Thanks I'm trying this right but, would underclocking help even more if so what's a good value to keep semi fast but low on power, trying to maximize on battery life, even using greenify

With Tweaked I easily go a full day with no charging. Frequently have 30-40 percent left when I plug it in at night before I go to bed.

Try using Temasek's unofficial CM11 roms with his kernels, you can look for him on twitter "@temamsek71". I get GREAT batterly life and performance, and LOADED with features.

Battery life is horrid, am I missing something?

I'm running the stable cm 10.0 build with lean kernel. Brightness at half. From these images I'm barely achieving 9 hours with less than 3 hours of screen on time. I'm confused, I thought this rom/kernel combo was supposed to produce great battery life? Can someone help me. Thanks.

Calibrate battery if that's a new ROM give it a few days. My phone sucks battery no matter what kernel or battery. Just ordered an extended one a few hours ago. Hopefully, by the time i move to the fifth generation galaxy device, this retard battery issue will be solved

If your are planning to get a battery extension i suggest get the 3000 mAh of samsung this Jan 5th that would increase your battery life up to 49% (i read that here in XDA idk where is it but its true ) and also try TRINITY kernel would be awsome if you done like it you could revert back to lean - its only a suggestion
EDIT:
Is this your 1st battery cycle in this rom? usually that is normal the following charging cycle would be stable from what you expect
Been using this for 2-3 weeks now I was hoping it would improve but I
it hasn't. I'll give trinity kernel a try, thanks.

I would go for an extended battery but I need a case on my phone, that's the only thing holding me back. It isn't new, I've been on this for almost 3 weeks.

If you need the extended and a case, look for the seidio active extended. I did about 5 hours of research to ensure i get what fits me best.

Calibrating is useless, its a bunch of snake oil. So don't even bother with that.
Sounds like you need to check for a bad app preventing your phone from sleeping, otherwise flash to stock and re flash.

Brightness at HALF? Why??
Etabindu another
I went with the qcell extended battery, currently running the Aeonfluxx v6 rom. On heavy use days I usually have 50% battery left. My stock battery didnt last 6 hrs before. The sg3 is my second Samsung phone, and both sucked with battery life.
Try a touchwiz rom bro... might save you some battery. also less widgets, check what apps are running during sleep mode and my favorite
Just carry an extra battery <---- problem solved

Scheduler and Governors

Well guys I haven't seen anything related to this around the GS3 forums.
So, what schedulers and Governors do you use?
I seek performance with the best battery life so I use Interactive with deadline even though it kills my battery. Thinking about changing.

Unfortunately the kernel has lock ups with the set up that I had (k-serv/cfq) but its still fast as hell with row.

Which kernel do you prefer?

The subject says it all~
Which has the best batter life? That's the main thing I'm looming for!
P. S: Not trying to offend any developers out there!
All kernels out there are great, I'm just having a hard time choosing between them. Thanks for the hard work!

Freshly Unlocked, Need ROM

Ok, so I'm finally unlocked and everything and I'm looking for a good ROM. I'm sure all of the ROMs on here provided by our amazing devs are great, but I'm looking for a stock ROM. Anything higher than 4.1 and that implements the camera fixes. The most stable ROM possible.

Their all pretty good really depends on ROM and usage ... Its never the same for everyone ....
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 4
I found that battery life for the most of it is so very close its almost pointless, I also believe that the BL varies for everyone dependant on apps and usage. In any case you can most likely find tweaks for whatever ROM u want to use to help with battery life.

It depends what you're doing. Some activites kills the battery twice as others. Screen brightness, radio signal, gps on or off.....a lot of things can make a huge difference one way or the other.

Just Google it. You'll find tonnes of stuff and how to stuff on it. Can be a very powerful customization tool.
Again...nandroid before you use it a lot...just in case. Or a reflash works too. No big deal.
