thank you bubor
I love PAC rom's
use it and report
Using this ROM for more than a week. It's very stable, and no issues so far except known that exists on all kitkat ROMs (one can find them in first post, and also avi isn't playing in default player and capacitive buttons (menu, home, back) are not responding sometimes for a couple of seconds after going out of deep sleep).
I already said about loads of features and customizations here, it's really great to have so many options to fine-tune the ROM, and there are even prebuilt build.prop and init.d tweaks (GPU interface acceleration make phone usage so smooth!). The PAC-Performance for CPU clock control allows to disable second core in our CPU, and this is what I recommend to everyone! The battery last longer with disabled second core and there are no performance lags at all in everyday tasks! That's much better option than to change governor for battery saving. Of course, you should enable second core back when playing games.
@Makshow:
how does it compare to bubor's previous (4.3 based) PAC-releases, if you were using these? my i927 is still on the 20131106 build because I was ~roughly satisfied with stability and usability and didn't want to risk an jolly acceptable setup
@bubor:
Is this beast easy to build with your posted roomservice manifest, or does it need manual tinkering, give compile errors or so?
need a custom kernel build because I want to track per-process I/O usage with iotop and fatrace within my debian chroot and they need non-default CONFIG_TASKSTATS, CONFIG_TASK_DELAY_ACCT, CONFIG_TASK_IO_ACCOUNTING and CONFIG_FANOTIFY...
4.3 PAC and 4.4 PAC are different things. Prior to 4.4 PAC meant a blend of PA, AOKP and CM ROMs, so it has almost all the features of these roms for the cost of RAM and stability. PAC 4.4 was made from scratch based on CM 11 with additions of many non-heavy features taken from other ROMs. So the RAM usage is almost the same as in CM 11, but there are no PA UI settings, no AOKP 9-target lockscreen slider and so on. But there are OmniSwitch, Active Screen, Identicons... The most notable change from CM 10.2 to CM 11 is new Trebuchet launcher - but you should look at it yourself.
In 20140327 it was still an alpha release, but a stable one (credits for this are going to bubor's kernel and build tree, I presume. All ROMs he built are very stable).
hi bubor
I can not use theme on this rom
please check it
Thank you Bubor for this PAC build and keeping the glide still a kicking device. I've been a fan of PAC roms since the first time I flashed one. Currently I'm still on the 4.2.2 rom by Kick, mostly for 1 reason, I can choose from a range of governors (from the LiteKernel by thegreatergood).
Is there a way you can port the governors from that kernel to something compatible for this rom? I tried decompiling the kernel when the PAC 4.3 came out, but I just got lost (I don't think I was using the programs correctly, or the correct programs). The link for the kernel mentioned is here (scroll down for the 4.2 version),

Original litekernel doesnt support selinux, I dont think its right to use that.
What governor do you need?
Litekernel has many other modifications, include only governor is easy tasks.
I mostly use Wheatley, seems to be the nicest on performance vs battery life (IMO). If that one can't be added, then SmartAssV2 .

included in the latest release, please test it and report back.
Setup wizard - not working
Just flashed the newest release (factory and internal sd), and a popup saying "Setup wizard has stopped. Blame the Split Screen" appeared. I keep clicking the "ok", but it won't go away. Behind it, there is a popup saying something about the ASOP keyboard has stopped. :-/
I'm going to try the version before this, then try flashing this version over that (to avoid the setup wizard).
[Edit]
I tried the previous version (factory and internal sd), same setup problem. So I installed the 4.2.2 (kick) PAC (bare setup), then installed the newest PAC version on top without any wipe. It skipped the setup wizard, but kept showing errors and blaming it on the split screen (mostly the keyboard crashing, even in places where the keyboard isn't used like the settings menu).
Lol, I did factory reset, but still not welcome wizard at all.
would you send me logcat?

Took awhile to get the computer to see the device (computer kept saying "unable to install drivers"). After I got the logs running, I pressed "ok" a few times at the setup wizard place, saved the logs...then the computer lost connection with the device.
Hopefully this log does something good, I'm going back to the Kick version of PAC till something is found.
p.s. for this test, I FC then went straight to installing the new PAC
Yes, I didn't have welcome wizard too when installed PAC. I thought: "wow, how convenient!". I was a bit tired of this wizard when installing many different ROMs.
Installed 20140416 version on top of 20140327. Everything went smooth, no issues so far. Let's test some new governors.
---------- Post added at 02:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:59 PM ----------
Wheatley governor seems to work as intended. A fine thing, but I still prefer Interactive with second core offline. Less lags, and 1 core with interactive should be less battery consuming than 2 cores with Wheatley? Or not? Will test it someday.
Smartass and smartass2 seems to be not working as intended. Smartass ramps the clock to 816 Mhz and stays on it whole time when the screen is on, Smartassv2 makes the same, but with 1000 Mhz like performance governor.
Also, there is no access to the settings for any of these three governors.

dont you think disable one core makes it bugs?
It works "fine" for me, I mean it changes min to max well when both core enabled.
After new ROM flashed, kernel settings are reset to default, so both cores were enabled. When screen is off, governors are also working fine: gradually slows the CPU and entering deep sleep. Well, maybe, there's some problem on my side because I did no wipe before install. I wasn't going to use smartass anyway.
By the way, thank you for a ROM update!
Would it be possible to get just the kernel? Or apply the updates to grakernel? The PAC ROMs seem inherently unstable, (I call it the "Too Much ****" syndrome) but your unofficial cm11 ROMs are rock solid. Best Glide ROM thus far.

This rom is NOT MIUI, nor is it based off of MIUI!!!!
Please take a bit to explore it, and you will find some awesome features unique to this rom/os.
some unique features include:
*The neat thing about this utility os, is that individual apps (contacts, launcher, ect) can be updated separately, and you are notified when thay are available, separately from the base os.
*Has tons of battery saving options.
*Beautiful ui
*Tons of options that make using this os a joy
*Make and restore backups of contacts, texts and phone, anytime, anywhere. From the cloud or your tab
*Very fast and super responsive
*uses BOCA MSI kernel (see post #3 for kernel features)
*select individual themes for each contact/message
*record your own alarm
*so very much more!!

It will also get better, as this baby OS grows, and also gains popularity.
WEATHER
It does not have global support at this time, but the production team says it will arrive in a week or two, (which has now been two months)
They are deciding which service to use, or to buy their own.

DO NOT DO A SYSTEM UPDATE THROUGH THE ROM!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are free to update anything individually, just not the whole system.
If you see these images, do not update:
Install Instructions
For Coming From Any Rom That isn't BOCA, MIUI or unofficial port based off of CM7 (Teks)
(see below for those instructions)
As you all know, when switching from rom to rom, something called a safe stock re-partitioned is very much preferred, almost required. Even more so, when jumping from roms with different os bases, example is going from a 2.3 based rom to a 2.3.7 (or reverse).
You need to do this process to kinda bleach out anything that remains of the old rom, as many times these arent properly cleared through a recovery erase, and can leave behind bits and pieces that can, and frequently do, disrupt the next rom you try to run. This is never a good thing, as it can cause anything from a bootloop to mysterious ghost like behaviors. Not to mention many things many not work correctly in your new rom.
Team Overcome has created, or basically repacked a way to do this. Many thanks!!!!
TeamOvercome website HERE
1) Go to Overcomes website, and download a zip called: ROM | 001001-GB-Stock-Safe-v5
(this is the base, non branded 'official' release of Gingerbread from Samsung. Overcome has made a few modifications to this file, and added Odin, modems and Samsung SGT driver installer to the zip)
2) While at the Overcome site, also download a zip called: KERNEL | 002001-Overcome Kernel V3.3.1 (TAR)
(this is a kernel made by AB, with some nice work done to it. But what we need it for is to convert our system to ext4. It will not run BOCA)
3) Unzip the GB-Stock zip, and open it up.
4) Open SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_x86, and run it. This will reinstall, and clean up any old drivers for your tab.
5) plug in your tab when done, and let you computer fully install you SGT's drivers. Once its finished, unplug your tab.
6) Unplug any USB devices from your computer, & Open Odin3_v1.7, once it opens, plug your tab back in to your computer, in download mode.
Under ID:COM, a yellow window should now state your tabs is connected.
7) Place gt-p1000_mr.pit inside the PIT slot, PDA slot, place: GB_Stock_Safe_v5.tar
8) Make sure Re-partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked, press start.
9) Once finished, and your tab has rebooted, press reset in Odin. On your tab, skip through all the setup options, and reboot into download mode.
10) Plug your tab back into your computer, and place: 002001-Overcome_Kernel_v3.3.1.tar into the PDA slot, and press start.
11) Let your tabs sexy robot voice convert your system, once done, boot into recovery, clear everything, go to zip installer, and choose BOCA from your SD card. Let install, and then reboot.
12) As with ANY rom, please do a full battery calibration with the included apk, ASAP.
13) Enjoy BOCA!!
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
(For when coming from BOCA, MIUI or unofficial port based off of CM71) Boot into your current recovery and clear dalvic cache, cache and user data/factory reset
2) Go to zip installer and choose BOCA from your SD card
3) Boot into BOCA, and reboot again.
4) As with ANY rom, please do a full battery calibration with the included apk, ASAP.

I also ported/booted up the ics version of this os. And also ported the LiGux rom/os on the tab.
Both currently have 3g but no wifi - YET!! wifi should be pretty easy to fix.
Ics dx version needs quite a bit more work. Is a bit, uh, unique.
They definetly took a different approach there!
The LiGux os/rom, I dont think is worth continuing on, so i stopped.

@all
i realize there is a descepency between the test release and this one, in terms of speed and smoothness.
I am fixing it, please dont let my mess up ruin your thoughts on this os.
As testers will tell you, it really is a very snappy rom, snappier in some aspects than BOCA RC1!
hi dizgustipated, this rom is awesome and beautifull
i can't find proxy setting for my wifi connection
but mobile data is working well

Can I use Overcome Kernal V 4.0.0 ?
Went to the official website and browsed the chinese version. Are we using the 1.0 or 2.0? Can't really seem to find the download link for it tho. Their app is equally interesting too.
I read from the link in the OP that ICS is available already?
This is surely an interesting ROM to try, I could probably help with translations if you need any.
Cheers!

I can send u the original test version.
That one really flies!
Again the lag is my fault.
On test run even browser was smooth
and i blew out my 3g data using netflix. Was smooth, but hate tmoble and the way they slow your data down to basically edge if you go over 5 gigs. So annoying!!
Lag and rom speed is almost fixed and back to the tester speed.
Unfortunately I really need wifi, because of my stupid sim card that does not want to work anymore! So I'll wait your progresses...as usual! ;-) thanks again!!

its pretty nifty, especially when used with recommended app
Testing, then a new kernel release
Hi Diz!
Thanks again for another great rom to try. Just FYI as I noticed that someone had asked. I was on your Boca 2.3.7 and had to change back to stock 2.3.6 because I couldn't use my phone/internet at the same time. Not sure, but I think AT&T was blocking it as it was listed as being a tablet in the description?
Anyway, I rooted using Superoneclick(had to manually reboot and manually add busybox and superuser, but I got my root back. I then used Odin to flash Overcome Kernel version 4.0.0 so that it would put Clockworkmod onto SD card so I could backup the 2.3.6 Samsung software.
My point being, I was able to use Overcome's kernel to flash this new Boca DX. I know you said to use CM's but being the daring flashaholic that I am, I gave it a whirl. I have always been a fan especially since purple is my favorite color. I am one of your contributor's and appreciate all that you do to keep things exciting and new!
Have a great day/night!

Building CM10 successful.
[UPDATE 20121113] Back to userdebug instead of eng.
Android 4.1.2 compiling now.. New PDroid patches for 4.1.2 working.
Plugin your device via USB (ADB enabled) for the extract-files part!
Code:
mkdir ~/cm10
cd ~/cm10
repo init -u git://github.com/sgt7/android.git -b jellybean
repo sync
cd vendor/cm
./get-prebuilts
cd ../..
source build/envsetup.sh
lunch cm_p1n-userdebug
cd device/samsung/p1
./extract-files.sh
cd ../../..
time make -j6 bacon
# cm_p1n-userdebug, cm_p1l-userdebug or cm_p1c-userdebug for CDMA
# -j6 for 2 threads per core (3 cores here)
Using the following right now, in .repo/local_manifest.xml, to get all humberos updates. extract-files takes care of the proprietary files.
Code:
<project name="humberos/android_kernel_samsung_p1" path="kernel/samsung/p1" remote="github" revision="cm-10.0.0" />
<project name="humberos/android_device_samsung_p1-common" path="device/samsung/p1-common" remote="github" revision="jellybean" />
Not needed anymore: If compiling with PDroid, gotta delete a couple files so it won't exceed the 65536 method limit:
Code:
rm frameworks/base/telephony/java/com/android/internal/telephony/{SonyQualcommRIL.java,HTCQualcommRIL.java,LGEQualcommRIL.java,LGEQualcommUiccRIL.java,MotoWrigley3GRIL.java,SemcRIL.java,Smdk4210RIL.java}
Not needed anymore.
Cheers!
BUGs, Video, Camera, etc...
BUGs? You tell me.
My build should have the same flaws as official CM nightlies, humberos and cdesai builds.
HW Video working!
Camera working!
New partition layout!
Tablet Mode!
Better memory management!
[UPDATE 20120914]
New build out with all the goodies so far...
Never seen Youtube Apps and Videos so fast, EVER on this Tab. Never seen HD videos so crisp and clear, 0 stutter with HW acceleration! MX Player was updated with new HW+ codec, which makes video, that normally wouldn't, work in HW!
[UPDATE 20120911]
@humberos 20120908 build has HW video accel and New Partition Layout! Pretty good. My PDroid Patches work fine with it.
Test videos for HW codec: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25215203&postcount=805
I use MX Player.
Reporting Bugs
Before reporting a bug, please make sure you are running as stock as possible. This means no custom kernel, no custom framework modification, etc. If you are using any of the above modifications, please flash the rom again to get rid of the modifications before reporting.
Please read the thread for known issues before reporting.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.
Code:
What is your--
Tablet model:
Radio (baseband):
CM version:
CM Download url:
Gapps version:
Did you--
wipe:
restore with titanium backup:
reboot after having the issue:
Are you using--
a task killer:
a non-stock kernel:
CMSettings/Performance settings (other than stock):
other modifications:
Provide any additional information (observations/frequency of problem/last version it worked on/etc) as needed:
thanks alroger
Thanks Alroger, are there any bugs in this version?
Would be nice if H/W acceleration is present..720p and 1080p videos can't play smoothly. Waiting for the next release.
I tried to change screen resolution (from 160 to 240 dpi) and after that the tab refuse to start and don't go over the bootscreen. I wiped all the data and install everything and after that the tab boot normally. I think there is something wrong with different screen resolution, another guy has the same problem with humberos release (maybe the kernel?)

I don't think it works in 240... not yet at least.
160 and 120 work fine for me.
How did you change dpi? If you used an ago, it'll just boot loop. I'm using one of the CM10 kangs and 240 dpi works well.

Thank you Alroger; I was waiting for your return to test JB.. No other rom gives all the goodies and pdroid patch !
It's so good; it took me the same time to flash than previously, no problem happened, all applications/data were still present.
One little thing though; on your cafe-ti page, the link to humberos blog got me on his nexus build page, which was a little confusing...
Alroger's rom is really awesome, except the known bugs, the only pity I found is the battery runs quickly after using. Hope it can be solved soon.

Well, it's a link to the blog.. and his latest post is CM10 for the Nexus.. since there is no "fixed" post for SGT7 CM10, I leave you with the whole blog, that always has something new to share.
For example, I always use it as a heimdall command line reference... just search for heimdall in there and we find the holy full restock command line with repartitioning.

I don't feel it bad on battery consumption.
Similar to the plain Hombertos build which I monitored for 48 hrs consuming 30% on low usage, mostly standby so giving up to 6/7 days on this.
Now I have 19 hrs with 15% but have been driving around and surfing with it...
Bye,

Alroger
Well As i Know, updater.sh its not updated in sgt7 repo so the builds dont boot with the new layout, you will have to copy from cyanogenmod repo into the zip to get it boot with the new repartition. I am just comparing both builds the official and mine adding to the local manifiest the following.
<project name="sgt7/android_device_samsung_p1-common" path="device/samsung/p1-common" remote="github" revision="jellybean" />
<project name="humberos/android_kernel_samsung_p1" path="kernel/samsung/p1" remote="github" revision="cm-10.0.0" />
<project name="TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_samsung" path="vendor/samsung" remote="github" revision="jellybea
But mine is a litle laggy so i think some more things are not updated in sgt7 repo.
cheers.
Also with humberos kernel I dont get the boot animation.
Tried to flash this over the last humeros cm10 build (20120823), just reboots after about 15 seconds after installation starts in cwm.
Ideas?

Versioning explained:
>>>>>>>>>|0.92*|>>>> alpha>>>>>>beta>>>>RC>>>>1.0>>>>>
*0.92 will be removed as an option once RC comes out
This ROM is a spin-off from Mr. Linscue's and CyanogenMod sources.
What makes it different is that it is built with Linaro toolchain, current 4.7., instead of Google supplied one.
It's a product of my curiosity, Mr. Linkscue's extensive patience with helping me to understand the whole picture and his work so far on our devices. This wouldn't be possible without him.
To be able to build with Linaro toolchain there is a lot of CM source editing and git cherry-picking to make code fit for Linaro's GCC so the final ROM can actually be compiled. Thanks to Open Source, Android, internet and XDA-devs, I have been able to make it real by collecting the info and conveying it to this ROM.
I have to remind you, this is my personal build, it was never intended to be released to the wide public, I'm not a programmer/coder and there is no warranty.
Few notes:
1
The build: This is a first functional build through Linaro for this phone. It's compiled with -O3 flag, so /system (ROM) side is 90% optimized. I' m continuing to find proper code snippets that will further improve the build.
2
Battery life. Kernel used is prebuilt Lenovo, therefore battery life should be similar to official ROM, bar the specific LenovoPower settings, however if you are installing CM you are expected to know how to manage your phone. Without Lenovo's updated kernel sources, further optimizations are not possible, either for performance or extending battery life. If you are experiencing poor battery life, there are two things, 1. You have just I nstalled the ROM, give it a few days for system to settle in. There are few things going on during first day or two that might deteriorate your battery life 2. You have an app installed that is keeping your phone awake, preventing it to go to deep sleep. You can install BetterBatteryStats from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809 and find the offending app.
3
If you like it, use it. We are fixing general bugs as we go, and we know what those are. You may report them here but don't expect them to be fixed. Any app addition request or AOKP/MIUI/whatever port will not be entertained. As I said in the beginning, this is my personal build and I'm just sharing it with you.

easily a 5 star for me since i dont know any programming/coding and im too lazy to do so...almost no support on lenovo ROM side so this addition is very much welcome...please keep it updated and kudos/respect to you my sir :good::good:
my only request would be a transparent and small on screen button for more screen orientation (see attached of my current screen)

I'm sorry, you are talking about transparent taskbar? That iis as much as I could understand from the pics you posted.
To put it bluntly, what is going on now is trying to build kernel from source to match 4.2.2 and then cleaning up of proprietary files. Any UI polishing/additions I might consider at later date. So far, it seems to be a very far date But hey, it is functioning so far and sorry, but no..

Phone board/bootloader recognizes several operating modes like off charge, on, off, test etc. Mr. Scue identified them and it is working, however there is a problem that when you boot the phone after charging it in off mode, screen will turn white around the edges sometimes. For safety of your devices this part of functionality is not included yet.
I'm not familiar with the USSD problem yet. Will have a look into it, but if it wasn't working in official release, it could take time to make it working here.

Ok, this questions now are going out of topic but let's chase this rabbit down the hole.
I am not familiar with the workings of youtube app (I assume you have successfully installed Play store and had it installed from there) so I am not sure what video/audio codecs it uses.
I can tell you right now one thing, related to video playback and Samsung's OMX codecs (the ****ty opensource ones) hw accel. video on this ROM is currently broken. I will soon reissue the ROM with files from official ROM to have that part working again, until I sort out what gets broken on OSS ones.
Currently I'm hands deep in kernel, I managed to transplant updated mali drivers into the old source to make it run on 4.2.2 and did some ugly hack job on HAL layer to have CM working, I have it at system stable level now. I'm tired and sorry for not being of much help, please google yourself and see what exactly are youtube app dependencies to make the videos run. If it uses on board hw codecs, I already told you what is the problem.
EDIT: try to disable GPU rendering for a test, in Developer options. just to see.
I flash several times this rom and always the same 2 problems ! Wifi doesnt work ! Stays there it said "turning wifi on..." and the 2nd camera program ( i dont remember the name ) always force close !!! Thanks

You have to have a custom recovery like TWRP, Philz or CWM installed.
- Download the kernel
- Reboot to recovery
- A backup is always recommended
- Flash the zip file
- You're done! Reboot and enjoy.
Via Flashify
- Make sure that you are rooted.
- Download the zip and extract the boot.img
- Download the free app Flashify (Caution: Free Version only allows 3 flashes per day!)
- Grant Flashify Root permissions.
- In main screen, select Boot image and navigate to the previously extracted boot.img

Please do not make mirrors! If you need one, please post a reply here, and we'll make it happen. Thanks.
If you apply Interactive in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

"The leak" - There are more leaks than either of us can count, some little ones here and there, and all of them hidden. Unlikely that there ever will come a time that there are no leaks at all
But I guess that you are reffering to the major leak with 5.0? That is in the Rom and framework afaik, and thus not my department to fix. I'm not even sure if 5.1 has the proper fix merged to be honest :/
Flashed on top of Alliance v3, a T-mobile based ROM. Everything is super smooth, call audio is fine, GPS test can't see any satellites. Will try some more stuff to see if I can get it to work and then report back.
EDIT:
Flashed the GPS fix from mythos in the international thread.
That post is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60932260
Just flashed and rebooted, didn't even wipe cache / dalvik. Worked like a charm!

sorry off topic, but do you think we will get miui ported over to here at some point?

My profile pic, isn't it? Usually there are votings held in the english MIUI forum to decide which phone will (first) get an official port. By the amount of development and users on XDA, I'd put my bets rather on the edge-less S6. But since we can run their Roms too that should not be too big of a problem.
Then again the official 3rd party MIUI not always is a shining light at the horizon. I never liked it. If there are bugs, they won't always get fixed, very frustrating, but understandable - MiPhones do have priority. As to unofficial porting.. I have literally no idea, but it would be nice to see some CM12.1 and MIUI over here, altough I somehow doubt the latter..

Never tried it, to be honest. I always stick with Interactive

thx for the kernel, @mythos234 . smooth as butter.
only one thing i've noticed, but it's not isolated to just your kernel. i've had this issue periodically in the past on nexus devices using aosp roms. it always came back to an issue in the kernel... not the rom. this issue is also present in another kernel in the forums for the s6 edge.
the issue is with google play movies not working. the app will open and you can select a movie, but a few seconds after hitting the play button there is a black screen and then it errors out. it doesn't matter if you are streaming the movie or if it's a downloaded one. black screen and then an error.
i've attached a log of the errors.
oh... i'm running simplrom btw.
thx, brosef.

I dont seem to be able to get bluactive to stick after switching to it; is there a trick to making it active?
I clidk the check mark after changing to it, but after a reboot, its back to interactive..
thanks! This kernel works great on international/s^/Tmobile any rom I have tried it on! :good::good:

Did Synapse boot up correctly or did it say something like "Synapse boot cancelled" in the form of a standard toast message?
it does at first, but then it seems to get SU permission, and appears to load correctly...
thanks!

Hello guys!
My work on Z1 is done. I will provide little to no support. I moved on to S8+
Some of you may have tried my custom kernel, I have now made another one (I've been running it for like half a year, couldn't decide whether to release it or not).
With this kernel I put stability on first place, then battery life, then performance. Don't expect flashy stuff. If it breaks anything or is cumbersome to implement then I won't do that.
Changelog:
Changes in V8.3:
Fixup code indentation to get rid of all the warnings during compilation.
Final release
Changes in V8.2:
Disable selinux spam in dmesg, it's permissive so AVC messages are unnecessary. That should improve both performance and battery, might not matter at all.
Replaced most of MMC code with one plus one's, that should massively improve internal memory handling.
Replaced the entire qdsp6v2 code with OPO's - this improved mic a million, speakers also seem to work better
Reworked cpu calculations a bit
Changes in V8/1:
Fixed most of sdcard issues - it is now the best kernel to use with SDcards
Replaced most of outdated camera code with One Plus One code, which should improve camera usage massively.
Changes in V7.5(unreleased):
Fixup code formatting
Enable booting with idle GPU freq - 27MHz
Enable stereo call recording thanks @DooMLoRD
Update prima/pronto (wifi drivers) to latest ones
Remove WiFi debugging - useless, provides better battery and performance
Fix NEON and VFP functions to work earlier on boot
Implemented Adreno Idler - helps with GPU Idling
Simple GPU Algorithm by @faux123 - this enables better GPU freq scaling
Implemented msm-sleeper, that allows for lower CPU freqs and less used cores with screen off.
Fixup of fast-charge
better handling of powersuspend based on display state
Changes in V7:
Implemented Intellithermal_v2
Added fast charge as requested, I didn't see much change in charging times to be honest and people have said its not safe to use, but it's there.
Possibly brought back breathing notifications.
Changes in V6.5:
Updated toolchain to linaro 6.2.1
Use hard float and neon FPU - this might provide quite an improvement to overall performance and battery life
Update device ramdisk to actual .236 - all booting issues should be gone along with update nagging
Update TWRP to 3.2
Changes in V6.2:
New bootlogo by IRL friend.
Changes in V6.1:
This is mostly a bugfixing version
Added additional last_kmsg support
MX ROM users - PLEASE SEND LAST_KMSG from this version, it still won't boot yet, so make a backup of your previous kernel in TWRP!
New features in V6:
TWRP 3.0.0.0 (No multirom version yet, let me know if you really need it!)
3x faster int sqrt
selinux fixes
Bigger interval of battery level check
More conservative readahead
Send one packet at a time for touchscreen
Power efficient work queues (better cpu task queuing)
Low memory killer - starts caring about high ram
Faster camera startup and operation
Memory aligning to sector size
GPU optimization flags
Better managment of writing files back to memory
CPU freq/gov fixes
msm limiter - allows for better limiting of cpu freq
Update wifi driver (supposedly)
Update toolchain to Linaro 5.2, latest stable Linaro toolchain!
Change display colors to get less yellowish/warm colors thanks @tomascus !
Please go into white balance in system and reduce blue to around 110 for better white.
GCC 5 cortex a15 CPU optimizations
Notification LED API, from now on it's pulsing instead of blinking on notification
Remove RIC from ramdisk init (this should fix booting issues for some)
Removed few unused defconfig entries
Boost CPU freq when migrating threads from one cpu to another
From V6 I'm packing ramdisk on every kernel build
Using latest sony mkqcdtbootimg, that should improve stuff with boot.img DT's.
Noop is a default I/O sched. It's very good for spindleless disks (Flash memory, SSD's)
Force permissive selinux at all times. It won't go to restrictive anymore.
use memcpy, memmove, copy_page memory optimizations for MSM8974.
Fixed idle cpu calculations
Lots of EXT4 filesystem fixes
Very optimize
Much fast
So battery
Wow
New features in V5:
Further improved sdcard speed
Now compiling Prima WiFi driver with kernel. Faster and more stable WiFi.
New governor - Intelli MinMax - my favourite for now
Finally implemented Intelliplug 4.0 - default hotplug mpdecision replacement by faux123
Corrected notification LED brightness levels
Cleaned up the source a bit
Features of V4:
latest 14.6.A.1.216 source code
Enabled higher eMMC frequencies
disabled cpu boost on screen wakeup
optimized code to get lower CPU usage overall (not by removing anything or slowing stuff down!)
very low minimum screen brightness on the minimal brightness (disable automatic brightness for that and move slider all the way to the left)
Faux's Sound control
Kcal Color control
RIC disabled by default
corrected reported GPU frequency
conservative and ondemand optimizations
Venkat Kamesh's ramdisk that allows flawless multiboot + my own bootlogo (pretty funny )
General performance improvements
gpu optimizations
optimized for Cortex A15 cores (just like krait)
Linaro 4.8 toolchain instead of the GCC 4.7
OOM optimizations
memory optimizations
stability fixes
general performance improvements
intelliactive governor
config.gz viewable in /proc
Nvidia Shield cpu power patches - great battery improvement
added new, shiny quickwakeup and powersuspend drivers that help improving battery life even further
MultiRom Support
MultiRom TWRP
Fixed in kernel random numbers generation - seeder is completely not needed with my kernel.

If you get a bootloop, random reboot, whatever, ALWAYS send me last_kmsg log - PRESS HERE for a guide on how to do this, if you don't do that, I won't fix it. Any post with something like "REBOOT, HALP PLS' or "BOOTLOOP, NO WORK" will be reported and then removed.
If you installed XZDR recovery before, some custom rom or you're just not coming from a stock clean rom, please flash THIS before flashing my kernel. It will remove RIC and remnants of XZDR recovery which prevents kernels from booting. Thanks to @venkat kamesh for original script and thanks to @Snp Mania2 for figuring out the problem!

Hey nice kernel buddy,
Just a heads up regarding breaking Wifi and external sdcard - if you look at the dmesg you can see that the wlan module and texfat module (and wp_mod and byeselinux too) get broken with some changes to kernel, so those modules would need to be compiled together with the kernel.
I believe texfat is proprietary (no source code =.= ) so the only choice would be to switch to another file system for ext SD such as vfat.
Wlan module is just a regular prima module, I took mine from a AOSP build, which is usually found in drivers/staging/ .
wp_mod and byeselinux has source code you can just compile from too if those break.

Thanks for the heads up, that's what's stopping me from getting intelliplug. Have you tried the kernel and lost wifi and external sdcard? Also, I think you meant exfat, not texfat, right?
It's so weird especially since both wifi and sdcard work for me and I haven't had any bootloop since the first build ?

Nah I mean texfat, it's the default format used if you format it through normal settings. I haven't tried your kernel because i'm testing my own right now, but my WiFi and sdcard would be broken without custom compiled wlan and formatting my sdcard to another type.
Personally I have no idea how to get around this or if it is even possible, since the changes completely screw up files depended on by the modules

I sent you a PM. I cannot use anything apart from exfat as I have a 128GB sdcard + it would be useless for my users. Please do try my kernel, just for a second or anybody else just to confirm that it works properly. @agha_jo0n had a bootloop and I want to make sure it's something on his side, not on the kernel side, as I mentioned, I didn't have a single boot issue with my kernel. The only problems I had were with WiFi and SDCard, but they should work properly with this release as it does work allright on my device. I even reflashed it like 30 minutes ago just to make sure.

I flashed it a while ago and all working fine so far wifi is fine, no boot loops, didn't even wipe dalvik .. considering it though, since viper4android is not working correctly. Your kernel is the only one though where I could make it work (install driver) I'll do a clean install of one of the .216 ROMs (currently I'm on DStriker's 001 release).
Edit: Flashed MXROM - did not boot after flashing kernel, flashed DStrikerZ1 Kai ROM 001 and voila all working V4A running as it should, ROM snappy as never, smooooooth as silk. Testing battery, will take a while though.
