hours of work invested in these animations , i will not get any money out of this project , the only honour that i will get from my work is that i will know how many times and where my boot-animations were downloaded , since i've uploaded them trough Multi-upload . So if you will spread my work , please use the Multiupload link which i provided . And pressing my thanks button is also appriciated

the sound that is responsible for the bootup sound is in the file /system/etc
it is called PowerOn.wav . Well .... it is so in de software for the SGS I9000 i am not sure if that is the same for your phone . If it is , you can easily change the PowerOn.wav file fore any other ,via an app like Rootexplorer . Just keep in mind that you must not change the name en the format ( .WAV ) otherwise this replacement shall not work !

Change sanim.zip to bootanimation.zip in the zip file and it works with other kernels too...

It looks great, and... I've tested most of them, they ALL work!
It's like how Citizen says: If your kernel is nog using sanim.zip als a bootani in /system/media, but uses bootanimation.zip(Check this in your kernel's thread), open up the zipfile&change de name sanim.zip to bootanimation.zip. After having done that, it WILL work beautifully.
It takes a LONG time to create a bootanimation on request, he has to download the complete movie en cut the parts out that you want. Then he has to convert it to be a bootanimation by making it png's or jpg files. After that compress it and zip it.
A LOT of work.
So I suggest you hit the THANKS button if you use his bootani's and especially if he makes ya one on request.

@ the people who say's it should be bootanimation.zip and not sanim.zip , so it will work on other kernels to , i would advise , learn more about kernels !!!
Because the Semaphore-kernel is using bootanimation.zip instead of sanim.zip and i thought i posted some bootanimations 4 the Semaphore-kernel So the only conlusion is that .zip that is responsible 4 the bootanimation is called : bootanimation.zip !
And @ the junior member LukaszD , that tought it was an shame that it could not work on other kernels : please tell me wich othere kernels are supporting custom boot anmations ??? And can you tell me the .zip file (bootanimation/sanim.zip) has to placed in ??

the Bootanimation which i created 4 the Semaphore-kernel is an flashable .zip which you can flash trough CWM , it places the bootanimation.zip in the file /system/media ! I named it : for the Semaphore-kernel because it was only tested on the Semaphore kernel ! And just as an precaution i put on in the discription that it will probably not work on other kernels , why ?? because it was not tested on other kernel's ( yet ) So i can not be held responsible if the flashable bootanimation doesn't work on other kernels and it will mess's up someone's phone after flashing on of my animations .
And for your request , i will try to make one before monday , after monday i will go on holiday so i won't be able to make one for 2 weeks .
But can you be more specific ? Your request is a litlle bit vague . and it would be helpfull if you can hand me an youtube link or the part of the movie in .avi file , please keep in mind that the scene cannot be longer then 10 seconds , and the sound cannot be longer then 8 seconds , since every kernel won't play sound longer then 8 seconds and picture's not longer then 10 seconds .

You need CWM .The best what i know and what i use is here :

After install of the cwm make a backup of your system.
And after the backup you can flash my mod's

At this time i work for an htc one theme for the ZL
Not sure if it's because of the mod, but I'm sure it is... Sometimes when I open up the messaging app it says there is no conversation and or not let me send messages.

Fantastic mods!!! The phone looks great with that Sony logo as the home button. Love the new signal icon and blue battery. Any chance of making a mod that has the back button and recent button swapped?? So back is on the right and recent on The left?

This is for enabling bootanimation.zip file, and is required only for Stock-Based Samsung ROMs
For CM/AOSP/AOKP ROMs, the bootanimation.zip is already enabled, you simply have to overwrite the zip file with a custom animation zip so head down to post #2
Requirements
1. Root access

Initial Instructions for Stock-Based ROMs Instructions :
1. Download the Enable and Disable flashable zips from the above post
(Disable file is to undo the changes in case the bootanimation_enable doesn't work or you want to revert to stock Samsung bootanimation)
2. Place them in your phone
3. Boot into CWM recovery
4. Flash the Bootanimation_enable.zip file
5. Reboot
(If it worked, instead of Samsung bootanimation you will see "android" written across the screen)

How to change your bootanimation?
1. Get a root explorer like ES File Manager and mount /system folder to Read-Write
2. Navigate to /system/media folder and paste any bootanimation.zip file
8. Select the bootanimation.zip and go into properties
9. Select "Change Permission" option and select rw-r--r-- properties.
10. Reboot to enjoy the custom animation
Note : If getting a blank screen, then the bootanimation.zip file was not read or made properly, but your phone will still boot up after it.
Attached : Default bootanimation.zip of CM10.1 to test if it worked

Can you try again? I checked from two browsers and 2 different internet connections, it's downloading for me easily.

Update: Mirror added. But can you confirm the 4shared link isn't working for you?
Thnx the mirror link worked but I tried opening the original link through my stock browser and dolphin browser the same message showed up that the file does not exist after clicking on the download button!

Yes it will work, it's packed right and desc.txt is correct as well. If you copy and paste it in /system/media and give it rw-r-r permissions, it will run without any problems.
BUT the resolution of the images are high horizontally and the desc.txt has the resolution set to 320x320, so the image will appear squeezed in if you are Galaxy Grand but if you are on a mdpi device with a lower resolution you should be ok
If you are on Grand, unpack it change the first line for resolution in desc.txt to 480 320 24 instead of 320 320 24. Then zip them back without compress (Store mode), and you are good to go

If you are on custom CM based ROMs, you need backup of your original bootanimation.zip, you can simply paste it in /system/media and you will be back on default animation
If you are on stock firmware or stock based ROM then you need simply flash the CWM_CustomBootanimation_Disable I have mentioned in the OP for 4.1.2 as well as 4.2.2. Flash according to the firmware you are on.

They are meant to have an infinite loop. When your phone is booting up, it can take anywhere from few seconds to 1-3 minutes depending on how you are using it and if it's updating. Once the phone is ready to boot, the bootanimation is terminated by the phone in all devices.
If we use "p 2" instead of "p 0", and your phone takes longer than a few seconds, your phone will get a blank screen once the bootanimation is done running twice (2 represents run it twice)

First you go to www.online-convert.com and convert your .gif to .jpg images (they're going to be inside a .rar file, just extract it). Now that you've got your images follow these instructions http://www.droidbeans.com/how-to-create-your-own-boot-animation-rooted-devices/ .
First few tries are gonna be complete fails, but when you get the hang of it you will see how easy it actually is to make bootanims xD

Ok, but keep in mind that it won't be a moving animated picture as it's just a normal .jpg
In other words, it will just sit there on your screen until your phone boots up. It won't move or something like that [emoji14]

No problem. DMod should work fine on any firmware, because it overwtites the existing system with the modded one.
My S3 Mini is on this ROM and I love it
Btw, DMod v7 isn't released afaik, v6 is the latest and it's also gr8. Try both for a few days and choose which one you want.

All thanks to @GokulNC, we can make Custom Splash Screens (or Boot Logos in Layman's terms) for our device.
I made this thread, so that all of us can make custom splash screens and share them with each other.
The splash screens I made are in the 2nd post and are flashable zips. I keep track of splash screens made by other members and they are all indexed in the 3rd post. I don't check their validity personally and can't say if they'll work perfectly or not. If they cause any harm to your device, I would not be held responsible with any kind. So just Download, flash and Enjoy!!
====HOW TO FLASH====
You'll need a custom recovery for that, TWRP is what I always recommend. Since, you are here, I suppose, you already have one. So, just reboot to your custom recovery.
Go to "Install", then choose the zip file of your preferred splash screen that you've downloaded.
Swipe to proceed flashing and you are done.
Just Reboot and Enjoy.
NOTE: No wiping, before or after flashing, is required.
Also, if you want me to make one for you, you can leave the image along with desired text (if any) in the comments. Just make sure the image is in atleast 720x1280 resolution

I'm gonna add links for some of the bootanimations which I found to be cool. Remember that you can flash any bootanimation on your device with 720p resolution. Flashing bootanimations of other resolutions will not display it properly but otherwise is not going to brick your device in any way.

First put the splash.png and splash2.png 720x1280p png images in the "pics" folder. Then, click on create_splash.bat, it will run and create a "splash.img" image file in "output" folder

Those are not boot logos, those are splash screens.
A boot logo refers to the device's boot animation, while the screen that lights up during the bootstrap phase is called a splash screen.

Well, technically you are right. But, from the various posts that I've been reading about it, "Boot Logo" is the more general term being used. I named the thread with "boot logo" because anyone, even a new member, can easily understand that its basically the image which is displayed while the phone boots. Thank, anyway, for the suggestion. I'll add that too in the thread name :silly:

You can change your boot logo by installing CM theme on your CM rom. I guess. By the way, Im new here, acctually, new account ?

Stock Splash Screen / Boot Logo is already added. Check the last one (10th).
And, in CM, themes can change Boot Animation and not Boot Logo.
P.S. : I'm using the 3rd BAT LOGO only :silly:
