Hello,
I am trying to flash the recovery partition of my galaxy TAB 3.
I have tried with windows XP and Windows 7 x64. Odin 3.07 and 3.07
I tried flashing T210.CWM.6.0.4.7.recovery.tar as well as many others.
I am able to reset my device each time with kies that it messes up.
I got this tab free from time warner, I am trying just to be able to flash custom ROMS.
I have searched for the past 2 days trying to figure it out.
When I flash it with odin, it says Failed and turns red. Then on the tablet the blue download progress bar moves, then when I reboot it is messed up.
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

Anyone have any recommendations?
So I am just replying to let anyone / whoever might want to know.
I used windows 7 x64, used heimdall 1.4, uninstall kies, all USB drivers. Installed the heimdall drivers and followed the instructions with:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47060381#post47060381
Mac heimdall didn't work, ubuntu didn't work, windows did

I flashed to Stock with ODIN and it went successful then I downloaded the updated firmware version to flash through ODIN because it wouldn't update through KIES or from itself and half way through, it failed and now it says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
It doesn't work through Kies, it just keeps trying to connect but no connection so I tried to flashing back to the old firmware through ODIN again and everything works successful until this part

I've tried everything but switch to a different computer to try it on, what do you guys think I should do?
How interesting, after hours and hours of stress, all I did was flash stock recovery through ODIN and now it rebooted fine
I installed Jellykat rom V4
and was using twrp recovery ...
I tried a few roms for installation Like (cm10 nightlies, ressurection remix) But everytime it was showing faliure in installation in recovery
So i decided to switch to CMW recovery.
i m using odin v3.07
i tried flashing CMW 6 touch , it installed but ,before it showed pass i removed my device
and after that when i try to open recovery it stucks on showing "SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 2 GT-N7100 "
and when i tried to flash another recovery(a previous version 5.08) or the same it shows FAIL in odin
So i m stuck with this rom and cannot access my recovery.
NEED HELP
please someone who knows how to solve HELP ME!!!!!:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

Try flashing a stock rom via odin. This will restore your stock recovery and you can further change it according to your needs. Then you can try out other roms.
Good afternoon, and thank you for taking your time to read my thread.
I recently attempted to root my phone, and having little to no issue rooting many other devices (including my previous phone, a Galaxy Prevail) I decided I was fed up with the bloatware.
I began the process, but encountered an issue where ODIN failed while attempting to root the device.
I am not 100% sure, but I know this information may very well help me to a solution: I don't think I enabled debug mode in settings.
When attempting to use KIES to restore firmware, I get a "this device is not recognized" error, and even when trying to manually enter S/N and device info, it will not let me use any part of KIES to restore it.
So I then tried to use ODIN to flash stock firmware...
First error I receive is almost immediate:

Please, if you have any advice for me I am begging.. I only was able to upgrade to this device because of a promotion AT&T had to get it for $5 dollars.. I am very income restricted so buying a new device is a crippling idea. If you do by chance suggest I download a new version of ODIN ( I am using 3.07, I find it most stable) or a new stock firmware etc, please provide links as I have attempted many different mirrors (with horrendous download speeds) for different stock recovery firmware.
THANK YOU!!!
I appreciate your time.. All it took was attempting to root the phone another time to restore access... Wow.. I hate myself ._.

So, what's the state of the phone now and what happens when you try to power on? Is it now booting normally to system?
This morning I flashed Lineage 14.1 and there were no errors. But it got stuck at the Samsung logo during reboot. I waited about 15 minutes. I could not figure out how to fix it so I decided to flash the stock firmware using Odin. It passed but also got stuck at the same screen during reboot. Then I did a hard system recovery but still could not boot past the Samsung logo. After that I install Samsung Kies 3, but it said the phone is no longer supported. Then I tried Kies 2.6 but it said the phone SGH-M919 does not support initialization. Now I can't get to the system recovery screen anymore. It would say there is an issue with the firmware update and try again in Kies. I cannot flash the stock firmware in Odin anymore either. It would fail with a complete write error. I don't know what else to try. Please help me.
Did you confirm the phone's model # in download mode?
You tried different USB cables, different USB ports, and different versions of Odin?
What was the exact Odin error?
Yes, the model is correct SGH-M919. I've tried Odin 3.0.7 and 3.10.6. I used Odin 3.0.7 to root and install TWRP recovery using the same original Samsung USB cable. So the cable and port should be OK. I tried it again this morning and noticed it took a long time after the message "Get PIT for mapping.."

I tried it again using a different USB port and this time it failed right away. I didn't see the line "Get PIT for mapping" this time. Here are the messages in Odin.

I was using the USB ports at the front of the PC and none of them worked. I tried one port at the back and it worked. Thank you very much. I never thought this would make a difference because I use the ports in the front all the time with my other iPhones, iPads, USB memory sticks and never had a problem. I lost all my data on the phone but that's OK. I would not dare to install custom ROM again. It looked so easy in youtube videos. Thanks again.
Glad you got it working. I always use the ports at the back of my desktop because I find it more reliable than the front case ports.
Need help recovering SM-T310 8", stuck at boot screen, Odin won't load TWRP onto it
I've been trying to get this tab back in working order for several hours now - When I first started working on it, all it showed was the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 3" screen, going right back to that when I turn it off (not even staying off.) I tried putting it in download mode (Power+Down+Home, it does work) and loading TWRP 3.1.1 with Odin (tried both 3.07 and 3.12.3) and it fails almost immediately after hitting Start, Kies won't recognize it over USB, and when I put in the model and S/N it says it's "not eligible".
Also, I've tried using the stock recovery mode, but the factory reset doesn't help, and it doesn't recognize the format of the only rom I could find for it (that doesn't require a premium membership.) It's a .tar.md5, TWRP is supposed to be able to handle it, but the system recovery doesn't see it at all.

Help, please? I've gone through multiple past threads here and on other sites I found on Google to get this far, but I've been unable to make any appreciable progress.
