I've had my HD6 for bout a year now and I need to root it to get GAPPS working right and some other things I need to make GPS based selling work on my Fire
I've come across some informative vids and threads but most are JUST outside my OS firmware or for HD7 or HD9 or something. it be optimal if I can get King root to work but from what I understand I'm right out of the firmware grasp of King Root. ANYONE PLEASE HELP?! Thanks!

If it's a D025 then you have:
Kindle Fire HD 7" 16GB
Serial# D025
Production Year: 2012
The following threads (and the additional information above) should get you on the right track providing you with some options:
Fire Index: Which Amazon Fire Do I have? by sd_shadow
[Help Thread][7" Kindle Fire HD](2nd Gen 2012) Ask Any Question, Noob Friendly by sd_shadow
Amazon 7" Kindle Fire HD, 8.9" Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire 2 - XDA Dedicated Forum
In 2012, they produced the 7" (D025) and the 8.9" (D026).
Good Luck!
