[FIXED]bootloop after unlocking bootloader 4.3 c1904 - Sony Xperia M

Hi all!
So. I wanted to root my 4.3 c1094 on OFW 15.4.A.0.23. Since my bootloader was locked I decided to unlock it as well. Got Bootloop and stuck at sony animation.
Then I installed CWM to see if it fixed the problem. It didn't. But my Recovery boots without any problem. When I try to factory reset, it says "Error, cant mount /data".
Currently frustrated. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will need to flash a zip of the 4.3 update through CWM, you can find one in the Android Development section. /data was wiped when you unlocked the bootloader.

Should I really bother downloading another 600-700MB? Can I not just flash the FTF file again instead?

[Q] Xperia Arc S bricked

I installed CWM on an xperia Arc S's, but the rom (CM10 nightly) seemed to have an error. No problem I thought, I have a backup. So I did a restore and rebooted the device. Unfortunately all I get is the sony logo. I've tried flashing with flashtool, which goes through the stages but the same problem continues. I've also tried using sony PC companion, but after selecting the device type it tells me it has no software avalible for the phone.
Really stuck here, anyone able to help?
Edit: Should also mention that I have no way to get into CWM now as it requires a phone that I can boot into to get into recovery. power+vol down does nothing.
Good news is you're not hard bricked, it's fixable.
Here is a good tutorial including a table with updated firmware & drivers for each Xperia device. :: http://www.androidgadgematic.com/2012/06/how-to-fix-bricked-sony-xperia-android.html
Use Gingerbread IF you had Gingerbread before. Use ICS if you had ICS before. It's probably not wise to mix.
Btw, is your bootloader unlocked?

Yer, I've tried that already. It'll let me flash the kernal I had before, but upon rebooting it still doesn't get past the sony logo screen. It was running ICS before, and I've tried the two kernals I already had saved on the PC. AFAIK the bootloader is locked, but I cant be 100% as it isn't my device.
here is the flashtool log for the record

Most tutorials usually assume you're unlocked. How about you unlock and try again? You should be able to still enter into fastboot and send your unlock code, it's been awhile since I've worked with an xperia but I recall fixing one by unlocking first.

Well it says that the flashtool method works with unlocked or locked bootloaders and I can't figure out how to unlock the bootloader without being able to do anything with the device. Any help with that?

It's not my device, but I don't think it is. Unfortunately I can't figure out (or find online) how to unlock the bootloader without some access to the phone.

Go to this link , http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions
follow instructions & Get unlock code, & then unlock your bootloader through flashtool!

Thought I should post to say that I found a way to fix it. I hate it when I'm googling issues and they dont say how it was fixed, so here is a link to the thread that I followed to fix the issue.

Download proper FTF file and install it via Flashtool. Yours was kernel only.
And to all the smartasses out there - CM10 cannot be used with locked bootloader, so if he was using it, he must have had unlocked BL already.
Sent from LT18i with custom firmware by myself.
Im have similiar problem about stop at Sony logo, I have locked bootloader.

a xperia arc, broken?
hey guys, hmm,
I was hesitating about posting here, but now that I have no choice.. -_-''.
I installed this ROM, ultimate HD 3.0.2 on my xperia arc with locked bootloader, successfully, but the keyboard was not working, and i found no soultion, so I thought about reinstalling it, but this time I remembered that, somewhere, I read that I could install the version for xperia arc s, unfortunately, at this moment, I got stupid enough to do it u_u''.
So now you understand that I installed ultimate HD for xperia arc s on my xperia arc, and the result was===> guess what!
My xperia arc never booted successfully after that: the sony screen appears, than the phone reboots, and does the same thing again and again. I don't even have to push the power on/off button, it just shows the sony screen and keeps rebooting whenever the battery is connected..
I know for quite sure that my phone is broken, but isn't there any chance that I can repare it xD?
I'm a student, and I sincerely got no money for buying a new one -_-.
PS: when pushing the volume-down button, I can not access the recovery.
I hope my english and my phone's situation are not too much catastrophic.
Thank you.
I'm new here so I'm not quite sure if this is the right place for my post.

[Q] HELP: Xperia M dual - "Type password to decrypt storage"

Dear Sirs
I am new to this forum and this is my first post.
I purchased sony Speria M Dual in Dec 2013.
In the month of march 2014, Phone developed a bug. One morning, when i switched on the phone after charging, phone is showing following message " Type password to decrypt storage". However, i had not set any password.
Then i took this phone to service center in Mumbai. After 15-20 days, they informed me that phone's mother board is locked and they have to change the motherboard to correct this error. And they also informed that changing mother board does not fall under WARRANTY. So they refused to solve the problem.
Phone is not rooted, Bootloader is locked. Phone is running on stock firmware...i think 4.1.2
I have tried flashing the phone thru PC companion ...but it says "update unsuccessful".
I have tried flashtool also...but again not successful.
Phone is not entering into Recovery mode.
I request you to help in resolving this problem
Regards
Kapil
Common problems disappear when flashing hh use flashtool.
Can you give me log in flashtool?
Sory for my engelish
That's nonsense! They're just basically going after the money. You don't have to replace the motherboard, that's rubbish. All you have to do is to download Flashtool by Androxyde, make sure that you have installed the proper drivers, download any FTF from the Android Development section that suits you, then flash it. If you need a more detailed explanation, then just reply...

Yes, please do post your log fron flashtool. what sony has said is a load of bullcrap, the warranty should cover it, your phone is faulty. Just for my own curiosity, do you have the adb drivers for your phone installed? And also which drivers did you install from the drivers folder in flashtool?

Okay, from the log it shows it can't flash the kernel from the ftf. Download a 4.2.2 ftf (the one for your device, 4.1.2 is for the single SIM) or a 4.3 ftf for the dual SIM and try flashing them. Post the logs, preferably in text format rather than picture format, if you get more errors.

Ok, i think i know what you might be doing wrong. Just tell me, (1) do you first press flash and wait for it to tell you to connect your phone.(2) Or do you connect your phone in flashmode and then press flash.
Just tell me 1 or 2

Download the firmware what you are currently running (15.2.A.1.12) and then press the lightning bolt in flashtool. Then click flash mode and then select the 15.2.A.1.12 firmware. Click the checkbox next to kernel and then click flash.
It appears as though your device is going into a read only state once it tries to flash the kernel.
