I have data off on my phone most of the time. Ideally, I'd like to use tasker/AutomateIt/etc. to turn on WiFi every day at ~6am and sync my calendar and contacts and refresh a Zooper widget to show the weather forecast for the coming day. Searching around it seems like there is no way to force a refresh of the Zooper widget. Is the best/only way to do this to set the Widget to a 30 minute refresh and make sure the WiFi is turned on for, say, 45 minutes every morning? Would this guarantee the widget would get refreshed at least once?
probably.

On my old palm pre if I did not respond to a calendar alert it would repeat every 5 minutes until I cleared it. On this phone if I'm busy and I forget to check my alert It does not notify me again.

Not sure about the stock calendar app, but I would highly recommend Business Calendar from the Marketplace for a couple bucks. It replaces the native calendar functionality, adds, much more customization, and syncs to google or any other calendar that the stock calendar can sync to.
...And perhaps most importantly, yes, not only do you get recurring alerts for meetings, but you can also configure how many it will send, (up to 50), how much time between each reminder, what sound to use, and even configure a delay between alarms when you 'snooze' that can be e.g., 5 minutes if you hit snooze quickly, or 20 minutes if you long-press snooze.
(See screen shot from one of the config pages below)

I use Calendar Snooze. Not only does it give you repeating alarms based off the stock calendar but as it's name says, it allows you to snooze the appointment for the times you get caught off guard but need a remind again say 5 minutes before the event. Another nice option is it will read out loud your appointment and location.
Very customizable and works seamlessly with the stock calendar.

Anyone else having a problem with the Calendar Agenda widget stop working after a couple of days? If I reboot it will show the Agenda, but then after awhile it will just grey out.

Here is a screen shot that shows the Agenda widget not working.
It appears the problem is more than just the calendar widget. If I try to add another widget, they just say loading or are blank.
I have found that the only way to get the widgets working again is to Force Stop TouchWiz home. The widgets will continue to work for a set number of days and then freeze again.
This isn't a huge problem because everything works but it is an annoying item that seems like it should be able to be resolved. I have a widget created in Zooper for the counts of my sms messages and three gmail accounts. The issue is, that the widget doesn't update unless I turn the phone off and on again. So for example, I get an email and it shows a 1 next to that account. I go in gmail and read it. I press my home button to come back to the screen and the counter is still at 1. This doesn't change to 0 until I turn the phone off and on. It also will go to zero when the the minute changes on my zooper-made clock widget.
Any idea how to get my counts widget to update when I've read or cleared my notifications without having to turn my phone off or wait for the minute to change?
I use tasker for a few things and was hoping there was a way I could just set up a task that when I exit sms or gmail apps I can do a force update, but I haven't figured that out.
Thanks for you help
im facing the same problem dude hope a support would be able to explain
I think it's because zooper widget update value is set once per minute. If you will look closely widget updates when - unlock from lockscreen after some time or every time minute passes. It's solution to prevent battery drain. It don't monitor other states than minute change.
Can that be changed ?
hi. i use a time and weather widget for zooper in lockscreen, but the refresh time is very slow from 2 seconds to 30 seconds
I means that when i want to check the time from lockscreen, after turning on my display, the time not updates and shows past time.
i also mark the "standby update" in zooper settings, but not fix
any one can guide me to how we can set refresh time for widget time? ?
Is the only one who has the problem with the automatic refreshing of the weather widget on galaxy watch 1? It doesn't matter if I set it to refresh every hour or 4, if I have a location turn on, wifi, whatever, the widget does not refresh unless I force it. I saw here that people had a problem with it, but none of the advice given helped me. Someone, something?
